Don't worry, I actually like it.

From what I see it won't hose anything up. A new pet... that.... would hose things up or potentially be useless... or rather make the other pets useless in the grand scheme of things.

As it stands it appears to be an extention to the Ruin 3 Spam lead up to Deathflare (aka Teraflare).

Personally the animation and visual effect is cool and its really all we'd need, so even though the reality of the game and combat situations invalidate Ruin 3 spam lead up in many cases...

The visual effect itself is cool.

If the Added attack I saw it doing while standing next to the Summoner (who appears to be casting a Ruin 3 variant) is an smallish area AoE like Painflare addition... then it will have a GREAT use to us in the grand scheme of the game, and incredibly valuable...

It will still likely be ditched in favor of the instant Deathflare when Boss Mob invulnerability may be likely... but it would seriously save its usage when we are dungeon crawling and killing Trash Mobs.

Suppose I should clarify what I said above...

If the added attack I saw it doing while standing next to the Summoner (who appears to be casting a Ruin 3 Varient) is a smallish area 50-100 potency AoE attack addition to your Ruin 3 spam lead up...

Then it would be incredibly valuable for Dungeons when clearing the Trash mobs, and less likely any Summoner will forgo it.... in favor of just poping Deathflare early on the whole pack and using Bliz 2 spam to clean up what's left after the BANE DoTs, Painflares, and Deathflare.

Maybe I'm just being optimistic but I personally believe it replaces your current egi... the green isn't an aoe its the effect that happens when an egi does a pet action.. the bahamut itself did the last Deathflare... and personally i think there is a possibility that we might have to sustain bahamut some way once its out... 20 duration with 5 of it being summon animation... it having autoattacks as well as pet actions... just doesnt make sense for it to be out for just 15... i could be totally wrong... but i still believe that it does in fact replace the egi and isnt just a standstill turret... i dont really think its just a spell effect.. makes so sense for it to come out just to do the deathflare itself without any other benefit. "shrug" thats just my two cents.

I love it, infact this is what I suggested as an alternative to pets in the first place. I hope in the future we don't get pets, only modes to activate in which a summon will appear do it's business and or buff us on a timer. That's how SMN should've been all along instead of having the pets.
