How do you feel about your Server?

Only had one person (now blacklisted) have the audacity to request that I change classes on Jenova, even though I need to use my main class to advance through MSQ content. Otherwise, I got a good community that's allowing my retainers to turn over items I put to market.

Hyperion is okay I suppose, it feels like "the middle child" as far as being recognized for anything.

Our server seems generous about waiting for hunt marks and I don't see much drama in /shout from people who had to finish up their craft, put something on the market board and then check their retainers first and then become furious that the hunt mark is somehow dead when they are in-transit. So there's that...

Leviathan is pretty meh to me at the moment. Hardly anyone in lower areas and it is hard to find active hunt LSs that won't kick you out after the first day (this has happened to me, haven't joined one since) so I don't get to do hunts much unless I find them myself. My FC makes it even more boring. They never talk in FC chat, pretty much just on Discord and don't really fit into the community even after being on Levi for almost a year. Debating whether to transfer back to Bryn if I pay standard sub or leave my current FC. Only in it because of a friend who hasn't played in a while.

Bryn (using an alt) however feels more active to me atm. People in high and lower level areas. People doing hunts and having more fun with my old FC (that my main used to be part of). Been enjoying the game a little more since started playing an alt on my old server.

Ragnarok feels kinda... Empty.

Sarg is largely chill. Some personal drama here and there in Limsa though, but I'm never really around to see it since I'm usually out in the field somewhere or at my personal house.

Hunt drama explodes when the devs put in major incentives to do them. Our Battlecraft Demimateria III market for some reason is unstable as hell recently, they wildly fluctuate between 4k gil one morning and 35k gil in the afternoon. I can't come up with any logical reason as to why that even happens, considering you can get dozens if you have desynthesis ranked up to 70+, which doesn't take much effort at all. Nothing else I can think of beyond that.

I'm on Moogle, and it's filled with french people. If I had known that beforehand, I would've gone elsewhere. As an english speaker, it can be very annoying to communicate, because most of them either don't or barely speak and understand english.

However, I've been playing on Moogle since the release of ARR, and overall, I do really like it. There's plenty of english speaking FC's, so it's not like im an alien in the bunch. It's also a populated server but not too crowded, imo. The people are generally really nice, too ^_^

My main is on Midgardsormr and I still really like the server. We're not preferred anymore but I think we're still pretty small. I run into a lot of the same players when I log on. Everyone is friendly; I don't recall running into any nasty players on Midgard yet. I have a lovely FC and have made a few friends I actually ran into during dungeons (what're the odds they'd be on the same server, right?). The nice bonus is that when patches drop, the queue is very short to log in. I don't have any plans to transfer from here any time soon, even though going to a larger server is a bit tempting. My raid group has characters mainly on Mateus and Balmung, so it'd be nice to play with them outside of instances.

My alt is on Ultros and honestly, I'm not too fond of it. It feels very empty. I hardly run into anyone, even in the bigger cities. Finding farming parties is super hard, I've found. No one knows what they're doing or maybe I'm just unlucky. I wanna switch my alt back to Siren where he started originally (I had a short but lovely time on Siren), but I transferred to play with a friend. They don't really play much, though, so it's honestly a big personal debate. I have no clue what to do with my alt besides getting through MSQ, but that's a drag when you have no one else around. :C

Mateus is basically Balmung lite at this point and noticed earlier this week it was locked to character creation for a while which has me concerned it might take be getting a bit too big.

Always loved Coeurl. Been on here for as long as I've been playing. It's certainly grown in the last year though lol

I'm somewhat surprised to see that my server, Famfrit, is somewhat... Lively... Nowadays. Maybe a time being preferred server done good to this quiet and casual server. Before that, it was not much difference between walking on the field or Ishgard. That was almost the same.

Now it is like Famfrit is a little comfy house.

And the NN are actually helpful. Even the flowers/sprouts tries to help. Drama is very, very rare (saw it only one time). Saw it only once. And the people who I talked is older, works or are attending college.

Have been on behemoth for about a year when i first started and the other 3 or so years have been on Leviathan and like it

I really miss when it was dead, but gotta say it's actually growing on me seeing people actually running about.

I started the game when Omega and Louisoix first opened. I picked Omega originally purely because it just had more people on it, but it died so quickly it was sad. I remade on Louisoix and I love it. It's pretty lively and the people are nice.

I love Balmung for all of its faults. It's super exciting just to be approached randomly for any kind of RP, and it REALLY brings life to the world seeing people who just walk around. Sometimes I even confuse players with NPCs when I have nameplates off.

I'm always surprised to see people say how "bad" our economy is. People should realize the reason prices are so low is because Balmung doesn't have gil bots flooding the markets.

I love mine, Its busy enough to keep active, quiet enough to enjoy the downtime, and just a little bit weird without being over the top. A lot of good people are here and it's awesome to see.

Love Balmung, hardly any issues and people around when your board can keep you entertained of their drama in certain areas lol.

Louisoix is dead, even before the content lull. MB prices are crazy. Hunts are nonexistent.

Cactuar is full of weirdos, I fit right in.

I think excalibur has a good mix of types of players, there are some hardcore raid and pvp players and also hardcore crafter types too lol. There are pull as they show up type people on hunts so if you hate that beware. There are only a few people also that say weird stuff in shout chat lol. The housing market is really bad here though, it is dominated by alt FCs who buy up all plots and gouge prices to relinquish so if you want a house this is a bad server to go to. There is a decently strong purple community though so that is nice! Purple ftw! :3

I have been off of famfrit for over a year now (I quit before they implemented cross realm PF) and it was very quiet and hard to find people to do stuff with. Most players don't talk outside of their friend groups so if you do not know them it made it hard to do content. Most players I was friends with would be active when new content came out then unsub after beating it. Maybe it is different now? I have an alt I level up and do MSQ on every once in a while but I do not actively play on the server. FWIW I have been holding my old FC for like 2 years now since the old members quit and they recently came back again, so shows how long some players take breaks for lol.

I really enjoy Balmung. There's always new people to meet and always something happening. It's really easy to /tell people and not have to worry about bots and the like. I like the life that roleplayers bring to the game as someone who doesn't roleplay. It's nice to stumble into the Forgotten Knight and find people roleplaying. Shout chat in some places are entertaining even if they can be a bit random? All in all Balmung to me is like a melting pot with people of all sorts.

Been with Mateus since 2.1

I first played on sargatanus at launch but I think I ended up on the wrong side of the crowd. Everywhere I went back then I ran into rude and unsavory folks everywhere. Even in dungeons ques back then. So when 2.1 hit I just started fresh(my sarg character was a fresh 50 so back then I didn't miss a whole lot when restarting)

Can't say I miss nor don't miss dead mateus. You take the good with the bad I suppose. Being a bit of a hermit and not doing much outside of my FC. Different people will probably tell you different things if they know me. Sometimes I'm a troll. Others a friendly helping hand. I'm just super temperamental and my attitude changes daily(retail worker. Someone put me out of my misery)

70% of the population is Miqos, AU RA and lalafels, the next 29.9% are all the others, 0.01% are female elzen.
I am wearing my hipster glasses as often as never before, lol.

Leviathan: I've been here since I started playing a little over a year ago, and I have no desire to leave. It's always active, even during patch lulls. Most people I've encountered are nice. My FC is fantastic. Overall, it's been a good experience thus far :)

Very friendly and helpful. The Novice Network is incredible and the mentors in general are great.

I'm on Moogle. Lot of french speakers in there and I don't know a single word of it. Overall I'd say it's a nice and pleasant place. It's relatively large but I still find myself hoping it would be a bit more crowded.
I've started checking my contacts list after instances to see if I've run with people from my server because I'd like to make a few more in game in game friends but strangely running into another mooglean almost never happens.

I feel like Ultros is one of those servers where it appears to be amazing from the outside looking in but it's actually only alright in reality.

Louisoix is alright. Can feel really quiet if you're in any of the later areas from HW onwards. Most people seem to have gathered in Limsa which is always bustling or at Quarrymill for POTD. I think very few people have carried on beyond that point in the game. Basically lots of sprouts with lvl 70 characters on multiple jobs bevcause as a server it seems the majority live in potd then hang in Limsa when not, "MSQ? What MSQ? Kugane? Ishgard? Never heard of them".

MB is also full of people who don't know how to MB. Selling regularly for 300k? cool. I'm going to sell for 60k. Then everyone panics and undercuts and newbies list at the under cut and before you know it the 3 items at 300k is now 12 at 40k and falling. I do see people try to restore it back to the 300k mark buy buying up all the cheap gear but it seems to be a losing battle on louisoix. Night Pegasus as example, selling for 40m last week or so it's had a few new additions and dropped rapidly to 25m yesterday with a near 5m undercut at 30m. crazy.

Apart from that though it's full of nice people and for the most part lacking in drama.

I came back to Hyperion like a month ago, and I regret it, because compared to other servers when I've visited some friends, it's empty. Limsa has just a few people compared to Brynhildr or Lamia imo, and also it sucks because drama people from the past still wants to make more drama (just the other day I had a tell when I was afk, saying bs and I told this guy to say it when I was on, then he said the most childish thing ever and I just clicked blacklist). As a gay person, most of the gays I've met here are toxic af, but the few friends (those you can count with one hand) are good. Dunno what to do tbh, if stay or just leave to a nicer server, any suggestions? (Just in NA).

So basically, although some people do run extreme content (myself included), most stick to casual and crafting/gathering. On the other hand, the community is extremely nice, so I'd recommend it to anyone.

That's probably the best description of Coeurl I have read.

It's a peaceful, laidback place and perfect for taking a vacation from prior hardcore pursuits. The inhabitants tend to be very nice with a strong interest in crafting things for each other.

Coeurl is lit fam. Get to do everything slow.

Shiva's ok, except Limsa. That place is a trash heap. I'm just glad I have my little Roegadyn linkshell.

I always remember the good ones.

May as well to the lot of the ones I've been on.....

Exodus: my first server, and it was fairly decent. That being said, this was also two years ago, and seeing it now on the list of preferred servers felt both depressing and mildly funny.

Brynhildr: also fairly decent, but didn't stay too long since it seemed like there was going to be a civil war breaking out in the Lalafell community.

Lich: when I was there, it felt more devoid of life than an actual lich. However, given how many people I've spotted in DF runs from lich, clearly that's changed.

Faerie: less a case of a good server and more of finding a good group. Once they stopped playing though, any interest I had in the server dropped immediately.

Balmung: as much as even I bash that server, I'd be lying if I had said it wasn't worth being there at the time. If it ever did open up, I'd almost consider going back in some form or another....almost....but between the ongoing housing dilemma and the sheer anti-Lalafell sentiment there, I knew it wasn't the server for me.

Cactuar: yup, it's there, it's weird, moving on....

Moogle: It might've been because of who I knew prior to going there, but I encountered almost no French players. I know it's the officially unofficial French server, but haven't really run into any. It is a good server though, and I'll probably come back to it in about a month.

Omega: Horrible, horrible idea.

Louisoix: I got paid nine million gil in transferring over. It was worth the three-month transfer lockout.

Hyperion is pretty alright, though I don't interact with the community super much but from best as I can tell most of the people seem pretty nice and there are a bunch of names I can remember from 1.0 (I migrated from Gungnir haha), so outside of the occasional jerk it's actually pretty ok!

Famfrit is my other hang out spot where my friends have a FC, and it seems a bit more active but that may be because I'm doing more to interact with people since it's a RP FC. I'm mostly there to help out but still a good time, with people who seem cool enough.
Honestly Primal is a pretty good datacenter over all, I think.

Ultros is alright. I'm in one of the largest FCs, so it's pretty active, depending. As far as activity, I guess it's okay? I don't really pay attention much to crowds. MB is also alright, not crazy cheap, but not insanely inflated.
