That be cool if it was a real ferry like in XI and just not a cutscene.
I have my Free set to Foundation then the new areas are all low prices. Others are Limsa, Mor Dhona and Idyllshire. Other areas I rarely go to and come expansion I cant really see it being that much more expensive for me.
As I will move the free one to the main city and Idyllshire to the new hub. All other areas will just be void as normal. Until SE makes some actual decent open world content then I don't have an issue with the fees, as I have very few reason to explore. Wouldn't complain at getting extra favourites I just don't see it being a massive impact.
The thing is if you know you have obstacles that don't allow you to play long times then you should go in expecting that. Now it doesn't matter what's said because the game caters to the no time crowd anyway when it comes to almost all content, exploration and transportation included. But it's mind-boggling to me that people would not allow a game to change and evolve just because they can't experience every aspect of it in 2 seconds.
Also, 1.0 was advertised as a game for people who didn't have a lot of time. Transportation was very limited and most people didn't have issues with it once Chocobo's were finally released.
(Never play Black Desert Online lol)
I still can't get over that some people consider teleport fees expensive.
Especially when the one time password bonus exits.
If you just get a one time password and set your free teleport to the newest area, boom, cheap TPs for that whole zone.
Fun fact: Up until the last patch or so, teleporting from the Sky Pirates' airship base would cost upwards of 1k gil.
Maybe they were the new prices implemented by accident?
I never said "I want it now", I said that after earning access to the new areas, it shouldn't be overly expensive to get there. All I'm saying is that I want it somewhat reasonable. You have to factor in that at the beginning of the expansion people won't just be buying teleports, they'll be buying gear, and other items as well. It's going to get costly. You might find yourself stuck if teleports are at high prices.
Tank roulettes and you don't need to be a crafter to afford teleports.
I see your point however there's no real need to worry about it because the different activities in Eorzea reward just about enough gil to cover traveling expenses!...
A daily Expert Roulette will give you enough cash, quests reward enough gil if there's traveling involved so running out of coin is kind of hard and undoubtedly money issues is something the Dev Team must have already foreseen!... :)
...but they'll still have access to the exact same tools as before. Making gil and finding ways to mitigate the cost of aetheryte travel isn't going to suddenly become much more difficult. People can even get started now before the expansion launches and stock up on aetheryte tickets. I mean, I see you standing around and idling in Ul'dah fairly often since you're on the same realm and I recognise your name from all the threads of yours I've read. I'm sure if you feel so strongly about this issue you can take the advice given on board and head off in search of gil and aetheryte tickets to stockpile!
