give highlander gladio face

I think i went through 5 or 6 fantasias before hitting highlander and feeling like i'm happy enough to never think about changing again.
yet i think Au'ra look like they have horrible skin diseases

I guess everyone has their own opinion?

Yeah, I really wanted to like Au'ra when they were first released, but I hate the shapes of their faces.

The reason I don't like Midlander faces much is because they have such weak jawlines and soft features. The facial hair is also very sparse. At least Highlanders have structure and dimension to their faces.

I get that this community seems to favor the softer appearances, it's just not my style.

Highlander could us more agile running effect, not like a stiff tree running like a butt hurt jiggle wiggle.

I haven't been a fan of the male hyur race in facial choices either. Highlander faces are all a bit too bold and limiting, and look rather aged whereas midlanders look a bit Derpy.

I'd like it if femRoe didn't have 2 settings. Potato and dominatrix. If you're not a cat or lala then hope you like masks.

In a way kings hair is basically like gladio's. Literally one of my favorite hairstyles to be included into the game thus far. Had to get a haircut for the husband, but I might just go back to it anyway... :rolleyes:

This is probably the best face ive seen so far. Outstanding job creating it. I spent hours (years ago) trying to make a decent looking highlander male and couldnt pull it off. The above pic is excellent.

A mature experienced Warrior is exactly what I was going for when I 1st started. I wanted a face that was mean and showed he'd seen some shit and survived the worst the world could offer. He wasn't ever meant to be handsome, but a guy you wouldn't want to mess with. I only changed him, because I wanted my wife to have something nice to look at as we play.

Isn't this the exact point of Highlanders? Everything about them was designed to be scary looking. I'd think a pretty boy would be the village punching bag for wanting to look like a baby face midlander or snooty, knife eared hot shot.

Eh, pretty much any race can be made to look good or to look hideous. It all depends on how tasteful the character creator is in designing both their characters AND their glamours. Some people's idea of taste makes the rest of us cringe lol (I'm looking at you, galka in a subligar!)

Hey now! Some of us might just think a Galka in a subligar is the pinnacle of masculine beauty! All jokes aside I agree with what you're saying. I personally believe the character creator could use more options but from what I've seen from everyone on here and elsewhere I'd say its good enough to make some unique and often times beautiful creations. The races are unique enough to offer most, not all, people something they might like.

You would think a pretty boy would be a punching bag, but Oscar De La Hoya, Muhammad Ali, Georges St. Pierre and a bunch of others would prove you wrong. Adventurers are the freak shows. "Basically we all play what we want because we have certain aesthetics that you want to represent." is the adventurer logic. The OP did not specify this, just said highlanders are ugly. However, the reasons we have what we do is because of lore. The player adventurer ideally has some of that lore within their character.

Lore-wise, Highlanders do the best they can to appear intimidating and will go so far as to file their teeth, purposefully pull their teeth out, make scars to appear more battle-harden and have tattoos. Also shaved eyebrows.

If they ever expand CC, I would love to have filed teeth.

Beauty is subjective. Some people find Au Ra nice looking. I don't for example. I can agree only with a better CC system for all races and genders. This I have been asking since 2.0 launched. We have too few options. Everyone is a clone to someone else with only haircuts saving what can be saved in terms of character appearance. The dev team should improve the CC it needs it's Reborn edition.

Please. Gladio is clearly a Roegadyn, not a puny Highlander.

for some races i think it is better but for specific race/gender combinations i think roegadyn females and highlander males have it the worst
