i wouldn't want the tail to be a special move anyway. id rather see it implemented into its stance more. I am in favor of more unique stances.

Elv was the best race for most DD jobs since you cap out on ACC on most things wearing the same stuff as everyone else and then have more STR on top. Galka was better for DRK whenever soul eater is involved (especially zerging). And of course Elv wasn't the bees knees as BLM/SCH nuking (or RDM chainspell nuking) but even then the differences weren't so great... though noticeable.



If they were to implement some sort of racial traits, I'd hope they'd have an equally small impact as the core stats did in FFXI.

Buying into it or not dude it happened. As a 75 DRG I know what I'm saying. I'm not pulling it out of my ass so sorry you disagree. Point being, personally, adding stats like it was for XI would suck. People are already complaining they get left out of parties due to Primal battles only want this or that for groups. Adding anything to make one race better in a stat over another would only amplify this issue.

On the other hand, I think it would be cool if it had race stats, if only human beings wouldn't take their prejudices into a game. ;)


And yes, Elvaan WAS the best for DD.

Good luck with this OP, I brought it up a few weeks ago and got the same response. Personally I like the idea of the diversity of the races but it seems not many others do.

yes it is too bad. it would seem like many ffxiv-players are very backwarded and totallt uninterested in diversity.

Acting like others are stupid or closed minded because they dont agree just makes you look stupid and closed minded. There is plenty of diversity in FFXIV and will be even more soon. We dont need stats on the cosmetic level. Face it, some MMOs have things in them purely for looks and in ffxiv, race is one of them.

And if they add them there will be more threads just like this but asking for them to not have racial stats.

Like I said earlier, I wouldn't mind it, matter of fact, actually thought about it a few times however, prejudices exist in the game and if your not "this" type than you will be excluded. Imagine adding more diversity causing more prejudice. That's all I'm personally saying.

Maybe I'm just old school, but I love it when race/gender/clan/religion/etc all have significant gameplay impacts. Min/Maxers are ruining this genre for me. :(
