I'm just happy the events always have different rewards each year. WoW is the same thing, same rewards and same instanced fight for a .5% drop rate mount every year and none of the gear can be transmogged (glamoured).

I think I'm the only one who is excited about the same /blowkiss emote with an added particle effect. I absolutely LOVE my /blowkiss emote. I use it all the time. Now that I get to have neat little effect to it, I'm happy as a pig in slop!
If it meant they would add in new elements, I wouldn't mind if they used assets from the previous years. Every year they are working on a completely new story every time though, wish they would reassess their use of time sometimes. Writing new story for every little event is a lot of work that could be put into making a mount or a minion.
That would be these
Sadly, can't get them anymore, closest to these are the AF MCH goggles but yeah...MCH only.
Noizi Ito guest art!
Not only is she an amazing artist and character designer, she seems to be a fan of the game too. Hopefully she won't mind me reposting tiny sample images here...

... I just wanna point out that Lisette de Valentione has always been the central NPC for Valentione's Day. Just like that one female Miqo'te has always been the NPC for Hatching Tide (I'm ashamed to admit I don't recall her name). Some NPCs were made for a specific event and are not likely to change for a bit.
I'm pretty well certain that your revisionist history if off the mark. This event, and it's lore have revolved around this Elezen lady for some time, it's essentially untrue to suggest that her presence as the face of the event was somehow a response to comments or complaints from a small number of players about the use of miqo'te females in other events.
The Eorzean Fact Checker awards you 3 Pinocchios for your misleading assertion and revision of the event lore/history.
Shame it seems to be reusing the /blowkiss emote, I'm not a fan of the Femroe version. The minion and furnishing are cute at least though! :)
I have to say, was a little disappointed when people pointed out it was just /blowkiss with hearts. (I hate the goofy femroe /blowkiss)
:O but it has a unique expression that I love...
Just wish I could make that face without the silly pose. Such a pretty pretty pretty expression!!
SE plz, you're hurting me. XD
no cute outfit this year )=
Used /dote on Tataru but she didn't respond :'(
Indeed, that outfit (and their pose in the image) reminds me very much of typical Idol gear, and to be perfectly frank, I have zero problem with that. In fact, you could say I have a problem with it taking so long to get cute outfits in the game in decent numbers... :)
My inner Kosmos is making me type these things, but to be fair, I am not resisting.
Take it as you will. It was humor, not specifically mocking. It's pretty hard to mock something when it had already been pointed out by others that there was a mistake in the OP. On the other hand, a spoof along the lines of those stupid fact-checking articles in various news papers that have become popular in recent years seemed like a much more lighthearted way to approach things.
Which dance? The one where I spent my lunchtime counting the use of the different races and genders in seasonal event artwork and promotional images from the Lodestone and then came back and posted concrete evidence that Roegadyn and Female Rogadyn in particular are not well represented in such events? I mean seriously, the fact that I play a Miqo'te female doesn't mean I exist as an affront to you or any other Roegadyn players. I don't control what SE chooses to use for their event art any more than you do.
Although, I did also point out that the appearance of the different races and genders in event art/images is broadly (not exact) in line with player character demographics, perhaps that is what irks you so? However, pointing out that statistical relationship, doesn't mean that I think that SE should favor one race or another, nor that I'm against including all the races, genders and tribes of Player characters in the various promotional materials. In fact I very much believe that everyone should be involved, there is a lot of room to explore the lore of the races, and for that matter of the city states, which could be told through their people and cultures. My wishes though, are hardly binding on SE.
Of course, I like Miqo'te, I like my character, I think she is pretty. So I quite like the game art that features Miqo'te. I also like the game art that features female Elezen, Au Ra, Hyur, Rogadyn and Lalafell characters - maybe I just like female characters? One of my favorite charactes in the game is Nanamo. I really like Moenbryda, although I have to say that Merlwyb gets on my nerves, but that's due to her personality rather than her appearance.
At the end of the day though, it doesn't matter what I think or say, you already made your mind up about who and what I am and what I think about the matter. I think you're wrong, but other than what I write, I can't do anything to prove you wrong.
The quest was disappointing this year. It was too short. Last year's was awesome.
I'm just saying, for the most part, he's not wrong. Sex sells and it's clear it does in this game. No need to be defensive and denounce something that's fact, and clear as day.
But regardless, Valentine's is mostly a female/feminine event, so I'm not exactly in the right to be complaining about any type of females being used for advertising/promotion of the event, so I don't exactly go out of my way saying "Muscles and testosterone for Valentines!", but I wouldn't complain if that were the case either. :D
Who want like me the Valentine event get a little dongeon next time ? I agree , extra short this year D:
I don't think the emote is so bad and lazy as everyone's saying.
sure the /blowkiss is the same but that heart is a long range heat seeking missile
It's actually pretty fun shooting friends with hearts for some reason
Not to mention we are making out with the girls' boyfriend. It was just a little bit awkward, and neither NPC thought it was awkward to make out with someone other then your partner. Also there is no code to check if you have done Eternal Bond or not. It was a bit upsetting to have the NPC say, "I see you haven't found a special someone yet"...
