SE please gives the patch

Downloading maybe 40 MB before the download speed tanks to next to nothing followed by a patcher error. Already booted the launcher back up three times now.

I'm gonna give it another 30-40 minutes before I try to download it again. I don't wanna break something in the game files by trying to force the download when its throwing out errors.

Weird, I have five FC members on PS4 that got their full updates in less than 10 minutes each. This was after everyone started reporting issues too..

I'm not even reading it before I click on the confirmation button. But if it pops up on your launcher while patching and it closes upon clicking that button then yes. Your only option is to boot the launcher back up to repeat the process.

I keep getting errors like a lot of others. I wonder how stable the servers will be if this keeps up.

Ugh... Why do you have to be lucky while I'm always stuck with the error. if I don't get lucky soon you probably won't see me again in game for at least a month. that's how long the error kept me out last time.

Same for me, started downloading really slow, reach around 380Mo then error, restarted the download from scratch, downloading way faster but at ~400Mo error again and back to the begining.

Don't say I'm lucky just yet! 193 minutes remaining for me, fluctuating as high as 1100 minutes at one point!

I can't even get the dumb launcher update, I've foten as high as 40% and it starts to crash. This is really irritating. Whose idea was it to introduce new housing wards with a major update patch linked to one of the most popular JRPGs ever?

My speed starts off good then almost immediately drops down to .20MB/s or slower, eventually erroring out and having to restart the launcher. I'm only done with 1/3 of the patch now after 4 launcher attempts.

Wouldn't be so bad if housing was instanced in such a way that new wards could get spawned if old ones filled or something. But I suppose that would cause epic server strain?

This is hilarious but also really depressing at the same time. You'd have thought it'd be log-in queues or Shirogane / Kugane lag impeding the ability to get a house, but not this time! It's having to constantly monitor your PC until the download crashes, you restart it, have a brief flicker of hope seeing 6mpbs and then feel your spirit freefall when it indeed does drop back down to 0.03mbps. Repeat ad infinitum. Like a mini raid, outside of the game!

As such, I can't decide where I am on the emotional spectrum right now.

The funny thing is, I don't even WANT in Shirogane because I'm not even into the Stormblood content yet. I just want into Lavender Beds. I mean, yea, I have a place in Mist but Lavender Beds is so much prettier. Hrmph.

It's had to re-download the first 500-600mb twice now after my 3rd crash. This is fun.

After the fifth patcher error it deleted the 660 MB it downloaded and had to start from scratch. Super.

So far, the two times it has crashed on me it's simply picked up where it left off.

Something just occured to me. What if the update server is being DDoSed? I don't mean in use by the people actually trying to USE it. But just by assholes in general?

Same with me. This is getting a little vexing... but then this patcher has always made me cranky. There are far superior launcher/patchers. Why FFXIV continues with this unreliable one is beyond me.

Yeah, I don't give two shits about housing. The rarity of plots to players is too much to deal with for what little it provides. People get rabid about it though, and now we all have to suffer together regardless.

Hell, even Steam would be if Steam wasn't locked on version 3.1 or some stuff.

Nope. Friend plays Steam version and I have non-Steam version and we are both having problems.

PSN is only used to verify the launcher.

Same here. 810.00 MB exactly for me after struggling along at 0.14 MB/s. ;_;

I think we're coming up on prime "communication please" territory at this point, given the patch has been available for about an hour. I've been up for every patch launch, including housing launches, and I don't remember it ever being like this so I'm not sure I buy it being a just numbers issue. Either way, you wanna let us know what's up Square-Enix?

First download speed tanks about 30% in then error. I guess most of us wont be able to play anymore.

I mean. I wouldn't get mad if the maintenance end is DELAYED an hour or so, just to give all you delicious people time to get the patch before time comes.

Made it to 900 MB before I got the error the second time. >.<

After a while of getting slow download and even a crash the download is using my full bandwidth now (which isn't really that much). But that took so long that it won't be finished before maintenance ends.

Actually nvm, as I was typing this got an error again...

I have both a PC and a PSN license.

Can confirm PS4 download is fine.
