Couldn't even bother to make a SAM/RDM weapons/something new for it, would've given something to do for those who got everything last time it was up.

Again, it's neat for you folks who still need to get the remaining minions/mounts/weapons.

Well technically if they did make SAM and RDM weapons then they'd have to add two new minions to it as well and inevitably make getting the final mount even more horrendous than it was before. So yeah, I'm guessing that they didn't want to do that, and good luck to all the new players who have the hellish grind of the century trying to get the glowing whisper mount. At least all of those who have already done it don't have to try and do it all again,

Granted, I would put forth that now is the perfect time to level your alt classes if you still have some that are below 50 since the Fate grinding parties will definitely be back in full force for the next month.

I waited so long in the last event and grinded my ass off...but I had a system so it was okay. I'm pleased that they are bringing it back for those who are new or would like to finish. But they said old metals would be reusable? Serious SE? With the inventory issues we have do you really think people held onto crappy medals that they couldn't use and took up valuable inventory space, T.T

There's not really much content here that I was ever interested in to begin with. Will be continuing to distance my character profile from any association with this.

Seems like a largely missed opportunity being 4-year ana' for XIV AND 30-year ana' for FF in general. Figured something more centralized would've happened but I guess that is expecting too much of SE lmao.

I was hoping they would add new Yokai so RDM and SAM would get some nice weapons for glamour.

Dragon Quest X, Lightning and Shantotto events were all run twice. It honestly doesn't surprise me this is being re-run. I just expected the FFXI one to pop up first.

Well. I got all the minions and mounts the first go around so yay don't have to do this one again. No samurai and red mage weapons is kind of a downer though. Would have been cool to see them pair a yokai and weapon for those, if there was any yokai left. Never seen the show or know anything about it.

I would like to see the FFXI The Maiden's Rhapsody and Shantotto event again, Since they are doing this event again... I vote to bring FFXI The Maiden's Rhapsody and Shantotto back

Just be happy for the newer players who weren't around/taking a break during the original event. It's 13 weapon glamours, 13 minions, 2 mounts, and a bracelet. No one cares about the bracelet, but the other things other people wanted and couldn't get due to them never going to be in the mog station.

Imo the only people who should be complaining are those who didn't finish the entire set last time but throw away the remaining tokens. I sincerely feel bad for them.

Why is this an issue? Let all those new people experience the soul sucking FATE grind! \o/

Also "Please note, however, that samurai and red mage weapons are not available." am very disappoint, Yoshida.

The only problem I have atm is that a forum moderator said we could safely throw away the left-over medals though, as they wouldn't be used anymore... :(

Because both fandoms are dumb in different ways.
Wow players have rose titned glasses welded into their skulls. When Blizzard staggers the content of a patch half the size of 4.1 over a three month period they all proclaim the devs geniuses.
FFXIV players, or at least those on the forum want content to be exclusive so that they can brag about it, but also want content to be available for everyone cause if they are the ones excluded, exclusivity is suddenly bad.

Personally I am not bothered with events returning, things going to the cash shop and ultimate difficulty being far beyond my capabilities. If people who are better at Triple Triad, PVP, Raiding than me get exclusive stuff, I am happy for them. If there will ever be a Nier. Automata crossover and I miss out on the drops from there due to RNG or something stupid like that (looking at you Brave Exvius) I will be mad. But only for that.


I understand why this event had to come back. It's not about an SE product so these can't be put onto the cash shop. so if the devs of Yokai Watch want the pets, the event has to come back. It won't impact my gameplay negatively.

Well to be fair, if they add SAM/RDM weapon for youkai then players will be questioning/demanding those two weapons for all past events/instances that include weapons too. Not to mentioned when we get new jobs, it will just snowball.

This isn't the first time an event was re-used, dragon quest's event was done twice, ffxiii was done twice (then went to the mogstore) i don't see why this is a big deal that we have a returning event?

did they actually say this? i just remember them talking about a "the creators" collab and reminiscing about ultima online. I mean i already have the mount so will not do that part again :P, but guess they could add a new minion = weapon for sam and rdm.

Some of you make it seem as if the rerun of this event replaced a brand new event. That's not the case. They just wanted to bring it back.

Right now we have The Rising, which is a brand new event with new rewards and a mini-game. The rerun of Yokai hasn't taken away from anything.

And if you already completed it, you don't have to do it again. It's literally the exact same event.

I don't see what the problem is. Personally, I think this is a much better solution than putting the items on the mogstation.

It requires us to still put in the work, but we don't have to shell out money.

This is giving people a chance to get the mounts and minions. Not all of us could be around for the first time. I appreciate the chance to get these items and I'm sure a lot of others do.

As far as I'm concerned, I got all 13 minions, and weapons and thus both mounts. All the better if newer players can experience it too.... whether it sucks their soul or not.

on the mogstation thing, its possible they "can't" put em up for sale since its not their property. This could lead to them feeling giving ppl a second chance to get em (or a third or tenth in the future) is ok. The other x-overs are usually with their own IPs.
