What minor changes would you like Square Enix to consider?

I just want to see FC shields/logos that don’t look so generic and chintzy. Give us a much larger set of design options so they don’t all look alike. Then allow us to choose the size of the shield/logo when we put it on our gear. You can’t see them when we try to represent our crew.

I wish they'd fix that bug where if you try to combine two stacks of the same item after reducing the quality of one of the stacks, you won't be able to lower the quality anymore until you change zones. It is a very small annoyance but it can pop up a lot while running maps.

More vibrant hair colors (especially for the reds and oranges)
- or alternatively make the main hair color pallet use the same textures as the highlight pallet.

I'd be all for this, but this is not how undergarments worked in 1.0. Those slots only showed at all if you weren't wearing a top or bottom; they were just default backup gear. But a new system that actually allowed layering would be really cool.

Allow us to get raid mounts with pages, like the 04S mount. Current system penalizes people without a static who pug, etc, and can be like me who end up with 14 clears and no mount yet. Don't see any reason why this shouldn't happen. Just make it 8 pages, which is the amount of clears you'd have to wait at max if you were in a static.

Disallowing people who join mid alliance raid from looting in fights they don't participate in.

It's just an equipment slot that allowed players to change the default underwear, so it'd only ever show up if the player wouldn't be wearing anything in the chest or legs slots. For example, it'd allow changing the default underwear to the Red Summer Halter/Tanga.

OT: An ability bar for the chocobo would be nice, to allow players to force it to cast a specific ability.

• track 6 quests instead of only 5
• /combatbgm [on|off]
• maintain target circle visibility: no player special effect (e.g. explosions, huge ice blocks etc) will ever cover up the target circle
• START GAME logs into last played character with config option to turn this on/off
• show item location in unspoilt/legendary nodes once known (still require to whack it to "reveal")

I'd like to be able to get my chocobo to wait outside buildings instead of following me inside. It looks strange and it can get quite crowded in small rooms. Would like to see them either programmed to not come in, or to be able to give a Wait command that makes them stand in place until you tell them to follow again.

That already happens, for me at least. It takes a few seconds for them to shift into the selected position, but the game does remember it. You might need to adjust the time it takes for your character to go into 'idle' animation. (It's somewhere in the Character Settings menu, though I can't remember where.) Particularly useful if you want to use one of the "drawn weapon" idle poses - eg. it's the difference between an arcanist pulling out a book and reading it, or standing in battle stance for several seconds first.

Would be nice if it could be used for tattoos if armor not covering it.

I would like them to phase all of existing Eorzea into the current timeline, showing the changes which took place over the past several years. That's a minor change, right?

Seriously, though, I have to wonder what would be the most efficient use of their time by which to add cohesion or immersion by revealing the time that's passed so far. RT and Idyllshire are pretty much all we've gotten in that regard, unless you account pre- and post-completion RR.

WoW and ESO both use phasing to show visual changes to specific areas as the narrative progresses. That said, based on server limitations being a crutch for our devs.... I think the game would explode if they tried it.

Soft-phasing is near the top of my list for things I'd like to see utilized, but it's rarely been with an interest in long-term progression as simply asset generation.

For instance, think of the quests when you had to track down Bismarck / Thordan's airship via various sightings, but that ended up just being a lot of click-and-wait "destinations". I'd love to see Bismarck instead actually be moving across where you are, with formulas involved in order to base those sightings around player position (in case you go afk at some point) while still leading you to the mechanical goal.

Alternatively, though, I wouldn't mind seeing people and their purple puddles phased to just those in that section of quest progress, so that the purple puddles and (to everyone else) seemingly random spawns weren't necessary.

That said, outside these short-term things, I can't imagine a particularly noteworthy or smoothing use for phasing. If we could actaully see Baelsar's Wall, before and after, that'd be one thing, but it's very rare that any of those plot-changed areas or assets are actually visible at all in the open world or so forth until they've met that change.

Pretty much every opportunity to make significant use of phasing (soft or full) outside of removing the gimmicks or "destinations" and purple-zone spawns XIV has actively avoided, almost as if future-proofing against any need for phasing.

STR/DEX/INT/MND replaced with PWR (Power.)

They're all literally the exact same stat with different names.
Gear is job/role restricted anyway.
No one uses the materia outside of tanks.

I really love a lot of these ideas <3

1. ARR beast tribe experience should be increased, and the tier IV materia rewards dumped.
2. If you make a fun story battle, it should show up in the Gold Saucer as a minigame later.
3. Remove the obsolete stuff from the wolf's den, like the materia and the i70 and i90 gear.
4. get rid of alllied seals, unify the various hunts under one vendor. Everything is centurio seals.

More GS events and attractions and chocobo racing maps

Online catalog of all housing furnitures designed like those IKEA catalogs.

I want to be able to turn in equipment for seals via the item menu in my inventory, not by picking it out from the huge list.

More glamour weapon options would be nice to alter weapons further, akin to what the scythe on the mogstation does.

Harder fix I would like to see is the ability to put a one handed glamour on a two handed weapon.

Custom Map notes. So I can mark where hunts can spawn/unspoiled nodes.

I would love it if they introduced more short bow designs. Everything is super gigatic and it looks so weird on my lalafel main.

More fun/interesting achievements.

* Beat [dungeon] in a solo party
* Beat [x boss] with only a weapon (and stone) equipped
* Perform [emote] on [boss]
* Beat [boss] while [job] without using [certain skills]
* Cast [skill] on [boss] [x] times
* Perform song for at least 5 minutes in front of [NPC]
* jump over [small-size ad name] in [dungeon]

More achievements for things that aren't widely used
* Travel 2000 yalms (cumulative) via Chocobo porter.

A real bestiary that isn't just the old hunting log so people can try to achieve killing each available monster/boss in the game!

More levequests - some of us like having downtime to do solo content.

More mini games that aren't just yet another variation hitting something that's going back and forth very quickly on time.

Like someone suggesed pools for outside and inside houses. Garden/green houses in cities or housing areas, where you purchase your own for X amount gil and go in like in Barracks. So everyone has a change to have a garden without a house.

Some new hairstyles and new facepaints, 'bout time we'd get some new paints!

• Stackable maps
• Better servers?? (Just want to see peoples reaction to this)

Bring back 1.0 sprite quality now that we aren't being held back by PS3 >.>

Option to trade whatever the current uncapped tome is for poetics *Cough* Verity *Cough*.....but seriously with the loot lockout removed from omega normal, they are useless and it would be a godsend for farming the 6,000+ poetics required for anima weapons for more than one job.
