To be honest? It would please me to get rid of most of it.
Here's the thing. Some people like having everything on a button they can get to ASAP. Like how some people have 100+ icons on their desktops. Other people, for whatever reason, would rather clutter be minimized and only have something out when they need it--here, the extreme would be those people who exclusively like the Start menu and rigorously place things into folders. I only want my Goobbue when I need it--which, aside testifying that I paid for at least one month of service before 2.0, I don't really see ever needing it. Yeah, it's neat, and I know it really hit the spot for some people, but it really doesn't even look fetching, with my poor butt bouncing in and out of its head, clipping issues with EVERYTHING, and my camera ending up in weird places (normally inside its stomach. o.0). In those times, I could be bothered to type a console command, like "/item "Goobbue Horn" <me>.
Now, if the UI were customizable, I'd be all for adding more options to interest those people who would rather have 20+ icons on a not-so-micro menu, and never open another menu in their lives. But here's the thing--that's only some people, and they added it for everyone. The way I see it, adding the horn to the micro-menu was like adding a Mandragora Hat (forgive the XI reference) to a permanent button (which we had none of in XI). I actually prefer the XIV system to XI because it's now possible for me to play with my mouse, if I so desire. A lot of people play almost-exclusively with their mouse--I get that, and I'm alright with it. I'm not DEMANDING that they IMMEDIATELY remove the Goobbue icon from my micro-menu. I'm merely saying that I think it was a bad move and don't want to see anything else added UNTIL we can customize it.
