If there was some way to actually get the Dr Pepper cans reliably from overseas I'd have done that. I don't even mind the Gamesmaster magazine thing (even though it objectively sucked and was managed really badly) because having a terrible option is still better than having no option at all, which is currently the case for most of the 'EU' region in the absence of a way for people outside Germany to import the right version of Dr Pepper. So sick of everyone else on my server flying around on clouds while I keep reloading the Lodestone like a desperate person.
I just don't understand why they felt the need to region lock the codes on top of all of the arbitrary restrictions on participation. How is it logical that people on the opposite side of the planet from Europe have to wait for the European campaigns even though it would be easier to use one of the other tie-ins? Heck, the 7-Eleven one would have been easy for me to do since I was over in Tokyo while it was running. Argh!

Is it really that difficult to have a promotion with Amazon?
I'm not going to spend over 10 euros on a cloud mount and another 10 euros on clothes.
What's the point of creating a promotion if it's only going to work for some people and the rest has to pay for it?
Promote your game, create questionnaires and polls, make people share tweets or take part in screenshot competitions, etc.
There's so many options and we haven't even had the butler and white fat chocobo promotion here yet.
They simply don't care.

It's still disheartening to see players on my server with the promotion items whilst I, myself, have no easy way to obtain them. I could stomach it for a time but now that it's been roughly a year since the first batch of promotion items went live and most European players have yet to even be given a fair, easy opportunity to obtain them it's becoming more than a bit tiresome.
They already prevent European players from using Japanese or North American codes. So even those of us who have Japanese and/or North American friends with spare codes cannot go down that route. With that in mind I feel like it wouldn't be unfair to just host the promotions in North America and Japan whilst allowing European players to just purchase the items off of the Mog Station. Then, later, open up the Mog Station purchases to everybody regardless of the region their account is locked to.
Or, just cut losses and throw everything up on the Mog Station in the immediate future and cease doing promotions if they're locking a significant number of players out of highly desirable items for over a year. We've been told that they'll 'eventually' make their way onto the Mog Station but there's still no update as to when that will be.

Where the hell is our promotion already?
