New Imperial Invasion Events in 1.20

Also 2:05 GMT/ 6:05am PST in Limsa to aqueducts on Besaid

Edit: no pop at 3:05 GMT, so 2:05 was second pop. it seems they are starting an hour earlier now.

Yeah we didn't get a pop at 3:05 GMT on Trabia either

I would like to file a formal complaints to the devs about this event. Not only is it limited in term of people capacity and probably only available for a few weeks, it is also very unpredictable. Events before 2.0 being one-time events are best enjoyed when we can actually do them, everyone should be able to do them.

Unpredictable limited events (and retarded drop rates for tough Primals fights) is not fun. It's frustrating and designed for a limited number of no-life players. Is it the direction Yoshi-P is taking in 2012? Please tell us, I do have a life.

They should just pop an announcement on the Lodestone: from week A to week B, this event will happen every so or so hours.

I just learned something similar happened with attacks at Camp Glory a few weeks ago! I remembered an NPC shouting but never saw anything at Camp Glory. Honestly, sneaky events like this <censored by me>... post something on the Lodestone about it!

Sorry for my rude comments above, I'm playing for the story line and world story. I can do without the Primal weapons with their terrible drop, but why am I playing if I can't enjoy what is going on in the world? At least, I found posts of people that detailed the events and dialogue.

When the npc does spawn, does anyone know if he spawns at all three cities at the same time, or just a random one or two...

It spawns at a certain city. Had 3 people camping each city for a couple hours(Thank God we could at least craft) and it finally spawned at only LL. What I can say is that it seems to spawn at a 5-10 minute window at a certain hour mark.

There's a 10-15 minutes window, approximately after xx:03. I've gathered all the informations I've found in this Topic here, but I'm still unsure about the possible pattern on the Aetherial Node appearance...
Any idea here?

Spawned in Gridania lower adventure guild @ around 8 am est and then again about 9 am est. Selbina

Is this still going on? I've camped the spots in all three cities for hours for the last two weeks and have never seen it. Really disappointed and frustrated :( /Tugs Yoshi-P's sleeve I wanna play too :(

These new battles start from the cities.
They are even harder to get into because they only seem to last 15 mins in recruiting.

I've no idea, I'm afraid. I've been camping for him at Grid's airship dock and still have not seen him even once.

JP side has thread talking about how bad this event idea is, it's interesting idea but not fun at all for those who can't participate specially for casual players that logs in for 2-3 hours a day. There is no announcement players just suddenly found out and unlike the other invasions this one spawns randomly within the 3 cities and even when it spawns has a limit for 16 players total so even if you been sitting there for 3-4 hours waiting if 2 groups jumps in right away you miss out. They are also saying if this is what YoshiP was saying about LIVE events of the 7th Umbral Era it's huge fail since not all will be able to experience it due to the limitations and YoshiP said if you continue to pay/subscribe you will be able to participate in these LIVE events.

Anyways as for me I got the Gridania one yesterday and sent me to Aqueducts, took a while for the event to start once you're in and number of mobs that spawns is bit low compared to other invasions. Anyone know if you get a special achievement for trying to get all 3?

This just popped in limsa for the second day in a row on Rabanastre. Sent us to Mistbeard this time so i finally got both entries. I agree tho that these events are NOT a good idea, and the GM entries for cooperating with the Newspapers is even worse cuz there isn't even a pattern to try to see one of these GMs.... Should we all just be on 24/7 in case a GM decides to show up and hand out these items???? I thought Badly designed systems was Tanaka's deal but apparently Yoshi hasn't been doing that much better lately.

The two Lodestone History Achievements “Escape from Mistbeard Cove” and “Escape from the Sil'dih Aqueducts” are the only ones as far as I know.

Anyway, on the first part of your post, it somehow relieves me that the japanese adventurers who can't stay in Eorzea 10 hours a day also think this kind of randomness, forcing you to stay in just one place and cross fingers, is not a good idea. I keep on repeating it, hoping that one day the reps will answer me or that something will change, but so far it didn't happen.

Also, a little digression, I discovered just today that nice and important cutscenes differ between each Grand Company's missions; and this was a big disappointment to me who want to live the “LIVE” part mentioned by Yoshida-san, and can't possibly do it without having 3 different characters.

Reinheart, this is the Topic where I talk about this. Was anything like that ever brought to the attention of Yoshida-san and the community reps in the JP General Discussion section? I would immensely like to ask them where's the “LIVE” part if I can't live properly even the main and important cutscenes (unless I've 3 characters)...

Read your post and saw the vid, kind of sucks if you're not in Gridania GC we can't see events like that... haven't seen anything talking about this one JP side yet, maybe they did but I can't find it right now looking through JP side of the forum.

I'm torn I understand that it sux not being able to do events because they aren't scheduled 100% of the time and your the one left out in the cold(currently my standing for this event) cause you never managed to get them but at the same time I like the idea of events that aren't set in stone so everyone can get a unique experience >_>;.

With events like the ones for the holidays everyone can do them and everyone gets the rewards so everyone gets whatever costume / gimmick item / story they decide to give away. However for these events only the "lucky" people (or people who literally play 24/7) will get to see the event happen which makes for a more unique experience and I like the idea of having unique characteristics between different characters.

It's sort of like EG gear eventually after gear is released everyone knows which piece is the best one so everyone slowly starts looking more and more the same until everyone of a specific class has all the same gear and hence looks the same/has the same stats (The materia system is sort of blurring this point and/or making it harder to reach).

If everyone knows when these events happen (or can trigger them somehow) then suddenly everyone gets the same events and every character has basically the same experiences as the next (Makes the world feel less alive imo). I find it's more interesting when we get unique experiences like the first time I ran into an imperial invasion and was like WTF is this shit this doesn't happen!

From a developer point of view I'm pretty sure the guys who make this content cry at night knowing only a few people ever get to experience there hard work DX.

From a philosophical standpoint if a tree falls in the woods and no-one is around does it make a noise?

I've heard its random so it can pop 2x in grid, 1x uldah, 1x grid.. You could spend a week waiting in Limsa and never see it.

It should at least pop in all three city at same time then it would be a better chance..

I was so lucky to stumble accross the very first one and I have never seen another one since.

Ive been camping the npc pop area in Ul'dah while I lvl my crafting but am having 0 luck. Have yet to see this on Mysidia

he pop 3 am GMT in grid Besaid didn't make it though :(

2nd edit : poped in LL 9 PM GMT also it seems it have appeared in LL 1 or 2 hrs before that

Popped on Kashuan four times in a row now. Anyone seen it pop that many times before? Has something changed?

Its possible that the frequency has been increased as time goes by.

Are all 3 city-states aetheryte events the same? Milburd or whatever hear name is is taken?

what is this? If it is purple node with cultist plot. saw it 2 times. once in the airship dock in Grid. and once in Limsa L near choco stables.
