Yes, please! A glamour log would be awesome! :D my inventory is already at its max x_x and I love collecting all different kind of skins.

I would love a Glamour Log. I'd collect every piece of gear I could. Allowing us to collect all the glamours would really help ques for older dungeons :)

If Guild Wars 2 can have a Fing Glamour Log then FF14 can do it as well!

For heaven sakes one of the best thing Guild Wars 2 did right was introducing Glamour Logs so we don't ahve to waste space for Glamouring our characters and FF14 always had the ability to introduce this system as well.

(The another part GW2 did right was having separate storage system for Crafting Materials and basic Storage. Players have saved a heck of alot of storage space thanks to crafting materials having its own separate and organized storage.)

I'm happy about the inventory expansion coming, but I would easily trade it for a glamor log.
More space for stuff is less valuable than properly handling and sorting current items.
We have a similar issue with fishing bait.

They'd lose another reason to make you guys pay for extra retainers.
Of course it's not their top priority.

This needs to happen and it would solve inventory complaints. Glamour is what takes up all of our space.

Do it. WoW did it, and it's one of the very few things FF XIV needs to steal from WoW lol. It's a good system that solves a ton of problems and there is zero reason not to do it (outside of just being stubborn, which is a crappy reason)

I'll make the UI for them in exchange for 3 years of paid sub. UI work is easy...

I am surprised it wasn't brought up during Fanfest. I know they will bring up whatever server limitations they want, but this is one of the biggest features needed and requested since day one.

Actually my reason for making this thread is that Yoshi P actually said at PAX East that such a system was possible. From my OP:

We have seen plenty of threads suggesting this before. This thread is more about trying to show player desire for the feature to encourage them to add it to the features they develop next.

Glamour related stuff has always been highly requested from the community, dunno how this is not priority in a mmo, specially in ff14. Glamour is the real end game.
This feature in particular should be important, not only as a QoL for glamour, but it also involves freeing inventory space in retainers which is another highly requested topic (which *YEY* we're finally getting a piece of by 4.0).

Something that has more priority than glamour? Glamour being the endgame?

I would absolutely love to have a glamour wardrobe system in this game. It would not only free up a ton of space, but let me keep things a bit more organized. I was half expecting such a thing to be announced as part of the inventory expansion, but it seems it's not on the docket for now.

It's one of the most important things they could add to the game from my perspective. I basically don't glamour at all in this game due to inventory constraints, despite being huge on it in WoW. When WoW introduced the wardrobe and other transmog system updates, it honestly breathed new life into the game for me and the fact that I had so many more inventory slots as well as no longer having to periodically purge items I kept only for cosmetic purposes just made me generally much more positive abut it.

This would be much helpful to my inventory, both in space and organization. Having to throw away Coil gear because of space was painful.

This would completely solve my inventory problems, please SE I can't keep all the gear I like and you keep adding more. We NEED a glamour log!

Is it just me or people is asking for a carbon copy of the Wardrobe system from WoW? Because I'm really into that (plus, said system would have better efect due to silly restrictions in WoW). I want the Glamour Log to happen and I hope they give it a bit more priority, since, by the way they answered about that, it seems to be close to last in the to do list.

I think we can count on it happening at some point, but with it being so low of a priority I'm just hoping it can be done by the end of Stormblood.

I would love a glamour log since I change my sets a lot and go back and forth between sets. It would also be awesome to have individual glamours for each jobs, even with same gear pieces.

I'm glad to see we're wearing him down on this, this is the most positive answer we've ever gotten on the subject, and the admission that it would be possible to do is a major thing in and of itself.

So please, Yoshi-P, I'm showing my interest. This would, sincerely, be the absolute #1 thing that could be added to improve the quality of my game experience. I'm getting to the point, with six total retainers (2 + four extra) that between crafting materials and only really saving glamour items for White Mage, I'm seriously running out of inventory space on a constant basis.

Never fear, even if I could cut out the need to store gear on retainers, I'd still be likely to keep at least two of the extra ones, since just crafting materials and the various types of tokens still require a fair amount of storage space, and I like to keep organized, so you'd still be getting a bit extra money out of me monthly =D.

I found it ridiculous when he said it wasn't a priority. Like we've been asking for this for years (literally)

Im already paying for extra retainers for crafting stuffs, I don't have the room (or the budget for more) for all the glamour items I like/want/have!

This log would make my inventory so free!

A glamor book is such a good idea, I don't know why we don't have it.

Here's a small list of obvious benefits:
1-Solves a lot of inventory woes.
2-Gives us reason to collect gear from content by doing them.
3-People will buy/craft standard gear that they otherwise would never have to add to the book.
4-Achievements!
A- Gather 100 white items.
B- Gather 100 green items.
C- Gather 100 Blue items.
D- Gather 10 Purple items.
For titles, more glamors, and maybe emotes or mounts.

We need this.

I almost wonder if they want to wait to try to make some stuff account wide before making something like this so there's just one block of data being used for glamour unlocks per account?

500% throwing in my support for this. It'd help out our inventories so much; my retainers would probably cry of joy.

I would love some type of glamor log where you can set various glamor combinations that you can switch to when you want regardless of what job you're on.

I would still have to say that some more job specific type gear should remained locked tot that job for glamor but other regular gear should be unlocked for glamor use on any job.

I swear EVERY.SINGLE.TIME a glamour log thread come up there will be one genius that suggest this. There is literally no bloody reason for the gear to be destroyed when you add it to the glamour log. Just bind the gear to the character (like how's it's done when you glamour a piece of new gear) and call it a day. Hell, ideally you shouldn't even need to do it manually. The system should auto add it into the log the moment you pick up a piece of gear with a new model.

Seriously people, stop making things more complicated than required... This shit (destruction of gear when adding to glamour log) always trigger me so hard when I see one... :mad:

Honestly... Yes. XD I can't believe that with how long people have been BEGGING for this system, and how it's almost always a topic on the first page or two of GD that it hasn't been a priority for them. Poor planning on their part.

And please no random limits to how many glamour items you can store in it. It should be able to contain the full scope of armor appearances in the game!

If they plan to keep this game going something like this is an eventuality; unless they plan on not designing new glamours past a certain point it's just going to become more and more cumbersome to not have this.

I support it and I don't care in what way it comes in or is made off. Could be the most awful looking menu button I still want it lol. At least I could remove 4 of my retainers completely or use them for something actual useful.

I feel that once that technology is in it will make their jobs easier. So much information is stored on a lot of gear, why not give us a way to get rid of stuff that we're no longer using.
