Do you plan on playing RDM and/or SAM in Stormblood?

While Monk will stay as my "main" I'm going to give Samurai a shot once I got through the 4.0 story and got my crafters/gatheres to 70.

I got most of the ironworkers monk gear on my retainers (which will only be used for the Job quests thanks to PotD) and will just keep my current 270 Monk gear for Samurai once he get's to 60. :)

I have everything at level cap once SB release I'll level both but probably only main SAM, and cap all jobs after.

I probably won't switch unless I absolutely love Red Mage. I love healing too much and hate the DPS que times to switch to a DPS main. I look forward to seeing what they do with Red Mage tho!

I'm hoping to switch my main from SMN to Red Mage as the Red Mage has always been my favorite final fantasy class. However, if the game play is not to my liking I'll stick with SMN as my main.

Paladin and Scholar, same as before. Hate DPS, so the new jobs have zero interest to me. May level them up... eventually.

I will definitely main a RDM but I will also lvl my SAM.

For me it will certainly depend greatly on how Samurai plays out because as I said before Sword DPS Job is my original love in RPG with Speed type Sword Job being my most favorite.

How I started enjoying Gun jobs was sometime after when I started playing more Sci-fi style RPG games but my love for Sword DPS Job remains today my strongest unless they boche the job like certain RPGs.

Red Mage doesn't just change my main job. It changes my main character back to the one these forums see me as.

I just couldn't play Hyrist as a non-spellblade, not in a final Fantasy game (and.. well Dark Knight wasn't a good fit). Now that it exists, so long as the gameplay is entertaining enough, Lin becomes a 'secondary' character for gameplay purposes.

Red Mage, as i was waiting for some kind of spellmage also.

Trying both. There is no doubt about that. Plus I don't think the queue times for dungeons will be greatly affected

I might end up maining RDM. I've always liked fencing.

I'm going to play everything to 70 in the very least. Partially for the lore, and partially for being curious in how their battleness plays out.

I've been waiting for a sword melee DPS class and we finally get one. My MNK and SAM will probably be my top priority. I will also try out RDM because it does look like fun.

I don't really have an interest in either. I'm far more excited for the PLD/DRK/WAR changes.

First I'm probably going to level AST or MRD. And then once there's a little less than nine samurais/red mages out of 10 dps I'll try it out !

RDM was my main in XI, but healer will always be my main in XIV. However, I do want to eventually get all disciples of magic to level cap, so RDM will be included. I just won't be jumping on the RDM train straightaway.

I don't have a whole lot of interest in melee jobs. They are fun for a little while, but after a bit I start to go crazy when I can't heal people. I'll probably play around with SAM, but won't take it too seriously unless something about it grabs me.

In short: time well tell.

Definitely going to go SAM before touching anything SB MSQ related. I did it before on HW when I didn't like BRD or MCH and grinded MNK to 50. Queues weren't too bad, but I can imagine it'll be different with far more DPSes running around. I hope to get SAM to 60 realistically in a three days if all goes to plan, since I probably won't be able to take time off work save for a Weds.

If the healer "balance"s suck balls like I am anticipating they will, I will probably switch to RDM or SAM. Tanks get new flying mounts, DPS get new jobs, Healers get... jack $hit. =/

We dont know everything yet... Maybe we will get something?... I really do hope so..

I am waiting to hear more about the new classes, but right now there is a 90% that I will reroll from an WHM to a RDM.

I will be switching to Samurai from Monk and hitting 60 before even starting SB story. I always love melee dps as my main role. Not only am I a sucker for Samurai stuff, it will be a nice change from playing Monk since ARR.

I will also level Red mage for a ranged alt when I want something different. I like having a melee, tank, healer, and caster to play.

I leveled everything to 60 in HW and I'll probably level everything to 70 in SB. So yes, I'll be playing them sooner or later. Currently my main dps Job (when I dps that is, I tank 99% of the time) is Ninja but if I really end up liking rdm or samurai I would definitely considering swapping.

Currently DRK/WAR, gonna switch to SAM fulltime since it was my FFXI character. Guess I ll suffer the queues then :p

Currently leaning towards RDM but will wait and see if it has a super annoying mechanic to deal with. *coughmudrascough*

Don't think I will play ether of them. When played ffxi never liked ether of them so don't see playing them. Class I wanted they didn't bring out. Good luck with long wait times in df for dps classes when they bring them out.
