It would have a lot of backlash for the reasons they shown, like pokemon go did. That is why they showed the phones being broke, being tossed in the river and such, it was to hint it was really a joke.

I though it was really well done. The video was great.

I really enjoyed this april fool. :D It was just so funny from the very special stick to the guys throwing their phone or destroying it and the dog looking like "wtf is wrong with them." The bad...now I kinda really want something like that. Maybe instead of being able to gather every item you could make this crystal, cluster, shards only. (And lets be able to give those to one character) Nothing better to talk a walk outside but also being able to get these crystals.

so many little details to appreciate...

The overblown accents, the VP taking his glasses off at the beginning of the video, the name of the company the Japanese designer works for, Fufucha Design, the underwater fanfare and broken fanfare.

When I saw this, this morning I had a hangover and intill I got the hamster back in to its wheel and get up to speed I really thought this was real.

they really wen't all out this year to do both this and the Magnai Fantasy vid (I assume that the NA and EU team did this one and the JP team did the Magnai one?).

Great April Fools joke SE, you had me right up until the fishing pole part, then I was like "Good one!"

Though in all seriousness, something like that would make a good app.. without the attachments.. smacking your phone into rocks, bushes and flinging it into a lake, but a straight app game to do all that tedious gathering while on the go would be handy.

Considering the date I expected this to just be an April Fools joke, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Good job SE!

The only real joke in Eureka is the turn in process for loot boxes / crystals. People just make fools of themselves way before this joke.
