Let me put it this way:
RMT is already against the rules. There's no point in telling RMTs that what they are doing is against the ToS.

If it's from a translation, it would lead me to believe Yoshida may be saying, "It's against the rules because people can do this," not, "We're specifically saying doing it this way is against the rules." That's not touching on if someone is leaving the game, they have no need for 2m gil.


That is from your personal experience and not a macro perspective. Are you accounting for weekend warriors and fairweather players? 100k would more than likely seem like a lot to them, I'm sure. Nor do I think they'd want to spend said time glued to a market board or simply grinding out gil. Personal experiences are all well and good, but it's still a limited scope.

Either or, this has spiraled down into arguing over what is "enormous amounts of gil." So, to return to the topic, the game doesn't stop you from selling plots for housing for any amount of gil for whatever reason you deem fit. Just be aware that you can be reported and there may or may not be actions taken against you for doing it.

People where asking him questions about specially someone say buying 2 M small and reselling it for 50-100 M and some people did this in organizations as FC and such and had plans on who gets what plots for specifically reselling

It is different then simply selling a house that you used and do not want it anymore, that dose not break the TOS. as for the reselling of housing to price gouge they outlined it falls under this

3.2 Disruption. You may not in any way disrupt or interfere with the Game experience of other players, including the disruption of Square Enix's computers and servers.

just because you find 100k a lot of money or something so therefor 2 mil is exorbitant amount of money. THIS IS NOT what he meant, he was talking about a concealable amount higher then the house original value, i/e 50+ mil for a small, so on. Basically expect to be hit with something if you go over requesting over the original prices, 75 M for a large, 50 M for a med, 25 M for a small, do not ask these amounts or more. Do you think SE is going to force you keep a house for 45 days when you do not want it anymore? When you relinquish it for someone to buy you out of the gil. So say a plot cost 5 mil, I may request something like 7 mil to have it from me vs you having to gamble a chance when it is up in 45 days, time is money, and I should get something for relinquishing it specifically for a person. SE never said you have to sit on a house for 45 days because people scalp houses.

This is probably the best take-away from this discussion. Be aware that if you sell a house for ANY amount, you CAN be reported, The likelihood that anyone will bother to report you, and the likelihood that a GM will actually punish you, will increase the greater you inflate the price of your house.

The odds that someone will report you for selling a plot of land for at or below the current base cost of the plot is very low, and the odds of a GM actually punishing you for it are even lower. As a seller, though, you might be tempted to mark up the cost for what seem like very reasonable reasons ("Sure, the cost of the plot is 4 million now, but I bought it back when the plots cost 10 million - surely, it's reasonable to ask for my money back?" or "The value of gil on my server has gone way down from when I bought my house. Therefore, I should be free to ask for more than I originally paid to account for the inflation."). You're free to charge what you like, but each markup you add brings more and more risk to the table, and the GM who winds up taking you to task may not find your reasons as reasonable as you do.
