What did you name your chocobo?

Ciel (Final Fantasy: Unlimited) on my main
Sabra (Warsong, Sega Genesis) on my alt

... then on my secret alt I couldnt be bothered, and picked Q'wark ;p

My original main had a companion named Mayo.
I currently have one named Punpun.

My main character's chocobo is reddish-orange colored and his name is Firefeather.

My alt's chocobo is gloom purple with the black mage barding and his name is Taboo.

Chocobeauregard.

My Chocobo's name is Oriole; just happened to be what I named my first gold Chocobo in FF7 and I kept it for the memories.

But I have seen some entertaining ones on my server. Things like "Chocobruh" and "WarkTF" pop up every once in a while.

Mine is named Washburn, browncoats will get it.

Birdie. Not best name ever but does the job

On my main, Akashi Mousai, I named him Kiwi because I think it's cute :). On my alt, Krillin Kill'em, I named her Android 17 ;).

I named my berd Pucho. After my first online friend I ever met and shared many, many experiences with in FFXI.

I named it Iosefka. No, I don't know why I named it after such an exceedingly minor character, but it'd feel weird to change it after this long.

Mine is Snagglepuss & my husbands is Snugglepuss

Boco, referencing FFV's chocobo of the same name :D

I named mine Cygnus, Dydyna's is Lemon, and Nonomy's is Goldenhonor. I've seen a lot of "Kweh"s.

Ytsejam, named for the Dream Theater song (The Ytse Jam) and record label.

Mine's been Flustercluck since I started the game, because I couldn't think of anything more witty.

My racing chocobo is either Zero Fuchs or Maximum Pfeil, I can't remember which one I retired last. It's fun to find dumb names with the words they provide.

I simply named mine "Warkinator".

It was actually suggested by a friend of mine, and it's stuck with my bo since. Sounds better then "Kwehinator" anyway. :p

Gojira because I just finished an old school Godzilla movie from Japan when I created it and it just kinda stuck. Can we rename them actually? I might actually want to do that xD

Yes, you can rename your chocobo! Simply talk to the Chocobokeep in any of the starting city-states and you'll get an option to rename your 'bo! If your 'bo is stabled, go to its stable and choose Tend to my Chocobo, then Rename.

Kusoyamatarezou, which means King of Poop Mountain. He's loam brown, so he's poop colored. Then they implemented wet effects so when it rains he looks like a big wet turd.

Sahandrian. It’s a DND reference.

For Serena, I dyed it dark brown and equipped the valentine boarding and named it Godiva. For Mal though, I just ran with the hp reference and named it Salazar, so nothing fancy there.

Montblanc.

He's switched from helping a clan out in Ivalice to helping me smack FATEs around in Eorzea. Traded that pom-pom for a beak and some talons~

Things might get awkward if Ivalice moogles show up further along the 24m raid cycle.

I ultimately settled on 'Kuposawa.' But I also considered 'Noname' just so I could ride around the dunes in South Than singing "I been through the desert on a bird with no name."


On another note, there used to be a guy on Adamantoise, his name was 'Richard Phallus' and his bird's name was 'Cock.' I've never figured out how he got away with it as long as he did. (I saw him regularly for months.)

I really liked Rinoa having her little doggy companion in FFVIII, helping her out with fancy attack and support limit breaks. It just seemed appropriate :)

Next to learn how to launch the chocobo off my arm!

On my main, I went with with the name Vyse, from Skies of Arcadia. On an alt, I went a little more original. She is a Hume named Alicen West, and I named her choco B'east, so that they can go A. West and B. East.

I made variations of the Final Fantasy Summons, in order to come up with the following names:

- Kwehzacotl (on my main, based on Quezacotl)
- Biswark (on my first alt, based on Bismarck)
- Warkamut (on my second alt, based on Bahamut)

Dokibo. My Racing birds get the wrongest names I can muster

Mine is named Ceuran because I'm a nerd that couldn't resist diving into using Quenya for it. He's soot black XD
