I am on a 180 day sub auto renewal. I should not have to get times cards to "assure" something like this when I clearly have already and will be paying on a cycle.

Wasn't directed at you but since you asked, if you don't want to guarantee to qualify you run the risk of not getting the mount. Those are the rules.
The biggest issue it had was running a transfer incentive service at the same time. When the transfer incentives included free game time that would be an issue. The rules were very clear about what qualified or not. People forget you get 30 days free with a license purchase and when faced with dealing with crappy lag, the server relocation etc, transfers with the free game time were very appealing.
Having done nothing to get free game time, my consistent 180-day subs got me the mount first round. The issue with the mogstation not showing your eligibility until the first round were sent (Sept 5) was also poorly handled.
I have a month to month auto renewing sub. I simply went on as normal and got the mount on the last set. Didn't do anything that got me free days either though.
I can't seem to find WHERE you can check on the mogstation if you are qualified and not. Plus I have an month to month sub and the free 15 days for hitting lvl 30 screwed me apparently over. This campaign was poorly handled - again. It's like SE doesn't even think their campaigns through at all. Not the first time and it surely will not be the last.

Wrong we received 1 day tacked onto the end of our current subscription. https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...0716040e34a5b6
"Due to the maintenance accompanying the relocation, players will be unable to play for an extended period of time. As compensation, we will extend the subscription period by one day for all players who have an active subscription during the maintenance."
My Subscription renewed this month so I was fully subscribed during the period for the mount campaign.
