No, people are using the search feature. Sure, making it easier to use is always good, but that's not the problem; I always see a few searches, mostly for Ifrit / Moogle parties.

The real problem is that we have 300ish players per server, then there's like 30 of those doing endgame fights, 50 doing strongholds (once you get level 45 there's a party going on every time), 80 crafting / gathering, 130 afk and two guys shouting for party in Ul'dah hoping that the other 8 players have a class in their level range and are interested in leveling.

Yes, I'm pulling numbers out of my rear.

I'm not sure what the leve names are. But there is one leve (I believe if you have the Rank Sergent Third Class) where you have to kill a specific target by "poking" the mob so it will "come out of hiding", pretty much a new version of the "find which one of the Dodo's is actually a Lady Bug" leve. This leve ends once you've completed the objective.

The "kill as many mobs as you can" leve is just like grinding with out a leve, only you get a exp bonus when the 15 minutes is up, and you can use Guardian Aspect.

This is just 2 bullet post of ignorant assumption. I see tons of people on my server on the search list. They have nots i nthere like looking to XP my CNJ, or Pick me up to heal for ifrit party, or cofer key party please. I literally get 2-3 groups daily when I register or start a group and look for members to gab of the list.

I've only seen the Japanese shout and purposely ask ppl to join via the search command, how is this bigoted? Just because I singled out the Japanese? I happen to know 3 languages and starting to pick up some Japanese due to this game. Yes it was a general statement but in no way was it racist or bigoted.

Level Sync ruined FFXI... People leveled entire jobs in Qufim Island.. never learning what any abilities above Lv.20 do. No thanks.. I agree with you on that, but I would also say that there where many good things about levelsync as well, made it much easier for me to help a friend level, and I would still get merit points for it.

was fun to get level apropriate rings earrings ane necklace, then put on my full AF set and go to the Dunes or Jungle ;p (DRG BTW)

Pre-Level sync I had fun just standing by a friends low lvl pt and throwing heals to help them kill way faster. Level Sync was just abused.

What if they added a level sync that only applied to +10 lvl's of the sync'd character? That would eliminate the possibilities of staying in a lvl 20 zone all the way to 60+ and it would make finding a party much easier by including all characters at +/- 10 levels of yourself.

I don't know how else to say it to you, my experience is on my server - if everything that was written had to be written empirically you'd never get past grade school. Because you couldn't assume the default position that everyone who voices their opinion on this board reflects their experiences on their own server - we're now having this argument.

So did you stay on the server long enough to try recruiting a party? Did you test who and which language speaking players could in fact auto join a open recruiting party without instruction? You know, solo guildleves are pretty decent EXP while waiting for a party. It isn't like you have to stand there all day and hope you get a party. Usually in about an hour or two, I would get a party invite. Behests also is pretty decent EXP.

I remember in FFXI when I leveled my DRG during the lolDRG days. People were obviously not going to invite me unless they really needed someone, so I always started my own party.

The ones who get to 50 the quickest are the ones who take initiative.

You may find a spirit bond party thats 45+ possibly a level 40 + party but low level parties good luck. Your best bet is to duo some leves or solo leves. Myself I have all those jobs at 50 and other than moogle, spirit bond, or the NM acheievments I have no reason to party. Again your best bet is a duo or if you are high enough grab a spirit bond party, other than that there really isnt many options.

At no point did i say i couldn't get a group lol, i get groups fine. I was just pointing out the FACT that when i do search for groups the seek function isn't used because 'no one' uses it - i shout. AND when I do shout I've already started a recruitment party STATED in the shout WITH auto translate.

and guess what? i get /tells from NA/EU players and JP players just auto join.

So where in my posts did i blame anyone or state i couldn't get a group? My first post in this thread was pretty simple, it was an observation that no one (4 ppl you said?) uses the seek function and no one other than the Japanese players use auto join.
