Wouldn't that make it dangerous for RMT employees to even play the game?

Is Panda's crazier than Moogles glued to sticks? Or riding a goobue? hmhmhmm
If they added Moogles on sticks and Goobbues in WoW...yes, yes it would be crazier. /in_context
Not really though, this is Final Fantasy. Those kinds of things are expected eventually, Kung Fu Panda in WoW on the other hand...never would've guessed it. Like I said Blizzard is jumping a shark.

(and yes Skyrim isn't that great when you actually analyze it and not look past its problems)
haha I sooooo beg to differ. There's no way XIV is better than Skyrim at the moment. And yeah, that's where I been. My Lizard Necromancer and Khajiit Thief take priority over my gladiator-that-I-can't-find-a-party-for. Even Famitsu gave the game a perfect score. And they hate western games.Quote:
Was gonna play Skyrim myself, but was so messy & well...
If gaming was just about looks, we'd all be pining for Everquest 3 and the next Crysis. In the real world, however, people play games that are fun.
Okay? I don't think I've read anyone saying XIV was better than Skyrim unless I missed a post.
FFXIII-2 also received a perfect score, doesn't really change anything about the fact it has some pretty glaring issues when they do crop up.Quote:

While you bring up a valid point about issues like bugs in Skyrim, I'm gonna have to ask: Where do you live that you have already played FFXIII-2, and can you hook me up?Quote:

Yeah...I've been AWOL from Wutai for a week or two. Blame Bastion. I got it on sale and it was so good I couldn't log into FFXIV until I beat it. Twice.
One problem keeping me from playing more is my desire to save some of my classes so that the job quests won't be a joke, and I can actually experience some xp party play as the jobs. If I kept leveling at a normal pace, I'd have most capped by 1.21. Apart from that it's been hard to find enough time to sit and do things I'd otherwise have left to pursue, like Ifrit and coffer runs.
finals. finals will end by mid dec.
I'm playing other Eastern MMORPGs since all western ones suck (TOR especially sucks), especially since AtomixRO is hosting a Blade n Soul private server, and the few single-players I've been playing (Dark Souls & Skyrim).
Well, i agree with OP. I myself got my playing time dropping alot since 1.18...nowadays i barelly play anymore. I'm mainly waiting 1.20 and hoping it's not nearly as bad as i'm expecting it to be before deciding about quitting it for good or now.
IMO the fee never really was the main issue here...everyone playing knew it would be paid sooner or later...but when a game keep losing population while free still then there really is something wrong.
When i look at patch notes meant to be for january of 2011 (released like 2 weeks before Yoshida taking over) and i see most we are STILL asking listed there i really get upset. If people let the game follow it's natural patch maybe we would be talking about the first expansion now...
Not on your server, but I decided to get pregnant and play Skyrim :D Hence why I don't have energy to play 14 :P LOL. In all seriousness, I'm just waiting for patch 1.2 for my husband to make up his mind if he would like to keep our accounts and slowly keep playing.
Also, on a serious note, Skyrim during my daughter's nap and having pregnancy exhaustion does keep me from pandering him about playing 14 :/.
Hopefully the 1.2 patch will be enough to draw in players to want to stick it out until this game gets on it's feet and hopefully you'll see a surge of players on your server.
Server merges are supposed to wait one whole year for them?! Open your eyes SE there's nobody here. Even the forums are starting to dwindle. Remember when the 1st page threads changed daily but still had dozens of replies in each of them? I was yesterday in a 3000+ que to (bad) DCU A FRIGGIN QUE! There's not even that many players on my server offline. A lot of the content was adjusted to prefer groups only but without people it's really hard to do content that would otherwise truly be pretty good stuff. I can't believe I even miss massvive behest groups :(
I have a shitty PC. That's pretty much why I haven't been playing. I wouldn't mind doing the same content over and over again with friends because that's all I basically do in other games. (Monster Hunter, Killing Floor, EVERY OTHER MMO EVER).
Until I build a new PC I'm just waiting for Xenoblade and XIII-2 I suppose. After that playing hundreds and thousands of hours of XIV and enjoying all of the content everyone here is bitching about.
There's diffrent kinds of content, but it seems we are getting the same type of content in each patch now.
New Primal fight, yet another round of upgraded recipes. (will this ever stop?)
More items to fill up our inventory space.
Im not really interested in these primal fights anymore, cool looking...but crappy stats drops...
I really thought the materia system was gonna be something that lasted longer, but it seems it didnt.
Only thing exiciting imo in the 1.20 patch is the Achievements system.
(wich wont last much longer than previous patch content)
And possible "Stats Allocation" , but like above...it will be fun for a few days maybe...
Id prolly find it more fun to play on the new unfinished engine, alot of bugs to go: "Wth!" about etc.
I agree it would be nice to have some temp. serves appear for the time being...
Bring back the Beta server names and just merge us all together under those names, then once 2.0 goes live bump us back into our original servers (Trabia to Trabia, Besaid to Besaid, and so on so forth)
You havent even been here playing since the game release, most of us in this thread been
here since & are getting pretty much bored of the same old thing after 1 year now.
(Infact if im not mistaken my first FFXIV beta gameplay were in summer 2010)
And i have more or less been playing since...like many others in here.
So yaaa....we are bored, you however seem to have alot more to explore than us, we already did...1 year ago.
And how do i know you havent been here since Releaseday?....
Your Lodestone "History", your first history "Achievement" was..."Camp Black Brush Reached!" (Date: 6/5/2011)
I dont think i need to say anymore.
Except, go ahead enjoy it.
well what i am getting at is if they just added something as simple as 10 high level nm's that has material drops like the original 5 did and would only be in game until 2.0 it would have people all over trying to fight the nm's and get their hq versions of the gear. let the gear stay in game after 2.0 hits, but remove the nm's. i remember farming the original nm's from the time they were released until 1.18 hit. i kept working towards all hq versions of each piece.
with just that little addition it would keep people doing things in between the primal battles. i understand that there's alot of content being made to come with the 2.0 release, but if they expect people to keep playing and pay for the game until then they have to put in enough to keep people busy.
it's hard for me to justify paying for a game when at this point the only thing i have left to do while that game is free is sit and wait on the next patch. i've been that way for a while now. next patch i'll have beaten moggles in a week or so and then be farming it over and over for the next 6-8 weeks.
Is very good point Darkstar, fully agrees with you.
playing the new FF14 killer.
tetris 2.0,
you guise should check it out.
like double the content. so much replay value.
For real though, getting all the Skyrim out of my system. So when 1.20 hits I'm not in zombie mode.
it the wait between those things and how long some of them last is whats killing people. btw those 2 dungeons...1 will be 25+ one will be 45+ guaranteed. Story sections last all of an hour if your lucky. Lack of things they are adding because half of them are working on 2.0 and stuff can't work on the crappy 1.0 servers is holding it back.
i am waiting for 1.20 and some other patches before that one, playing mass effect waiting for me3, playing ff13 waiting for 13-2, yes i hate scyrim.
Its tapered off slightly but its not a ghost town, lots of people on when i play, my linkshell is very active and I see several linkshells in the same situation daily.
yea lillitha you are correct about that one :P oh yea i forgot to add i will play swtor until ff14 gets better
Yeah Wutai looks pretty dead these days. I took a break by myself for a week and about 70% of my ls are on infinite breaks or back to XI. We're down to 5-8 the most time and count the wall bricks in ul'dah. History repeats in XIV, there's always excitement for 1-2 weeks after a new patch followed by 2 months of boredom. I don't expect it will change much till 2.0 at least. The game lacks long-term content we can do on a regular schedule. Faction/Roaming NMs got replaced by Dzemael which got replaced by Ifrit/Stronghold/Materia and i'm sure the Moogle will somewhat replace Ifrit for the players. Like Noomy said, something is going in the very wrong direction here and i'm really worried lately because I used to like this game a lot.
What's really not going to help next week is SW:TOR early access is now starting December 13th and patch 1.20 is December 14th. #smh
well, not everyone that liked Oblivion enjoyed this new Skyrim game.
Then again, we all got diffrent taste in most things.
problem is everything is given to you with outany sort of work to get it. they finsh everything then they get bored.
The biggest question I have is this.
By the time early Jan comes, are people going to still be around? This content might not hold people until 1.21, I know the moogle fight alone isn't going to even come close to holding people over.
Achievements are hit or miss, some like it, some won't be bothered with it. I was there when Blizzard first released them on WoW, they got boring very quickly.
