I'm going to create a lala who wears this and name him "Manbunny Mcfluffykins".
As long as people are having fun idc what they are wearing as long as they aren't trying to harass players. I have a male Roe alt I might have to get this for... For science!
Can't wait to use this with more roebros for sexy/sun times.
As a female who plays a male character, I won't be wearing this glam at all - BUT - for all of you others out there, you rock this costume like the sexy beasts you are!
L-lewd.
.....But I approve.
I was only wanting this for the bunny ears on my boy, but I will now buy the whole outfit to spite the whiny brats in this thread.
Ya'll need to focus on yourselves instead of what everyone else is wearing.
I'm putting it on my male au'ra alt immediately.
And I'll tank Savage as a DRK in a slutty bunny glam, and it'll be good. He's pretty.
Sidenote: I find it amusing the dude who's all about God's Light or w/e sack of bull has a Man Seeking Woman ad in his signature.
I'm glad people are excited for it, I guess it's something to make a few people happy? I just wish that we would also get more masculine outfits as well.
^^^This seems much more plausible. Hell, 50/50 wouldn't even be an accurate percentage for the amount of female characters that are played by males vs females. If the gamer percentage was truly 50/50, there would be WAY less people complaining about something like a male bunny outfit.
Exactly, lol. The slightest bit of suggestive male clothing in video games is considered an abomination, yet those same people that find a male bunny outfit "disgusting" would have no problem with a bigger bust slider and more jiggle physics. Excuse me while I go put on my giant Roe fishnets and sashay around Limsa. >:^)
Let me stop you right there. Accusing someone of being homophobic because they don't like an outfit is bang out of order. Quit the tublrina crap. I'm a gay male and I didn't have any issues with their comments about the bunny suit. Hell I even agree to some extent, they're awful and the only reason I'm glad they're being made available to males is so I can have the headgear for some lolglamours.
Wear what you want, you do you, but everyone is entitled to an opinion and just because it doesn't match your own does not mean in any way that they are wrong.
As another gay male, "homophobic" is definitely the wrong word. The issue with the bunny outfit seems more along the lines of straight male gamers only wanting to see suggestive clothing on females and never on males. That doesn't necessarily make them homophobic. What you're saying implies that the male bunny outfit was only created for gay males, which isn't true. Don't be that guy please. "Homophobia" is a term that is thrown around too often.
Let's go with "fragile masculinity" instead :>
Let’s go with “Eh..” instead.
bunny suits not for me buuut, I wouldn't mind guys being able to use the striped socks from the valentine female set, but hey if I had my way guys would look a little girly xD
This isn't suggestive male clothing, this is dressing in drag. Not many women are into that. It's more comparable to those guys who really like those absurdly muscular bodybuilder/androgynous women than it is guys who like the bunny suit on women.
Let me put it this way. Who is the most naked male character in the game? Godbert Manderville, who is 100% comic relief. Who probably is one of the most attractive male characters in the game if you asked women? Aymeric, who never shows up in anything than less than full armor. It's not as easy as just flip flopping what guys find attractive on women and say women find that attractive too.
Won't be using but I'm glad people are finally getting it after a looooooong time waiting.
Bonus points for not going to cash shop.
That doesn't make my point any less valid. Even if you were to take away the male bunny outfit, it does not change the fact most male gamers are uncomfortable with the concept of any sort of revealing clothing for male characters. Hell, just a hypothetical suggestion for above-the-knee shorts was considered unnaceptable.
I actually hate how this outfit looks, but I'm going to wear it for at least a month to show my support.
The spring bottom shorts for women tend to be tailored for them, like shorts in general. They tend to be snug and very high up on the thigh. If you try to make them a base, it looks bad on guys because of that. I don't think it's showing skin, because a decent amount of male players do a glamour the same as Ace D. Portgaz from one piece; totally shirtless with at the knee shorts.
I don't think guys mind showing skin. They just don't want to look like women or boys. They also don't want to look ridiculous. Conan is half-naked, but in a way that shows strength and masculinity. Classic Robin from Batman doesn't.
This blog post by Quantic Foundry is really enlightening on what that means in practice. It's a pretty good read, especially in the comments when they break down outlying games. Like Dragon Age is probably responsible for the western RPG percentage for being at 25% over games like Pillars of Eternity.
