I noticed they added this to the fine print this time for preorders: (people were getting free codes by canceling last time so they fixed that loophole)
Customers who pre-order digital or physical video games will receive their redemption codes once the game is live or ships.
The Amazon promotional codes will no longer be redeemable after December 31, 2017.
RIP long preorders.

Used a gift card my company gave me to get a psn card and didnt get a promo code email. Talked to support and they provided me the code.
Took a moment for the email with the mog station codes to come in but it worked. Didnt get the aetheryte tickets though - but no real big loss there tbh.
Only a small part of EU got Gamestop. UK had to collect 3 issues of a gaming magazine, then send in a selfie with the codes to get the rest of the reward. Some countries had a bar players needed to go to, and buy booze to get codes. Some got one piece of the promo and nothing more. France got a very short Amazon deal, that was really hush hush and barely anyone knew about it. Some countries which were promised to get the promo never did and SE basically said that they won't be getting it at all.
I feel well, it'd get me perma banned if I said it.
Contacted live chat. Did they give me code after confirming? NOPE! Just "Thank you for confirming. I have filled a form for you and our team will get back to you with the code."
Bought a game card and had to contact customer support for the promotional codes.

The codes for the promo don't go out immediately, it takes about a day or two for those to arrive. The EA codes for the Stormblood preorder took about 2 days to arrive.
Lot of impatient people, "I waited 5 minutes where my code!" but people can thank all the other people that abused the last campaign by pre-ordering something getting their code and then cancelling.
Aww disappointed they didn't do the maid/butler thing again like they did for Japan. Hope they consider doing it in some other way.
Anticpating the issues with EU, and the fact Japan could get the old codes again (but not NA, yet at least - could always be another thing) they should stop doing these region specific campaigns if they can't keep them consistent across the major playerbases that all shares the same living space lol, just a random imo (I understand if they can't do a campaign for that one person who lives on a remote flying volcano xD).
Can confirm that contacting an Amazon rep (via phone or live chat) is the best way to go if you don't want to wait on the email (which in itself can take up to 3 business days). I waited about 5 minutes for a rep using live chat and within 3 minutes after being connected I had my promo code (which i confirmed worked through the redeem site before closing the chat).
They'll just ask you for your order number.
Can't wait to enjoy these once I'm off work. =D
Last time I jumped right on the promo and it got delayed while people who purchased later in the day got their codes near instantly with purchase. Going to wait a bit this round. :)
If you purchased something that was instant download/digital, just contact their chat team. It's what I did and I got the code immediately. :) hope this helps!
Can confirm, contacted their support team and received a code immediately. I've entered the code on the redemption website, and received the item codes/put them into Mog Station already and everything came up fine.
Yeah contacting them Via chat seems to be a good option. Waited about two minutes for a rep and got my code in under a minute from them redeemed it and got send my codes from SE to register to my account
Bought a time card, got into support chat with a rep and was told, "Codes will be emailed to you within 48 hours." So I guess either wait it out or contact support again xD

EU/JP can't participate.
EU/JP accounts living in NA can't participate. (<-- Actually, these guys and reverse can't participate in anything due to the locks on the promos).
Stop with regional promos already and excluding player bases.
JP have their own Promos and already have access to the cloud mounts, but yes, EU gets left out again, for now.

To be honest.. it is likely that we in EU get the promo too. Cause last year yes were last and we are last this year too, but it still happend. Well about Gamestop.. we have a lot of divided opinions on this already, maybe it's amazon here too?
How long did it take the site to email you the code?

Contacted Amazon Customer Service. the promo is not extended to Amazon.ca. and it seems anything digital you cannot get, and anything Physical you will be paying about $20 CAD more for. I was thinking about pre-ordering Stormblood but for that price I can buy the digital deluxe edition on the .ca site.

Question. I have two extra retainers I am paying for along with my monthly sub. If I get a 60-day time card will that only cover the base sub, and the extra retainers fee will be taken off my normal method of payment? I want to make sure before I get one so I can get the items. Last time I got a gaming mouse to replace my old one, but this time those don't seem to be part of the promo. :P Too bad cause I REALLY need a new keyboard. *chuckles*
