I'm fortunate enough to have money but I WILL NEVER EVER PAY REAL money for someone to clear content for me. That is just idiotic and stupid.
You gotta be an imbecile to actually support this kind of behaviour/Trade

Again....good points....not disputing.
But the things I see lead to too many questions.
1: They usually demand/insist discord communication ONLY. - All chats in-game are logged/recorded.....good "convenient" way to dodge the bullet.
2: Its cost prohibitive/time prohibitive to transfer to a server for just a bloody clear. You can only take so much gil with you. And to top that off - you can only trade so much at a time. This I saw first hand when a friend (<3 Noel :) ) gave me a house as a thank you present/early Christmas Present.
That said.....defending the legitimate side - this means its limited to same server/world - and the cost of doing a clear is just..ridiculous. Your better off getting a bunch of friends to drag you kicking and screaming to get it done.
Am I broad-stroking accusing them of RMT'ing? As you pointed out...not 100% certain.
But this does beg a great many questions. And you'd think SE would be interested in looking into it....for all I know..they ARE. Doesn't mean they have to tell you that.
My whole point in this? Don't trust them. PERIOD. There's too many suspicions...and the last thing you need is to get suckered into an account ban (or nearly dodging one). *Aimed at the community*
If they where more transparent....I'd be fine with it.
But for them to be dodgy like that....and 99% of them are.....yeah...I smell a rat.
Let me start off by saying again that all I wanna do is preventing people from spiting on run-selling alltogether, using those people and RMT as an excuse for it because they dont like run-selling. So if we are in an argeement that run-selling through legit gil is okay and should be tolerated, then there is nothing we're actually disagreeing over. RMT in any form can and should be reported - we can agree on that aswell, I suppose.
I'm only arguing against people who want run-selling banned alltogether because of those people.
...regarding your points never the less:
1: Yes, Discord is a convient way to dodge the bullet there. But please, tell me: how would you ban the use of Discord to discuss ingame matters? I see static recruitments leaving Discord-info because its easier and more convient to use Discord to discuss such things. Again, just like there is legit run-selling there can be legit discord-only communication.
2: The amount of gil you can transfer has been lifted (even though I dont expect anyone to change servers to buy a clear). And yes, you can only trad so much at a time - or you use the marketboard as a work around (list an item for several millions, the person who ows you, buys the item - bäm, you've got the money)
The cost of the clear also doesnt matter - as with any service/item the price is dictated by what people are willing to pay for it. I consider 20 million for the Black Pegasus ridiculous too. Or 50 million for the Shiba-pet. Or 120€ for the Shiva-statue in the official store - specially if someone buys it only for the emote which makes the whole deal 120€ for an emote. But if someone is willing to pay that thats there choice - be my guest.
I never asked you - or anyone - to trust those people. Or to even purchase runs (my personal advice would always be to find/create a FC or linkshell with like minded people - to me its way more fun clearing and learning those fights with friends but if someone doesnt enjoy the same things I do, thats pretty much fine with me).
If you see RMT or something that reminds you very much of it ingame: Report that. GMs wont disclose wether or not they've taken action, which is a good thing - privacy and such - so you'll have to trust that they're taking appropriate steps.
In the meantime all I ask is that we remember that run-selling can be legit, so we shouldnt lump them alltogether - same with things like discord-only communication etc. As much as I dislike RMT... I'd hate it even more if legit people would get banned here.
1: Why would you use discord for something as simple as "hey I want to buy a clear from you"? Discord is a great tool - I manage 2-3 servers myself - But you don't need it for something as simple as a conversation that can be held in a party. My Point here is not about disallowing...its suspicious to be demanding discord when you can use <albeit very poor> in-game chat system which is more than adequate for the job. Bottom line - if they have nothing to hide...they don't need to hide in the first place.
2: Awfully elaborate way to go about it...but that's limited to one specific server at best....for transfer's..that is ALOT of work to go through.
I'm with you here on legitimately selling clears...don't have an issue with that.
My problem is....its reeking of shady methodologies here.
If I was legitimately trying to sell clears...I would use the KISS principle.
Keep it simple stupid.
This isn't simple...and that tells me there's a problem here.
Can I prove it? No.
Can I do anything about it? Not bloody likely.
All I can do is watch and see the stupidity of the party finder being flooded with this stupid assed advertisements I would love nothing more than to perma-block. Regardless of legitimate or not.
I wont respons to those points again, since I dont feel the need to discuss them - specially since we seem to agree on legit run-sells being a thing that we have to/should tolerate. No need to discuss methods on how to sell runs.
But I'd like to respond to the highlighted portion: All we need to resolve that issue is being able to hide PFs from certain people, example: Those on our blacklist. If you dont want to see those ads, you can just blacklist the kill-sellers - just how I would probably also blacklist the people looking for static recruits, new FC-members or people to ERP with.
It's in the images linked in the OP.

Yeah Ban them ban them all. Oh wait what happened to the World First Races everyone watches??? "They all got banned" lmao
Roughly how long does it take for a rep to respond and what's the bump policy?

Thank you.
There's no guarantee that you will ever get an official response. There's an official post at the top that has info regarding 'bumping'.
