Error CE-30022-7 on PS4 after updating launcher

I would like to know why SE didn't foresee this ,did they not test this?

Who saying they didn't test it, as not everyone is having the problem. Refer to my previous post in this thread on page 4.

I believe it is down to the Hard Drive the PS4 Slim and Pro use, I'm not totally sure though.

got to be sisters and nephew use a first model ps4 works fine but my ps4 gold give me the error code and we're all on the same modem and everything so whatever issues it is it's PSN and their newer model ps4

cant wait for 5.0 preorder where we have to delete the game.

yeah reinstalling now gonna take 9hrs so better work or someone getting chewed out over the phone

It seems to be a case by case basis....er...console by console basis. Me and my roommate both play on the ps4. I downloaded the patch/expansion just fine. After I saw this thread, I re-opened the launcher and logged in. Didn't have any issues. My roommate on the other hand....he didn't have as much luck with his ps4. He's currently redownloading everything.

yeah and what if after reinstalling it what takes hours and it dose it again then what? cause by that time phone support wouldn't work as no one be around so take it someone at SE on the phone now chewing out PSN for them to fix their mess up right? or unleashing the army of lawyers you most likely got on PSN so when their barking/snapping at their heel their trying to fix this right? or you all just sitting around listening to PSN blame you guys?

I am still at work so I have not started the download and I must say that reading this so close to early access start makes me worried, angry and disappointing.

You guys at SE KNOW that the launcher and version check errors happen a lot and have not stopped appearing for many of us since they first started appearing. And now here we are, to the pinnacle of disappointment. An entire expansion early access possibly ruined for many of us due to the same issue that has been lightly poking at us all since forever.

Yes, I can probably uninstall and reinstall but, guess what, if I do that I would be looking at almost 3 days of continuous download of all content and patches + expansion because I don't live in a super high internet area. Absolutely unacceptable.

I very much hope SE and the dev. team as well as PSN give a bigger push at these ever present launcher and version check errors in the future so that this never happens again.

Expansion disappointment start: 11 hours before early access.

I pray this error does not happen to me.

maybe first creating a backup to a extenal hdd before starting the client. If the patch corrupt the client then you can restore it without downloading everything again. A try is it worth.

So if I delete stormblood how and where would I go to reinstall it?

Yeah I had problem at first but then everything went ok after resetting the PS and restarting the download. I definitely did not want to have to re-download the entire game, no sirrie not at all!

I have to reinstall my whole game, just because the client got screwed up on PS4. Ugh.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems this is only happening to PS4 pro users?

Because I just installed the whole thing without a single issue (thank F for that)

What are the steps to reinstall the game? On PS4 I don't know how exactly.

Library -> purchases -> click on FFXIV and download.

I got the CE-30022-7 error after I tried updating the game to Stormblood. I figured out how to delete the game on my PS4 in the storage settings but I do not have the disc because I upgraded from PS3 to PS4 so how am I suppose to reinstall the game?

Fair Warning!
Total Download to reinstall the game is about 35GB
Keep that in mind before you start!

Here is what you do:

1. Go to the Stormblood Icon on Your PS4 menu and press the Options Key on your Controller
2. Select Delete in the sidebar menu that pops up (Don't worry your hotbars and stuff will be saved)
3. Go to the Library Icon in your PS4 menu and enter it.
4. Select "Purchased" in the menu on the left side. (The one with the ps store icon)
5. Click on "Final Fantasy XIV A Real Reborn" and install it. (Be careful you might have 2 there, one normal and one Beta, don't select the beta)
6. You might get asked to install Heavensward too, if so just select it and then click "Download All". (It's about 11 GB)
7. Once the game is installed launch it as usual and login to the launcher.
8. Follow the instructions on the screen to link stormblood to your Account
9. Download a 22GB Patch.
10. Breath easy and await Early Access

I got it to work after following the above post. The most confusing part is when you go into the library you have to change it to purchase. Was looking for it and games and it wasn't in there.

I had the CE error on the ps4 pro, did the uninstall reinstall. And got hit with CE again. Just finished reinstalling, and I'm afraid to try again. Luckily I had an old ps4 that has the updates until April, but to reinitiallize, so I have to update and redl other things. But now I'm still unsure of trying the launcher a third time in case it happens again.

Thankfully i was able to update fine on my PS4 Pro, Having had so many issues re-installing and patching 5 or so months ago i was worried.
Now i am dreading the actual larger patch tomorrow :(

Got the error and reinstalled everything. No problems here afterwards

did anyone else here who ordered the digital CE for the PS4, when dL the SB update did it offer you the CE or just the early access and Pre-order bonus items?

Only Early Access and Pre Order Items.
I guess we get the CE at the official launch when we log in.

So, I reinstalled the game and after I log in I get the error:
Unable to download pach files.

I changed some configuration on my router and worked /o/

This seems likely to happen when restoring from a backup.
This can happen in any game.

I'm on PS4 pro and I didn't get any errors. The client updated and then I logged on. I downloaded the patch then closed the game out. Reopened the game and logged in again and the expansion started to download. Once complete I closed out the game again and then reopened. I logged in again and I'm welcomed with the maintenance notification and greyed out play button waiting for the play button to light up! /relieved

It seems that there is a possibility of error occurrence in all software when restoring from the backup by replacing the hard regardless of PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro.
I solved the problem by reinstalling Final Fantasy 14

Still 8 hours left on the first 11 gb download. Definitely not going to having a good start to early access. Stupid PS4 and Aussie internet problems...

Same problem with my PS4Pro.. I re-installed the game, but when DLing the SB update via launcher, I get 3GB in before screen goes black and it says "Can not download patch". Ive tried 3 times now. What the hell ?
