What ilevel gear will be dropped in Diadem 2.0?

Well, but that's never the measure we use, tho'. We always measure by performance, not effort or investment, which means that people with better endowment will get the same results and thus rewards with far less effort than those with worse endowment.

If effort or investment were what we measured, a half-blind, partially paralyzed 80 year old with only one arm would be on even terms with a healthy and quick witted 20 year old. That just isn't possible when measuring by performance, though. Similar applies for genetical differences - some people have weaker bones, better reaction times, better ability to memorize, worse attention span etc. Not even going into early childhood development which is also outside of your control and has a heavy influence on your later perfomance.

Thus, measuring performance always partially rewards you for being lucky in the genetical roulette/the circumstances of your birth. As such, I never understood why someone should be rewarded for that. The Anima is probably a lot fairer in that regard, since your performance mostly affects how quickly you get it, less whether you get it at all - Almost anyone can do it if they put in the effort.

I'am a raider, and with the last Diadem, I was exited, because I could have better gears with extra secondaries stats (it was like Jackpot in some way).
It was just refreshing compared to raids.
For this 2.0 version, I hope it would be appealing, rewarding and elaborate.
And, I will don't care about other if they reach the same ilvl as me.
Skills is what will differentiate us.

I'm expecting item level ranges of 230 to 265, with the best gear only dropping from the special raid bosses in the central crystal.

I'm curious as to what kinds of rewards the gathering missions will have to offer, though.

i265. Aetherial gear's substat potential is potentially better than everything else. You can get lucky and wind up with 3-4 substats whose combined total is a good deal more than the 2 substats on any i270 gear. If it was i270, the pieces with a good substat allotment would be inherently superior to everything else, like when Diadem was released with i210 gear. Taking ilvl down a notch, it still can be better than raid/tome gear, but by a smaller margin, and it would always have a little less vit/defense.

There's new aetherial weapons. They are really stingy with weapons, so its almost certain those won't be i270. Those will probably be i265. It will make up for that there's no new weapon from PotD.

The rest of the gear there will either be i265 or i270. They will be i270 if they really want to make sure people will be doing Diadem.

Has Diadem every dropped weapons its tons of ways to get gear but weapons for multiple jobs is the main thing , Im sure it want but we dont need gear all the time

Id def beg the differ, who other than raiders said the jobs, are unbalanced and that pali and whm are horrible. It def wasnt casuals , nothing against raiders , I try my hand at it sometimes as well but this small majority definitely has some control over some of the changes that happen in the game

I would like to see other incentives besides gear, what if going forward the new relic quests... are all activities taking place in diadem. Like you'd need to kill that 50 man boss to get the upgrade crystal for the final step and some of the lesser NMs drop Umbrites and Crystal sand, and then one day on the highest peak you'll find yourself fighting on clouds with an airship docked nearby. I dunno, something cool

i280 gear and i290 weapons seems fair.

I like how some end game raiders call people casuals to insult, only to get outprased by some casuals, so they feel the need to own the best gear so they can show off and be more arrogant.

I'm expecting i210 Deepmist from Bronze chests, i235 Sunstreak from Silver and i255 to i265 from Gold which will require the special raid targets.

I would not be surprised if pink i180 crafting/gathering gear was part of the rewards.

If its not 270 the chances of people actually running it are pretty low. RIP Diadem if its 250-260

It's the end of the expansion, ilvl doesn't matter anymore. NPCs will likely sell 260/270 gear in Stormblood.

Won't this be last set of gear before 4.0? Which means it is probably ok if they break ilvl limit now. End set should always be a little off. Problem was first set from didadem was ilvl breaking. Also if it is casual enough and gear upgrades fast enough you appeal to all those "take a break" people.

So it evens up ilvl allows some people right at the end to get even. Maybe try some content since they haven't played for X amount of months.

Just make it ilvl275 or something. The Alexander gear is pointless right now, let's just clear all the shit before the expansion.

290 seems fair, raiders want to clear stuff faster too!

As a hardcore raider, I could not care less about everyone having same ilvl. I hope it is 270 for diadem. Lol how can anyone honestly care about it at this point and time...when 4.0 comes out, all our stuff will be useless...srsly, who cares ; ; I looooong gave up on having any kind of gear status meaning annnnything in this game. Or anything for that matter. I just do raiding to kill time and out of pure boredom, while waitin for stuff to move along IRL...

People really care that much about something so trivial to go to lengths to insult folks? Sad...

Would be nice to just have more content and stuff everyone can do.

I hope something equal or better than 235 so fresh 60 have a new way to catch up.

yep and it gets old when healers do it, implying they out dps people and never help heal!
