Does horse taste any good?

Going to have to request no on this one, there are already 18 different horse mounts in the game, i'd like more unique mounts.

No thanks, there are far too many horses in game already, the only horse I'd actually want is a two seater one.

Its very gamey I thought. Hard to explain, sort of a hollow flavor to it.

The current horse model would look ridiculous without the poofy mane and/or barding/cover. If you take away the mane poof the ears are completely out of proportion and look ridiculous. That's a mule not a horse (not that mules are bad - it's just not a horse).
I suppose they could change the colour and make it a mule for real - that would be kind of cool.

Remember that, come 4.0 in a few months, new mounts will be released that swim & dive. Many of the existing flying mounts can dive but none can swim (as yet). I imagine some will have it retconned but I can't see them implementing something now that could only need used fully in 2.0 areas as they don't fly, dive or swim.

I would have preferred if the only mounts in the game were chocobos, but that ship has long since sailed.

Chocobos are the horse equivalent of the Final Fantasy universe, and there should be a lot more of them in this game, considering the number of different mounts we have. Currently, there are nine chocobo mounts total, but two of those are no longer available, and of the remaining ones, only three can be acquired in-game (though admittedly, that includes the game's only customizable mount).

So even though I don't think another horse would disrupt the ambiance of the game any more than many of the existing mounts do, I still think the franchise's iconic beast is a better place for the devs to be focusing their attention. Once we've got more chocobos available than we do horses, maybe then I'd be willing to support this thread's request.

Isn't there a pvp horse somewhere?

yes, but outside of Eorzea. Because Eorzea Chocobos are better

We already have normal horse mounts. Scroll through the Frontline achievements. Warsteeds per GC~

I would like a House that doesn't have armor. I'm bumping this thread.

I love people keep pointing to the frontlines horse when I specifically said those were not what I was looking for and even included pictures of what I was looking for. A normal horse. And me asking about it is greeted with such negativity. Why you guys no like horses?

I don't think it's negativity so much as it is a dissenting opinion. There already are a LOT of horse mounts, but you're asking for another because the ones we have don't quite suit your individual tastes.

Posts like yours immediately get "Likes" because it's easy to say "Yes, more options!" and not consider that dev time is finite. A better option would be a poll at the top that said "More of the same!" and "Something new!" Just being honest.

I'd like a real wolf mount.... the Ixal one is... anything but a wolf. And Fenrir is a breeding of a wolf and a behemoth. :c
