This can be done with macros in your summons. So I have 3 slots for pet skills and the skills change when I change fairies.
For example my summon (eos) looks like this.
/ac "Summon" <me>
/chotbar pet "Whispering Dawn" eos 4 ra1
/chotbar pet "Fey Illumination" eos 4 ra2
/chotbar pet "Fey Covenent" eos 4 ra3
/macroicon "summon"
And my summon 2 (selene) macro looks like this
/chotbar pet "Fey Wind" selene 4 ra1
/chotbar pet "Fey Caress" selene 4 ra2
/chotbar pet "Silent Dusk" selene 4 ra3
/macroicon "summon II"
This basically puts all 6 pet skills on 3 buttons of my expanded hotbar and automatically swaps them to the correct ones whenever I cast a summon
It already does. I have embrace set to a foot pedal next to my push to talk button so whenever I hit the pedal it casts embrace on the tank.
It's not a particularly bloated class. I play on a controller and have everything on 2 hotbars plus the expanded one.. Even place heal and loldissipation.
i swear sch feels less and less like a tactial healer and more like a healer with a babysitter
I had a few questions with SCH! I haven't mained SCH in a whillllee and I remember back then it used to be selene that was always the go to fairy, but now its Eos? Also I'm having a really hard time keeping my tank at good hp AND managing my MP. Now at lvl 70 as a SCH I usually put Exogigation (sp?) and a Adlo shield on them, and its usually good for mitigating damage but putting adlo shields back on is so costly that I end up really low on MP.
So whats the playstyle with SCH nowadays?
Let your fairy, fey union, excog do the most of the tank healing (occasional ET). Anything else delegate to your co-healer.
can we please just kill the pet healer and focus on more tactical heals and damage
Sch has 27 abilities if you don't count the ones that change with traits like Broil and Broil2. Then you have 5 role skills. 32 skills is two full hot bars for me on a game pad. That doesnt include Sprint, Limit Break, or any Fairy Actions although Fairy Skills can be used from the special toggle Hotbar specifically for pets. Im struggling to understand how just 2 hot bars carries all your skills as Scholar. Do the Key Board and Mouse Hot bars have more than 16 slots?
why would you use broil 1 & 2 in a separate hotbar? LB is always on my 3rd hotbar as sprint and stuff, you don't normally use those in an instanced duty. I have 1 hotbar for healing, 1/2 hotbar for fairy actions and 1/2 hotbar for dps. Tbh, as long as there are fairies there will always be extra buttons to push. And i don't want them to remove any of our kits. They are all useful. My summon buttons are in 3rd hotbar too because i don't need them on my active hotbars normally. So i actively use 2 hotbars.
It is like this: 1st hotbar: Physick - Resurrection - Adloquium - Succor - Sacred Soil - Lustrate - Indomitability - Deployment Tactics - Emergency Tactics - Excogitation - Aetherpack - Protect - Esuna - Swiftcast - Aetherflow - Sustain = 16
2nd hotbar: Bio - Bio 2 - Miasma - Miasma 2 - Aetherflow - Energy Drain - Bane - Broil 2 - Shadow Flare - Chain Stratagem - Whispering Dawn - Fey Covenant - Fey Illumination - Cleric Stance - Rouse - Fey Wind = 16
On my 3rd hotbar i only have things i barely use: Sustain - Dissipation - Fey Caress - Lucid Dreaming - Limit Break
Ah I completely forgot that that controller hotbars have 16 slots and not 12 like keyboard ones. Ok that makes a little more sense if you're using 32 slots and not 24
I use the summon buttons frequently. I tend to swap between Eos and Selene quite often in content so those are on my main bars. I was under the impression you didn't have any Scholar Native Skills on a 3rd bar but it seems you do. Confusion averted.
