i235 isn't that bad to begin with. The two new Ex dungeons require only i230 to enter. It should be fine as long as they don't try Alex Savage.

well i just had a monk with the pvp fending accessories so.....yeah.
Nothing as long as you make sure your accuracy is compliant and you're not awfully below the ilvl requirements :P
People who put a blanket ban on it are just being silly - ignore that, but they're definitely right IF you're missing non-stop.. that's really bad.
I have the 235 chest of pressing darkness equipped on my DRK and I ran expert just fine. The gear doesn't make the player, yes it helps, but there are things outside of gear that determines whether or not you'll be successful. I knew I was undergeared and this basically was a fun run for a fc member to finish capping off, so I knew taking bigger pulls would have likely resulted in aggro loss, damage was going to be a bit higher, but that's what buffs are for. We made it through the dungeon, no loss of aggro or deaths.
Honestly the real issue is likely accuracy, I been experimenting with my BRD and have 970 skill speed and 920 critical hit, this is of the top of my head, my acc is 540. I lose a good 120 points by switching my chest pieces around (not switching to a pvp chest here either), at 540 I miss on the SSS for Zur and Savage in moderate amounts, expert seems fine. So I think if stats were weighed different which I think they are doing in 4.0, topped with the fact PvP gear doesn't have acc, is the reason for the stigma they get. Very similar to why the new dungeon gear is typically looked down on as well.
Don't be like the summoner I was with the other day and use an ilvl 55 weapon in an ilvl 200+ dungeon. Use all the PvP gear.
Get the gear the way that is fun for you. Accuracy only matters in Ex and savage. AND the difference between meeting the cap or not is an occasional miss (not optimal, but not a killer outside of Ex and savage).
If somebody is using PvP gear of iLvl appropriate for the dungeon (by SE's standards), then they shouldn't be subject to harsh remarks. After all, they are running content that will allow them to get better equipment down the road, just like everybody else. On the other hand, if you are a PvPer, then you should already have a thickened-skin about harsh feedback. Take note of the useful comments, let the rest roll off.
I don't go to Alex. It is a silly place.
Unfortunately, this speaks of the larger issue of PvP gear always being lower than current gear levels. Before we got this i235 Garo gear, the highest we had was i205. . . that's like 3.2 levels of gear or less.
Given that there are people that actively participate in it and even fund their tome gearing though PvP, it'd be nice if gear were a little more relevant per tier. Not asking for i270/275 stuff from PvP, but if I had i250/maybe 255 options available, that doesn't hurt the alliance raid gear, tome gear, or savage raid gear at all, and still gives me one more option.
