I don't think resizing would really work here like it does in a game like RIFT where Dimensions are very freestyle in nature.
Instead, I'd rather see more space conscious furnishing design. Things like the wall partitions and bathtubs drive me nuts. Those partitions would be about 18 inches wide in real life and that's a terrible waste of space. The carbuncle bathtub was a step in the right direction and I'd love to see that trend continue. If furnishings were more reasonable in space requirements, apartments would be a lot more appealing.
Beds are about the only thing I can think of that it would be nice to have in race specific sizes since they tend to be the most personal furnishing and are less likely to be used by someone else. A lala-sized couch and dining table aren't much good if my Roe friends are visiting.
Lucky you. I didn't get the option, I stopped growing when I was 8 (that's real life, not lala life). It's awkward and frequently uncomfortable living in a world where nothing fits right because things are designed for normal sized adults.
It still doesn't mean that things should be completely redesign for my benefit, of course. When things are getting used by multiple people of different sizes, it makes more sense to design to accommodate the biggest and not the smallest.
