the worse i saw on Hyperion was 460 ish qued and that took about 5-8 minutes to clear and i was in.
this is complete bullshit, i have to agree with many in this post.
Is this really what im paying for???
An MMO with a subscription, and you have to pay for the game, expansions, extra (optional) content etc.
And even so during early access...it still takes hours to log in.
(Full game release wont be any better, or easier to log in during)
No normal person would sit around waiting to have a chance to play this.
And im not saying this because i've been around since beta of 1.0 etc.
The game has been in much worse state...no doubt there.
(I know this for a fact, i was there when we had no /sit comand, mailbox and trading took 5minutes to complete!)
but shouldnt these issues have been solved by now?
Im not saying i didnt expect this, becasue i did...but after sitting here waiting...
Im starting to remember why i quit playing this so many times.
Maybe it's time Square Enix started to realize facts, a Pay-2-play model just isnt the best option.
err. excuse me....hrrm.... pay-2-que.
also... since this is my 1337 post.... im considering myself very PRO at this moment.
The issue you want solved is less quality content, because let's face it, the msq got instanced because if it wasn't, you wouldn't have those epic fights. I for one wouldn't want to do the fight in Reach alongside 300 others. So it's a pay-off. We get tailored, fancy fights that fit story but they need to be instanced to give the proper presentation.
What you want is for data center/transfer technology to be ahead of what it is without contributing to it.
If one can't deal with ques, maybe just don't play a genre called MASSIVELY multiplayer?
This is nothing new, it's happened on release of ARR and HW. Did you expect SB to be different?
Entitlement tends to go hand in hand with ignorance and tantrums.
We all agreed to the ToS: " You acknowledge that disruptions of service may occur and waive any causes of action against Square Enix in any way arising from or related to any such disruptions of service. "
actually, the issue i want resolved is:
scrap the monthly subscription model.
It's old & overrated.
ESO has so many money leeching and pay to win things, but still lacks content. XIV delivers more for the money, but not at the moment in terms of actually being able to play.
Is it really too much to ask though? To play the game you pay for on a monthly basis? Where does the money go? Now I come home from work and won't be able to log in before bedtime. Yeah, great. If all people experiencing that would just unsub as suggested, you would soon be left with less content to look forward to :)
Well to be fair, I'm pretty sure it works more like a membership, or like this: You actually don't "own" the game, you just own a unique license and that license permits you access when your dues (subscription) have been paid. Except, they reserve the right to decide how/when you can connect to, suspend, or to terminate that service at anytime. It might sound scummy but if you aren't okay with how the service works I wouldn't buy certain games (specifically MMO's) in the future. Not saying that to sound smarmy or condescending or stand up for some corporation, it just doesn't do any good to get mad about queue times when they are perfectly within their rights to cap the servers or take them offline at any time.
As with any service you pay for, they can get overloaded. It is the very nature of these types of games. Here is the way I look at it. If I have to sit in queue until bed time, I instead do something else. The game isn't going away. If I must play during the day, I make arrangements such as remoting in from my phone to login early.
What will be the excuse when the game is officially released and more people start logging in? Cause the "You now, EA is actually stress and beta test" won't work anymore.
I'd go with "Every game is the same, we should just accept the **** and if you don't you're silly"
I've posted this before, don't remember where, but if anything, they should learn from other MMOs and their mistakes. They should also look at solutions other MMOs have had over the years to adress the same issue we are experiencing. This sort of problem is nothing new, but it sure won't go away if you just apologise and temporarily fix it. It will come back to bite harder. It is really sad when those who have been looking forward to Stormblood so much have now been left with a sour taste.
Thank you. I don't want to be the flaming nor the white knight kind on these forums given the circumstances. SE should do their job being the content provider and we should do our job and play and form a lovely community. That's all.
The que sucks. It is usually 4000 or more on Balmung. Changing servers is not an option for me or most of us. We have friends on Balmung and many of us have too much gil that we don't wana lose. That being said I am oddly ok with the 4k plus que IF I only have to wait through it once a night.
Last night I logged on at 7:30pm CST with 4.3k que. Took a shower, folded laundry, watched an anime, cleaned the kitchen, etc.. so and and so on. Finally, at 10:20pm I log in. I que up for lvl 69 dungeon as healer, get instant que, and get 90006 immediately when trying to transition to the duty. Now I have yet another 4k que to wait through.
One 4k que a night is acceptable but these massive amounts of 900006 or whatever that cause so many of us to have to wait through 2 or more log in ques is ridiculous. Some of us work and have a life out of the game. If we don't get home till 8pm and can't log in till 11:40pm to play for 20min before bed...............
