The OP did not state that the thread was only for PF experiences.

A sidenote: it wasn't with my static but a group of friends--would have been with my cohealer at least but he wasnt logged on. Not sure what you mean by well practised either since I was dicussing first clears?

Susano Ex:

joined DF blind. Someone explained a few things.
4-5 attempts and we got Susano down to 3%.
After that: joined PF kill party and got him down in likw 2 attempts. May have taken me 2 hours in total.


Lakshmi Ex:
read a text guide. Joined some awful training PF parties who couldnt grasp the most basic instructions (stop killing the damn add at 10-20% health and wait till it gets vrill buff),
Read the text guide once more. Joined Kill/Clear Party in PF...got my clear after 2-3 attempts.

May have also taken me 2-3 hours.

Considering that i did it all with randoms and "only" a week ago when the most hardcore people already had all of their kills and gear.... its alright.

I have PUGed. I even created my own PUG group yesterday for a mount farm. The duty completed requirement has helped. Had zero problems with either EX--lots of low (bad) DPS but never hit enrage so it didn't matter.

the fight is just normal mode with two extra mechanics

It has been tough. I know the mechanics back and forth but getting other people to do it correctly is the hard part. Best group got to 1% but problem is most people just keep dying. Unfortunately I find myself healing and raising more as a RDM instead of DPSing.



Some one earlier stated they found Learning parties better then clear parties. That has not been my experience. Learning parties you are lucky to make it past phase 2.

Not sure why it is that difficult to get 8 people together to beat this. I am not part of a static since I do not have the time to dedicate towards a static and my FC does not get involved in this type of contact and I am not planning on leaving the FC since the people in are great. So my only option is Party Finder.

I cringe every time I do is and see people with a big arrow over their head do nothing. I always think to myself "hey I got a big arrow over my head. perhaps I should move or do something instead of just standing there" And this is not the arrow that stuns the person either where the whole group moves.

I will keep trying though and perhaps at some point I will get lucky with a group that an clear it :)

Killed it last night after learning it. It's not hard. Lakshmi is the real joke but both are disappointing..

Early access weekend with half static and some FC members already at 70. Put up a PF for some DPS, and cleared in 2 pulls.

It was during the period of "who else is 70 so we can take you?" "Oh you are still stuck at some savage".

The sad thing is you went in with a static and you are saying it easy. I cleared in learning parties so at least I have the right to say they are easy and even more so than HW.

Joined a PF party and in 3 pulls the leader randomly left with some excuse.

Joined another learning party where we didn't say a single thing to each other and proceeded to clear it in one shot and then farm it.

I honestly think the fight is pathetically easy and has zero challenge, but I already know that's what Savage content is for. Susano is a fun primal and his fight is fun though, in my opinion.

Well, I mean if you came into a thread and said oh my lord this was so easy I cleared it with my static in one pull. I mean... by definition it's very easy to coordinate with a static. If you got randoms you'd probably have people failing the lightning left and right. I'm just saying that my original comment was more directed to hardcore people and the fact they can't really call it faceroll easy if they cleared it with their static. I mean sure it's a very easy fight but I just thought you were a pre made group so I laughed at your comment. Pre mades can make anything easy! I'm sorry if I called you out for it though as I understand you were not in a pre made even saying your co healer wasn't online etc. Statics don't really get to say it is easy when they had voice communication and all that... just my opinion.

It was a group of friends we pulled together because my FC didn't have very many 70s at the time.

I just think anyone who's done the fight has the brain power to gauge if it's tough or not by comparing it to other fights they've cleared.

Gonna try tonight with my FC! \o/ excited for Lakshmi tho I'm:mad: PISSED :mad:she doesn't have a weapon to drop. She was my favorite. I hope eventually we get weapons from her ....

Around my 3rd try I got him down on farm, haven't done it since getting my weapon but I pretty much know the fight by heart.

Joined random people in a PF and cleared after a few pulls. Both EX fights were quick to learn and easy to execute.

I joined several learning & clear parties since I was afraid to join farm parties without more clears under my belt and some were just awful...

After farming both for a while I can say it is very easy to get bad players who refuse to do mechanics.

Just got my clear on the second party (or first kill attempt party). I'm glad the party has enough patience this time to get this done.

The fight is easy but a lot of people are just that bad.

Update from my previous post. Got home last night, joined a clear party and finally down the sucker :). Then joined a Farm part and downed him 3 more time in a row and got the puppy the first downing. Entered another Farm part and killed another couple of times. So a few more times and I will have the weapon :)

But as someone else said. It is an easy fight, however, there are quite a few players the do struggle or they just do not try hard enough.

Have been at this for 4 days off and on in PF hoping I'll find a group that doesn't hit enrage or find DPS that knows how to fluidly do mechanics.

Echo buff when? This is a ridiculous boss, viciously reminds me of titan EX. Debating on honestly buying a clear, since I don't have an FC that does this kind of thing nor do I have the time or patience to slave through this anymore by praying I can find others that can understand a few basic mechanics.

I am so tired of this boss, so tired of DPS screwing up mechanics, other tanks wanting to do shirk swaps in OT stance when we both know the healers can't take it, tired of healers having to pick up DPS's poo.

It's needlessly difficult, not because I can't clear it, but because I can't find 7 others that can.

What I've been running into and idk if I already posted on this thread but...I keep finding parties that think 15% is a good time to stop worrying about mechanics and then get confused when we wipe? I wonder why we did.....lol

It isn't a difficult fight, make a group that's (really) about learning. If people are honest about not knowing and wanting to learn, things tend to go that much smoothly. Every time, if I go into a learning party it may take two or three or four tries, but they eventually pull through. All the people being dishonest about knowing what they are doing generally fuck things up for everyone else, because of course if they aren't open to learning they won't be contributing.

I do simpathise a lot with some of you having problems with rubbish groups. I was there for 2 days a a WHM. But I tell you once you clear it the duty finder with the duty completed ticked is gold. After my first kill I had to kill it 9 more times to get the weapon and every single group was very good. So just keep going for it once u have that first kill the groups out there are good.

I joined a jp practice group in pf when I first started. Got through it the third try. Apparently staying away from parties with 'Please know mechanics' is the real deal. You just don't know how toxic it can be.

Its normally the party leader who messes up the most then blame everyone else, like the One mistake = kick but heaven forbid the Leader makes a mistake and you point it out = kick anyways.

Best thing to do when entering a training party is to have someone explain it phase by phase (Party leader or a friend).

Explain phase 1 then try to pass it. Move to phase 2 and so on til you down it.
This way, you make sure that everyone in the party is on the same page, and that there is no one who is lucky enough to dodged everything without a clue.

If the party is showing progress, the chance of rage quitting will be very low. People will stick around until the last phase or stay for a kill.
