AST definitely has the weakest mp management of the three, but I don't think it's too un-manageable. I'd say it's the cost of versatility and such strong party buffs.
Plus there are a lot of AST tools for mana free/ogcd healing, like Earthly Star, Synastry, Collective Unconscious, the Lady, and especially Essential Dignity.

Honestly, I like how all the healers play currently. Each is capable yet plays slightly different. I hope they don't change things much, if at all, until 5.0 at this point

WHM lost Protect, Esuna, Divine Seal, Cleric Stance to the role pool. Stone Skin was outright removed, but reworked into Divine Benison.
We all need Swiftcast... so that is technically all five role pool slots for 5 skills for the skills White Mage USED to have by default. Literally, WHM was the one job harmed by the role system. Cleric is the only one you can fudge, but one skill to swap??
