Literally came to the forums to see the post declaring balmung taken. It's gotta be any minute now.

Andddd I have a 1,900 person queue. Great game.

Shirogane Housing was a mistake.

I feel like I have a better chance of resubing to xi and getting a KC than i do getting a house on Balmung.

I think most of us are trying to get through the immediate 1k queue on login.

On ragnarok plenty plots are already taken by characters called "Gflld" (name is an example only) and alikes. Good luck to you guys who cares about housing. :3

3 am 1.1k queue on Balmung. Its overrrrrrrr

Yea, the lobby server crashed for me when I logged in the first time...then get like a 2k queue logging in...

Game Over I suppose for me.

I just wish I got back the hours of sleep i missed. XD

256 in queue as of the launcher going live. Immediately get the 'world data cannot be obtained' error message. Same thing over and over. :rolleyes:

My girlfriend just stood in front of the large house we were planning to buy for our FC, clicked on buy, got an error and disconnected. Good fucking job Square Enix.

Anyone else have an unbearably laggy launcher? I couldn't even type in my info and hit play due to the lag. Housing is such a great part of the game but it's implemented probably the worst it possibly could be...

I had to entirely restart my computer because the login button borked for me. :/ I'm really, really not impressed with SE right now. This is ridiculous.

I am so happy! Me and my in-game hubby managed to get the plots we were gunning for (30/60 and 8/38!!!) ^o ^

Grats to those who got something and those who didnt, just wait around a few months and maybe someone will quit when the hype dies down!!!

Cactuar, Shirogane full @ 5:15am CST.

Got screwed by 2 lobby server errors trying to get into the game. When I saw that 1,600 queue, knew it was over. Not even a point in trying.

Congrats to like....the whopping 4 Free Companies who managed to get a house on Balmung. Pretty pro design.

I am salty too. But you know what? SE does not care, at all.

There will never be enough houses. They will never create an instances house. And they don’t care that over 75% of us will never get a house. Apartments? Hah! Those things are cramped, small and a lame excuse to the mess they have made for themselves.

I have been playing since a little bit after launch and I STILL have no house. But they already have my money so they don’t care.

same for ragnarok less of 20 minutes after the start all land bought, the worst is i had trouble to login because of the login server for this 20 minutes and probably more of 3/4 of the house was purchased for be resell behind... or barely used by solo player... i still feel the housing must be reserved to FC and appartemant to player it will have solve most of the trouble across the board. but it's too late, then thanks for the new residential area, but no thanks for the poor way to handles it.

No.. no they won't. Based on previous experience on the server, it's locked down tight. Either that or you'll have to pay a 40% premium on the land itself plus the house construction costs.

The absurdity of this is that there still isn't enough to cover the initial wave of people logging in let alone anything else. Girlfriend got in there, was able to snatch a small, but because of a launcher failure I was pushed back to 1800 or so, which put me out of the running.

Yup still in queue and Balmung is sold out.

Our FC had saved 100m gil so we could have 2 runners for Large house and non of us could get it.
Large house need to be for FC house.

Hence why private housing in the wards never should have been a thing. Instanced housing should have been put in place for individuals if they don't want to give up on the 'neighborhood' idea of the wards. Its counter productive even to their idiotic logic. One person and maybe one friend who share a house vs huge FC's who will all hang out there?

How many houses did Rare and their members get this patch? They like to buy out wards and upsell them.

They've been doing that shit since housing release. It's pretty immature.

There are still a bunch of houses available in Coeurl. I expected it to sell out faster for some reason.

All the large plots were gone though (what I was going for) when I logged in. Managed to get a medium at least.

the worst is i already see people sell house at outrageous price behind... something must be done seriously. FC that want to have housing for us the FC workshop are screwed by solo player that want house when an appartement can almost do the same for them

Don't know about your servers, but there's an FC on Excalibur that deals in housing help. I forget their name at the moment other than the tag is HOME. The short of it is they basically try to buy up plots so other players on the server can have a chance of owning one so the hoarders don't hog them all. Though with this fabulous start with the version check and patch files download fails, I'd be surprised if they got any plots in Shirogane for the unfortunate caught up in this mess that got blindsided by it.

You're undervaluing the difficulty systems engineering costs, and how difficult it is to build on legacy systems.

Little bit salty since the launcher chugged and wouldn't let me ingame for two minutes then a 20 minute queue to get on. Can't be too mad since I chose to stay on Balmung -shrug- still kinda lame though

Welp, time to seriously consider unsubbing. Glad the one thing I looked forward to the most is completely gone in not even an hour.
