Quick match? Killing gets matches over faster than waiting on ice to pop. When everyone focuses ice I typically see matches get lower than the 8 min mark and wins being whoever gets the most points on the last ice. Otherwise with killing the matches last less than 10 minutes.

That depends on who is doing the killing.

Points are generated via Ice and Bases.
AFAIK, Points are only distributed via kills (+5 for you, -5 for them. Same total).
As such, kills would only make the game faster if the leading team gets them. If you kill the leading team however, that slows down the matches conclusion (which is what enables comebacks).

Kills still generate points. Yes it may be +5/-5 but if both teams are at 0 the team who got the kill would still be at 5 with the other team at 0.
