belts can not be glamoured as they have no physical appearance. the accessories are not role or gender locked. you only need 4 spots total for glamour.

3rd week and I got all 3 months and working on 5th armor set. Playing casually 3 hours a night.
Made me try out the Feast witch is nice, I must admit.
I got so much lore tome right now that I don't know what to do with it
Edit: I was keeping the equipment on my retainers hoping to desynth or trade em for seal at GC, so this will never happen?
It's nice to know this at least...this stuff is taking up a lot of space and this is just as good of a solution. At least knowing you can pitch it and get it back if you ever want it.
After seeing this, I discarded most of my Garo items. Now only keeping the ones I like the appearance or stats of. If I change my mind about wanting anything else, I'll repurchase later from the salvager.
I guess I"m really going to have to get my jobs to 60 so I can earn these achievements then....
And has been started, accessories have actual appearances.
I don't recall offhand if they have a unique appearance, but if they do then there's reason to preserve the option to gain them.
The event has been stated to last a long while already, and even through the release of Stormblood. You have enough time to get to 60 on the desired job(s)...
Even though the event will last for six months the inventory problem persists, SE must allow us to store all GARO gear in the Armoury Chest because there is superior gear already in the game and I can't, as must others too, carry all of that inferior gear around without being able to store it!...
So, put simply, SE must allow the GARO gear to be stored in the Armoury Chest soon, like a month after the event began, it's unique gear after all and there are some cool glamours amongst the sets, pretty much anything besides the hideous armors!...
Well, it was already stated that being able to repurchase from the Calamity Salvager is being implemented, which somewhat alleviates the inventory issue. I was only responding to the people complaining about having to be Lv60 as the Calamity Salvager will not reward the achievement if you don't have that job at 60 of which you must wear the gear of to get the achievement in the first place.
What in the world do those two sentences have anything to do with each other?
You gave details and then called it a "reason." There's no reasoning there, just facts we already knew.
It's a long-term event. They aren't able to be put into the armoire. There is no relation there, making them able to be stored does not break any rules.
You absolutely cannot feed us this much extra inventory consumption without proper storage -- we have enough inventory issues and Stormblood will probably not change it that much. The armoire exists for a reason.
Obviously not ideal but I still want to state my gratitude for this solution! It confirms that the event isn't permanent so I should continue levelling my melee DPS up to avoid missing out on those titles, but knowing I don't need to keep every single piece of the similar-looking legwear and gloves is really helpful!
I don't know what the plans are for Feast and Heavensward related PVP for the future, but it would be a little unfortunate to be unable to attain best in slot gear such as the crit/det strength bracelet and necklace again. Since the Makai gear would act as i270 gear in PVP I imagine it will be useful even in level 70 sync'd PVP
If level 60 Feast seasons continue into the expansion, this would mean that older players who were around for the event would have a gear advantage over anyone who were not around during the event. The advantage is very marginal, of course, but the principle of objective, systemic imbalance still the same.
There is an issue of Diadem gear being a massive gear advantage to those who farmed it, but I think that's only enabled in Frontlines. I think SE has done a pretty good job of keeping ranked feast more or less balanced and numerically fair, I hope this continues in the future and they consider details like certain best in slot gear becoming inaccessible.
Hey SE,
If we had a proper glamour wardrobe/book function, like many MMO's have implemented, this would have been a non-issue out of the gate. You wouldn't even need an armoire.
Just sayin
I'm missing the point of why you all aren't liking this..so enlighten me, because as it stands once you have the sets you can ditch them if you don't like them and keep the ones you like thus avoiding it taking up a huge amount of space and you could literally get them back whenever..
Gonna go ahead and quote a post I'll leave nameless from another forum:
Considering how little use the armoire gets I gotta agree, this is really backwards.Quote:
Comments like this are what keep me from resubbing since they remind me how (expletives deleted) backwards this game is sometimes.
I don't really care for this solution because it shows that the developers don't have a lot of intentions towards maximizing the potential of the armoire system. Armoire in general would be a great solution to glamour hoarding woes, and yet the devs seem content on saving that system for esoteric event gear rather than making it flexible enough to include ALL of our gearing options, instead opting for bizarre "side solutions" like making us repurchase items we have already obtained once through the Salvager.
In addition, we now have a hodgepodge of items with varying methods of re-acquisition, rather than something consistent. I'll sure love Googling whether or not my event gear is somewhere buried in my Armoire or if I'll have to port to Grid to buy it back!
Lol Mog Slips on the PS2 apparently had more memory to work with than the armoire. (On top of pre-existing armor storage NPCs who had more space than the armoire.)
I'm more upset that I can't turn them in for GC seals :<
Discard then?
Why do we
1) need to keep repurchasing and DISCARDING (not even turn in for GC seals) for all the hard work we put into getting these items?
2) have to purchase using our own hard earning gil to regain access to our hard earned glamour items. why not make armoire available?
3) not make belt/accessories available regardless of they are part of achievement or not? some may want them for glamour but can't keep that many items with the VERY LIMITED inventory space available.
Also, please consider using glamour book or something - giving us access to owned items rather than taking inventory space. This also applies to 100 million tokens items SE made for various quest/relic/gear tokens. As you are hearing, inventory is very limited considering many people has multiple if not all classes leveled that requires lots of inventory space. Gathering/Crafting alone takes so much inventory as is - I can't even save glamour items even if I want to. thank you :)
... Can we just get a glamour book already? lol. If they're worried about ten million glamour variables just make them into sets or even dungeon sets*, a bit like FFXI - you don't even need them stored, just go smash them into a glamour pane and have Cid store it in his library or whatever.
If they really want players to be able to get the old item after turning it into a glamour slide then add some sort of reconstruction fee ("calamity salvager"). At least imo it feels really unnecessary to have these two systems separate, they'd be better joined. Some of my stuff goes here, some of my stuff goes there, this other stuff goes no where until I wait for two updates, and this stuff I don't know about... XD
Of course anything reconstructed has to be untradable/marketable, perhaps depending on price to reconstruct also not allow desynth/materia able - can achieve the first part easily without a new variable by just adding 1% spirit bind. Thoughts on locking materia/dysnth because if it's cheap to reconstruct you might be able to circumvent a lot of market stuff now, people would just reconstruct their materia binding gear, and stuff like that. It would be nice to be cheap, so might be best to lock it. The whole reconstruction thing is not really needed I imagine if glamour choices were cleared out of your inventory (you'd only keep stuff you want to use again vs "keep all things").
*I mean like say there is 20 items from dungeon boco, you need to turn in 20 items to unlock that set. And I think specifically to make the system less annoying for both SE and players it should be like you change a gear piece into a default shard of X (boco). So you could get 10 helmets and 10 chest pieces of any job from boco palace and you unlock the entire glamour catalog of boco dungeon. If they are worried about you going around rare items and using common ones, just add like "turn in 15 bright shards, and 5 blinding shards" (different tier to represent rarity, keep it simple though). One Boolean variable for an entire dungeon set worth of gear.. that shouldn't give SE data issues xD.
Preferably it would be individually though, so I could have a sort of item book - would make collecting everything a bit more specific and fun, but if data is the problem and of course with an MMO we'll have ever growing numbers of "yes/no" obtained questions.. Perhaps sets, or larger sets like dungeons, can help relieve that. I guess the next concern they'd have is less people paying for another retainer though ... lol..
At least they'll be reobtainable. :p
As far as I know there's no storage for unique equipment like the HW fur coat and fortempts shield. Which is a pain. Nor for the ARR garland gear.
You can rebuy them from the Calamity Salvager for a nominal amount of gil. I happily discarded everything once I learned this.
Please don't ask for a Mog Slip system. More storage options or not, it was an OBNOXIOUS way to store gear. The slips themselves took up inventory space, and it could be a nightmare trying to remember which slip had the piece of gear you needed.
The Armoire is a great system for storing gear that, if you were to discard it, would be irreplaceable. It certainly has room for improvement (Maid and Butler outfits, please!!!), but it does what it was designed to do.
Bumping this up as the Garo event is ending. People have already pointed out that you will not be able to re-buy any of the accessories since the achievement is not attached to them. Also if you cannot equip the gear (as in not being high enough level) then you cannot get the achievement and cannot get replacements for the gear once the event ends. For people coming in on the end of the event this would be pretty terrible.
Please reconsider adding all the Garo gear to the armoire.
