And I do like femRoes myself, I used to have an alt femRoe that was fairly high level right after HW came out... But when I transferred servers to play with irl friends, I mistakenly thought that it was $18 per character when changing servers. So I pooled both my alts resources (I had two) on my main character and deleted them. :(

If she does please beg her not to crush my skull with her thighs....

As for OP's dilemma, do know that it's highly likely in the future SE will make the hempen racial sets universal. They recently commented about it and asked for feedback on whether they should unlock the different racial sets and it has received overwhelmingly positive reactions for it. So in the future your friend will likely be able to wear the top they like while being a Roegadyn as well.

Anyway, nothing beat those brick shape body of all female races in this game... that alone ruin all the supposed "sexy" outfit in this game.

I love using fantasias to race swap but always come back to Highlander just for underboob reasons and was curious about fem Roe.
I just didn't know if they had better smut gear so I was a little put off to pop a fantasia for another race change so I asked if he knew of any good Roe glams.

(and as I explained I had my own experience with people pushing you around to change your character... sorry if I was coming off rude, I guess you are just not attached to your character then as a lot of us probably are - which is fine, ofc though!)


Roes actually dont get that much of a special glamour that is eh... that revealing - but having a look into the Show your Roe thread might give you a good idea how great FemRoes can look!
I consider them a tricky race - a lot of face options are simply a no-go and getting that just right can be a challenge! You'll also find that a lot of the more female clothes (like the belly-dancer set for example) arent looking that good on them because they're more build for some nice armor. If you are personally toying with that idea, I can honestly recommend Roes if you have a thing for strong women! I'm very pleased with my Roe even if it limits your options when it comes to glamour a little.
Since I prefer my character more properly dressed, I cant give you much advice on skimpy clothes though, sorry ;D
(still: the Hildibrandset has a certain appeal when worn by a Roe, I could imagine *cough*)

I think my best advice would be to make a Roe-alt and take a stroll to the market board and have some friends link you your favorite items, so you can try them on and see for yourself if you like it or not! :)
If only ONE piece of clothing is holding you off to go FemRoe... I'd say: Go for it! I "cant" wear my favorite coat (the PvP bard-bird one) anymore because it looked so much better on my elezen but I dont think I'll ever go back just because of this one piece of clothing.

The problem with FemRoe is that we have a very big upper body, including our bust which is the largest of all the races.
If your friend goes max boobs then keep in mind there is a lot of weird clipping that can happen.

Because we have such a big upper body it makes our lower body seem rather flat

you can fix this with skirts however and some lower body gear does make your arse a bit rounder as well.

Keep in mind, although it does appear that our lower body is smaller, it is actually much larger than the other races and this comes with problems of its own.

Because our butts and thighs are bigger than other races there is really bad clipping issues.

To make matters worse, when new gear comes out resizing of that gears mesh tends to be a bit sloppy and inconsistent and they make the gear much much larger on us than normal. And with Mesh inconsistencies come Model Deformities, which is also seen on us especially around our inner thighs.
It makes coming up with glamour very frustrating when only a few pieces of gear looks nice and are shaped normally on our bodies.

The biggest offenders of this issue are boots, they are almost always comicly large on our feet compared to other races.

FemRoe is a beautiful and amazing race to play and I would never swap to any other, but sadly it comes with a huge graphical price. If your Friend wants to try it out she should come with a warning, we are extremely unloved by the devteam and a lot of the FFXIV community who prefer to play races like Miqo'te and Hyur.

That's subjective, really. I never cared much for "cute." It seems like that's what a lot of players aim for. Some prefer "beauty," which could be found in Roes, Highlanders and Elezen. I'd say the same about Midlander face 4, but players are overwhelmingly choosing 5 to notice it.

IMHO, FemRoes are one of the least attractive races currently in game, ranking just above Ixali and far below Kobolds and Elezen. But just my opinion of course. :P

They like their race, so let them play what they want, yeh? I mean, if you want a femroe, you could make your own.

I did check out the Roe post but a lot of the older posts didn't have pictures (mostly errors) and a lot of the newer ones seemed to be mostly men but I do like they way they look. The only problem I've had is the skin tone I've picked is either too dark or too light and I can't find a happy medium. It literally looks like I'm playing as a ghost. :(

Logically Fem Roe Glam is very accurate. One of My Boobs is the size of a LaLa's head and they have big arse heads. Can't imagine running around with no support and my under boob hanging out. I'd be taking damage over time from a Bad Back.

Midlander run can be avoided by only running with your weapon drawn.
Effectiveness in preventing 'stupid lookingness' varies depending on job though, PLD looks pretty determined and badass, SMN will still look kind of stupid..

This thread is making me miss my old Femroe model. ;_;

But I like my Au Ra, too.

Still, I definitely am on board with the notion that Femroe are gorgeous. Plus, they look as though they actually might be capable of swinging those oversized axes and swords around, unlike the more cutesy races. :P

Good luck trying to find this person since the last post was in 2017, but based off her forum picture and yours, it appears as though you have the same skin type. The pictures may seem a bit brighter in /gpose mode. The pictures you see in both this thread and the "Show your Roe" thread, have the same skin color as you do currently.....possibly

She has 1,000 posts and just posted a couple of hours ago. I'd wait for her response because there are different problems with images (monitor settings, graphic driver colour settings, ingame lighting,...) wich can result in mismatched colours.

This is a highly underrated post and after the 2B butt fiascco (calling it that because it even got mention in a Live Letter), it's a shame this continues to be a thing. I see a glam on a fem au ra, try it on, and it looks nothing alike. There's so much poorly added bulk I almost never glam anything outside of the hempen set with very few exceptions. Ishgardian grease monkey clothes I forget the name of being a good example of something that actually fits and I wish I could do without the tool pouch.

It's the lightest grey option for Sea Wolves, bottom left. It's very pale but the tone is not as green as on the other rows.

My forum character is a Hellsguard alt so it may look a bit different.
