It is 2017 but the realism in this game is still subpar

In some ways lalafell make the best tanks.

Smaller targets are harder to hit. Less hits equals survive longer

First off, I don't think this is a "troll" post so much as a humor post. It made me laugh!

I actually used to think I wanted total realism in games, but over the years I've wised up. Still, this post makes me think of Ultima VII, where your party could legitimately starve or (in part 2) freeze to death. Which... actually isn't fun, though it can be funny once!

There was an upcoming MMO that plans to do this in a sense as its concept, only you reincarnate etc. Dunno if that MMO is still happening / for the life of me I can't remember its name.

If the OP wants that our chars got the urge to need to eat then we should do it consequent and walk this way to the end.
When our char has to eat there is also a chance to get sick or get bad food..ours chars might suffer by debuffs just like "Diarrhea".

And now imagine that in a dungeon..Tank stops right before the boss because he,his char in this case,has to poop..or even better he poops hisself during combat.Or he have to poop in the dungeon..damn oO

A little bit too much of realism eh?

I would dislike a photorealistic FF. Even FFXV with that graphics still look anime. I don't think this game will be good with kind of graphics. I like how is now.

Agreed. I don't wanna know how ffxiv would look like with higher quality. It'll probably change the look of characters extremely. Good or bad, I'm fine with how it is now.

Only think I'd be fine with having better graphics is when I zoom up on rocks or grass during gpose pictures. The textures look watery or just flat n pixels.

'Photorealism' is hugely demanding on the system which would exclude many players (not everyone wants or can get a top-end 'rig' that can handle such graphics meaningfully) and most 'AAA' games that could be called that aren't multi-platform.

1. 'Sweat' - what a total waste of dev. time.
2. This isn't WOW, XIV doesn't have to do what WOW does.
3. 'Immersion' is such an over-used word it now has littlle value .. size isn't everything. :p
4. In games where this was a thing ('was' because I know of no modern MMO or off-line RPG) it was a huge annoyance for most people I seem to recall.
5. Tax - we have it, it's called the AH tax, we don't need any more.

Photorealism is extremely boring. Give me the stylized and the surreal! Give me the strange and the artistic!

A judiciary system would be neat. The game should allow players to sue each other for defamation and identity theft (since there is only one WoL but everyone pretends to be one).
