I'd rather have flight without wings than anything.

For me I don't like riding big mounts. I prefer to ride my halloween broom. It's small and not overwhelming to my screen and me.

But I don't care about others large mounts, as long as they aren't up in my face.

But wings I just find annoying having to see (so the dun use dem argument is null with me)

It's simple. How would you feel if you went out on a walk (in real life) and noticed people all around in the most ridiculous costumes in the middle of a perfectly normal day?! If your friend, that you wanted to play some cards with in the park, came in a pig outfit, and brought along his girlfriend in a little fairy outfit coupled with a magical wand?! Sure, there are times, like Halloween or various cosplay events, when that's perfectly normal and all. But on an everyday basis, it is just...an eyesore.

And though I am not one supporting making that an offense in real life, and I understand that there are games where large part of the community wants that, I'd appreciate at least story-heavy games like Final Fantasy series to have that stuff to the minimum, so that I can actually imagine it as a concise world as I play it. Of course, it's just my "wish" that there ain't no way would be realized, but the notion of wanting that remains and it's an answer to your question as to why some people have that mentality.

I can name plenty of tacky, gaudy glamor pieces, weapons especially here in FFXIV. Those however are praised, or at the very least tolerated. That's part of what I don't get. The other half being someone mentions a fun silly lore breaking glamor it is immediately met with critisism of the usual replies "its not FF" or "those dang Korean games!" yet so many topics come up of people asking for...fun different or lore breaking glamors. Bunny suits for men come to mind and its met with praise. While those exact options are...in those dang Korean games for the most part. Coupled with threads complaining of "Oh...another robe glamor". I wonder if Blitzball becomes a thing and the glamor reward for playing happens to be something akin to a baseball or basketball outfit if it will be praised or burned at the stake since Korean games put in similar outfits for no other reason other then "just because"

I'd be all for wings of any sort, or even a series of different types, but when I hear 'Angel Mount', the first thing I think of is having either a Bloodguard model enemy (the winged knights you see in the Void Ark series and higher PotD floors) or Kuribu carrying you around bridal-style. Which I would also be all for. In fact, I'd probably pick that over actual wings if I had to choose.

More options are always good, though.

I'd support this completely. There are already moments in the game where we can grow those wings and float. I would love to have them as a proper mount option.

I would say it's more of a "hover board" rather than a Segway. And yes, it flies. Pretty much all mounts released since Heavensward fly - I don't think a single one since flying was introduced is unable to fly.

I was thinking about this and the parallel thread "remove angel wings" and you know what, solve both.

Create both an Angel Wings, and Devil wings mounts that are white and black respectively as "mounts", and map the "visor" toggle to the display of the wings in the character info page.

That said, something-something-about-immersion-loss.

I like wings or jetpacks in general. I'm hoping for the cloud mount as I tend to enjoy smaller mounts.

Those that don't like these don't have to us them.

I personally hate over the top swords that are larger than my characters but I'm not going to vote against them if it ever comes up.
