FFxiv New Mounts Clouds Motorbike, Noctis Car

The roaders looked to be biomechanical in nature. Whether or not they'd be good mounts from a moral standpoint is up for debate I suppose lol

This exactly. As I mentioned in another thread, the theme of Garlean and Allag are fit to blend in with the style and setting of the other locations that are currently within the game. Bikes and cars of those in the OP, stand out too much as a much later period and look far to awkward in the current fantasy setting. I am not saying I am against bikes and cars, but they would have to suit the Garlean and Allag design.

Also, can we please stop calling the Adamantoise "rocket powered" for the argument of futuristic things when it's description mentions that it's ancient magicks. It is not altered in any way.

A unique magitek-created motorbike would be cool but I dont see much popularity for the ground-only mounts these days. The Regalia from FFXV however does tra- oh wait spoilers for anyone who hasnt played it.

Anyways, these ideas you've been posting have been kind of... well poorly thought out to be honest. Several of these mounts would be WAY too large and would do nothing but clip into most of the map. If you've ever seen a fighter jet IRL you'd realize it would just be bad as a mount. I could get behind another motor bike mount (I count the Falcon) but ground mounts aren't really popular outside AAR and end-game hubs since we usually unlock flying as we quest.

they can slap the same set of armor coating on it that the Rival Wing Gorilla has.

and why is biomechanical any worse when all of the original mounts are just animals like the regular chocobo, we don't abuse our mounts.

the "skateboard" would have the exact animations as the nimbus.

Compare the falcon mount to the cloud bike. Cloud bike is way too advanced to fit into the current lore of ffxiv.

why are you comparing it to the Falcon. look at the Magitek Avenger/Vanguard/Colossus, look at Cruise Chaser or ADS.

I wasn't aware allagan tech with all it's flashy lights, lasers, and metallic plating was classified as steampunk. :Thonk:

I meant more from their origins of being tortured twisted lab experiments that we'd be using to ferry ourselves to and fro. A fully mechanical one would of course sidestep that one concern (please note that I really don't care personally just looking at it from "we're the good guys" that permeates from the story even when they have us mass murder and was meant more of as a joke)

Allagan seems a mix of steampunk and low-cyberpunk. There's a difference between flashy Allagan toys that fit with the general theme of the game and essentially porting a modern luxury sedan or monster truck into the middle of Eorzea because it looks cool.

what is with all the negativity? the back water hick nations of uldah, tree hug, and sea punks the bike would look out of place but in the empire with ALL HIGH TECH, they are common as the air you breath.

so YES I want this, if you dont want your emersion to be broken then umm do go pass level 10 and stay at the silver bazaar....

Hasn't Clouds bike all ready been confirmed that it is coming to the Mogstation soon. I don't what all hate is for on these mount ideas. Bet Garlean empire drives around in cars and on motor bikes. Just look at there airships how advance they are compared to other parts of the world. Look at all Garlean mounts we been getting.

Adding full on remodeled bikes from 21 year old games and various other flying and driving vehicles to the game.

Meanwhile I cant get one specific hairstyle...

The bike from ff7 is already on it's way. It was already announced. I believe it hits once fanfest goes off and instead of getting it with purchase of the stream, this time i HEARD they are all going up on mogstation and also there is a cloud(EU)/tifa(NA)/aerith(JP) minion too.

Please no. TERA suffered terribly from this. There was nothing that jerked you out of a fantasy world more than those awful wailing police sirens.

I can see things like the Omega character, various ironworks-styled things or Garlean-styled things. We also get a personal helicopter-like vehicle now from PVP (Wolf Marks). But supersonic jets and the big car, I just feel like they'd be really out of place here.

RIP Immersion but at this point we've wandered too far from the light and there's no turning back.

Wait wait wait wait. Did i understand correctly that the minions are different for EU, NA and Japan?
I mean sure i would like to have the bike, but i'm not buying it from the mogstation for 25€ or something. If its not available ingame i won't bother.

When buying a Fanfest ticket, you receive the mount and a minion based on the Fanfest region. However, on the MogStation anyone will be able to buy the mount and the three minions.

Even making the mounts we currently have to fly is just getting a tad much.
Car and Bike mounts would just be silly and do not ever belong in this game

I would say Clouds Hardy-Daytona and that level of design would fit in Garlemald. FFVII AD fenrir and FFXV are just high tech to make it seem plausable. Don't get me started on the flying thing.

But the Regalia is a reward from the crossover, not something from the cash shop. They explicitly stated that when they showed the video.

People like many different kinds of mounts, and that's fine. But the developers are allowing enormous mounts (whale) and "out off place" mounts (motorcycle, flaming turtle, etc.) just because they can attract certain players with them but without consideration for how they effect other players' in-game experience.
Seeing a motorcycle in the Black Shroud messes with my experience, and when a whale mount fills my screen to the point where my own character model is blocked, that's a problem.

People with Paissa houses mess with my game experience too. Let's delete them along with the cars and motorbikes please.
