PAX West 2017 - Questions for English Localization Lead Michael-Christopher Koji Fox

While we got lots of epic sized lore in Stormblood, we also got lots of development on a personal level, with lots of characters visiting their home town, and Alisaie continuing to be best character ever (make her the new poster girl!!!) Will we get to learn more personal things about our favorite NPCs? So far the most developed in this regard is Alphinaud, who we know to be a ladies man that could give Thancred a run for his money, who draws very well, a skill he took up to woo girls, can't swim, is affraid of ghosts, and is very fond of politics. And his sister.

Yugiri is especially lacking in this regard. She is all about her duties and her loyalties. It would be fun to learn that she's affraid of spiders or something.

There are children of every race now (with au ra kids added in Stormblood)
with the large amount of hellsguard in Stormblood I was really hoping we could finally get to see what my character might have looked like as a Kid, yet there has been no Roe Kids in the game.

There is a weird fan theory that Roegadyn Kids look like Hyur due to the Roegadyn Father and Hyur Son found in the gold saucer. Are Roe and hyur kids the same? What do Roegadyn Kids look like?

What is the racial distribution within the Far Eastern cities? Like Doma (before it was razed by Garleans), Kugane, and Koshu for example.

So during Stormblood, the WoL was able to do an ability when he/she encountered The Lady of Bliss; this was something that they've never done before.
Will we be learning more about the abilities/mysteries of the Echo throughout the expansion??

The lore has always seemed to state and imply that Miqo'te Seekers of the Sun are still lead by females with a Nunh being a leader of a tribe as something "rare." However, both examples of tribal Miqo'te we've seen, the U-tribe and the M-tribe, have been led by their Nunhs. Are there any plans to show a Seeker tribe that doesn't have a male leader per the "norm?"

Is there a possibility we can get more lore in depth lore on religious to be found in Eorzea? As in how do they hold ceremonies (marriages, burials, blessing ect), if there's any rules to follow while being a part of that religion for followers and their priests. I'd love to read more about the Twelve and their worship!

Is there any overlap between the Kami worshiped by the Kojin, the Higan and the Doman? Some sort of Orthardian equivalent to Inari, maybe? Or is it a bit more like Ramuh vs Rhalgr, where there's two separate but related deities being worshiped? Is there a Ketsumiko counterpart to Susanoo?

Why is the Dusk Throne in the Azim Steppe in such disrepair?

Is there any more information you can share about the origin of the Au Ra? I believe its stated Hydaelyn made the Hyur, Lalafell, Roegaedyn, Miqo'te, and Elezen. Where are the Au Ra from?

Why can't we buy or make buuz?! My childhood demands its savoury meals!

Can you tell us why Nhaama left a sliver of herself behind at the House of the Crooked Coin?

The Heaven-on-High looks technologically advance but it doesn't bare any Allagan design. Was there Another civilization that was on par with Allagans and is the tower a Orbital Elevator?

Can we get some more details on the Mol old gods? Names, appearances, divinities, anything!

Are there any other special days to the Xaela tribes as a whole, such as the Nhaadam, or any particular days with special meaning or reverence to the tribes we've already interacted with?

Can we get more details on the life of Bardaam? Who he was, what he accomplished, or how his life ultimately came to pass?

Crafting in 3.xx and now up to 4.05 has been easy with the potential of the crafting skills.
Can you introduce "Savage" recipes ? even if it's just for a title.

Are we ever going to see the ARR and Heavensward Beast Tribes (and presumably the Stormblood Beast Tribes) story-lines cross-over with each other beyond just Nhaza'a Jaab turning up again to be an embarrassment to Keepers everywhere? The city of Idyllshire and the Vath Adventurer Guild seem like they'd be just the sort of people that the Ashcrown Consortium would love to do business with.

What's going on with the structure in The House of the Crooked Coin, at the far North end of the Azim Steppe? So far all we know is that it supposedly connected to Nhaama, and it looks somewhat mechanical with a purple haze at the very bottom of it. It does not seem natural at all, and I wonder if this means that there is more to the Auri Creation Myth than we currently know?

Is there anything you can tell us about the worship of Menphina? As a proud Keeper, I would love to know more about her! Have there ever been any cities or peoples who took her as their patron? Does she have a temple anywhere?

How did the Gelmorran civilization actually come to an end?

We've had lore that places Miqo'te in Meracydia for a while, but the lore book clarified the original 26 Seeker tribes as first migrating to Eorzea during the Age of Endless Frost from Ilsabard - does this mean that maybe it was the Keepers of the Moon, or their ancestors, who originated from the jungles of the southern continent?

In the final dragoon quest, it's revealed that Orn Khai was born shortly after the Dragonsong War began, yet he is still a dragonet. Is there a certain age range in which a dragon advances to the next stage of its physical development, or is it different for every dragon?

Can you tell us more about Erralig's Burial Chamber? The lore book says it's ancient, pre-Ul'dahn/Sil'dihn. What is the etymology of the name? Is it Amaljic, Belah'dian, or from as far back as the Qarn civilization?

In honor of all the geomancer namedrops around Yanxia, could the lore team slip a geoduck into the Big Fish fishing log and lore? I feel like there are jokes waiting to be made.

In the Azim Steppe we see some substancial structures and ruins. We see even more in Bardum's Mettle. Will we be learning more about when and how this structures were build and does this in any way tie to the third Au Ra tribe hinted at in former panels in the past?

The Rean are said to have been driven from their homelands long ago. Was this homeland the Azim Steppe or do they come from elsewhere?

Will there be anything more said in-game or what can you tell us about the Ultima Weapon or Proto Ultima? Fishing for details about their creation, whether or not the allagans were assisted by omega and/or ascians on the projects, what exactly is the heart of sabik, etc

We see the U and M tribes both operating out of their own settlements and following the traditional social structures of the Seekers. However the J tribe seems to be integrated into Ala Mhigan settlements. Do all Seeker tribes still follow the traditional cultural model or have the more integrated tribes abandoned much of their old social structure?

In the WAR questline they call the Inner Beast the Will of Keresh. Who was Keresh?

Kami seem to have similarities to the Elementals of Twelveswood. Is their some relation between the two?

We see a number of tall skinny enemies in the Kugane castle dungeon, including Yojimbo. Is this a race native to Hingashi? We also Tengu? A Hingashi beast tribe?

Deep in the Lochs we see buildings that look like Fortifications. They don't really seem to be intentionally part of the aquaduct system. What are they and why were they built down there?

How did the Great Flood and earlier calamities affect the Far East? Were there any arks built there?

Between the Mock-up Grynewaht Minion's description and the Journal entry, it's heavily implied that Hypertuning involves cybernetic augmentations. Is this explicitly true, or is it exclusive to Grynewaht, since the Hypertuned enemies in Castrum Abania do not visibly have the same augmentations? If it is false, what is Hypertuning, exactly?

Will Aulus' research facility in the Ala Mhigan Quarter be put to further use?

Does Varis have access to Aulus' research? If he disapproved of Zenos' activities, why did he not put a stop to them? He had to have known, either through remote monitoring or the Frumentarium.

Also, since we know that cybernetics are totally a thing... cyberarm for Raubahn? (Gotta ask again...)

Number XXIV is clearly a heavily modified Garlean soldier / test subject. What in the Seven Hells was Inferno?

We got a huge amount of Xaela culture and history from the Azim Steppe. What event drove the Raen away and why does it seem the Xaela don't acknowledge their existence? Do the villagers of Sui-no-Sato connect to the Raen who left the Steppe? Or from the Age of Blood?

Is the Age of Blood that created the samurai and the Age of Strife that brought ninjutsu to Doma the same historical event?

Will we get a Far Eastern lore book :D

Any word on the second edition of the encyclopedia, hopefully with a LOT of info on the continent of Othard as a whole, and the rest of Hingashi?

When will we see some Keeper lore in game, with how un-represented they are--especially compared to more Seekers in every expansion!
