Who were you in FFXI?

In my sig... quit FFXI after a rl job change shortened my gaming time... 75 was still cap. Good times they were! :cool:

I agree, good times! FFXI has a lot of sentimental value to me, without it, I wouldn't have my son. I quit while the cap was stilll 75 and I kick myself constantly for quitting. I met a ton of awesome people that I still talk to.

I played on Ifrit from 2004-2007ish. Got PLD, BLM, and RDM to 75. BLM was my favorite job for NMs, dynamis, and general messing around - while RDM was the most fun in exp parties (such a busy job, in a good way). I dumped all my merits into BLM.

I was Supafly from Ifrit server. I quit after CoP and {Sea} access. Had a fun run as a white mage mainly.

Davian of Remora at least before server merge is when i quit playn... Just started on FFXIV a few weeks ago

I was an elf from Alexander, leveled Pld and Whm to 75, then quit when Wings of the Goddess came out.
Not telling the name~

My favorite activities were the good old capped CoPs, BCNMs and Divine Might runs.

I'm not really playing XIV now, but still considering it, if things improve.

I also agree.. FFXI will always have a special place in my heart. It brought me all the way to England!
Believe it or not, when I bought it I didn't even know it was an Mmo.. haha. All I knew was that there was a new FF game and I had to play it. >_<;

I played from release for a couple of years and then off and on until last year.

Minako from Garuda. I bought the game as soon as it came out on the PC back in October of 2003(?) my how the years have flown o.o; I was just in high school by then.
I think I became Minakochan on Lakshimi cause the name Minako was taken there.

I was pretty much all over. I quit before the Seraph > Bismark merge so that's where my XI character's final resting place is.

The one and only Wobi, first on Garuda for many years. Took a break for a few months due to RL issues and managed to get back on to say goodbye to Garuda on it's final night and woke up in Lakshmi the next day. Played into the first Abyssea expansion and quit about a couple months before Public Beta for 14 came out.

I was Gregrowe from Phoenix server. Started at 360 release, got banned in 09.

I was Lynex from the Titan server. I was 75 whm and dragoon. I had a 60 bkm but since I was elvaan I wasn't that good but it was my favorite job but of course whm was what I always had to play :( I had a RL linkshell so it was a lot of fun. We broke up when the new game came out I'm the only one playing the new game now some of the others are waiting for more content and a few are still playing ffIX and will continue to play untill the end of time or it goes off line lol.

lol I'm cracking up seeing so many people from Ifrit posting on here. It's funny, go to any FFXI forum and look around on any fan-site and the sections for Ifrit, the LS's made and everything are all quiet and sort of secretive. Come over here to FFXIV and people from Ifrit come out of the woodwork. :D

I'm obviously Arithana from Ifrit (Mithra there) however I was originally Darlithia from Ifrit (Tarutaru) and remade both characters here to look the same. 4 (?) years later, I just decided to take a break from XI and give this a shot with my new laptop and I love it.

After the introduction of Abyssea I got all the main jobs I wanted to 90 and started working on the +1 then +2 gear then realized that's all I was doing. I wanted something new and different. XIV may not be perfect yet, but being able to get on and go out by myself and successfully level at a fairly decent rate, to have that satisfaction of crafting gear at a low level and being able to equip it without having to gather an 18 man group to get it, that's pretty sweet.

XI will always hold a special place but maybe XIV can too. By the way, I know this is a Trabia forum and I'm on Istory but I do know that quite a few LS's, included one I was in, migrated their entire groups over to this server. It's sad that Ifrit is going to become Odin soon, makes me happy I kept my character names on here. :D

Arithana pretty much all of CKD and everyone who hung out on the yarrthepirate.com forums is playing on ifrit thats why. We picked Trabia when they first announced the server names. We posted it on the forums for anyone interested.

I was Zhango on Kujata server before the merge (Kujata was merged into Valefor, right?). I think I only played for the first 6 mos. to a year after the North American release of the game though. I gave my character and account over to a friend who kept it alive for a while, but not sure exactly how long.

Mostly played RDM when I did play. Can't remember what I typically had for subjobs, WHM and BLM for certain--but I left before the really cool Corsair, Dancer, and Blue Mages got introduced.

I have fond memories of XI from the time I did spend playing the game.

I was Davorok (Galka) and Teron (Elvaan) on Pandemonium.

Chikaze (Elvaan) and Rynoko (Mithra) are my RL daughters.

If we could find a Tank & a Healer we were always ready to PT as SAM / RNG / RDM (yes, Rynoko sometimes had to be the Healer but she hated it), otherwise we practically lived in "The Dunes" lvling secondary jobs (or I plvld them with my RDM).

When my daughters got interested in boys over video games, I was left to HotBox myself most of the time. (PC / PS2/ Xbox) 3 characters was too much to handle though so usually just 2.

Was a very good time, i loved this server and the friedly competion between the linkshells there. Had a lot of jobs capped at this time, but my favourite jobs were PLD and RDM. Loved being BLM in HNM, gave a good feeling to do 4k MB on Nidhogg. Good old memories.

Quit when open beta FFXIV came out, but didn't do much there. lol

Started on 2006 as a Taru called Maggote on Ragnarok, then when i hit smn 75 idk why dislaked that char and made an hume called Khax got war to 75 and then moved to Bismark and changed my name to Vax. four or five month later came back to Ragnarok with the name of Lynk. I guess more people will remember as Lynk but not sure.
At febrery of 2010 i throw my accout and on november i bought a new account but played a little as Arecyus. Now on Trabia i'm Arecyus Ragnarok.

I was Onji on the Kujata server. I played on and off from NA launch all through 2008.
