Only way into Sharlayan currently is by traveling using a Boat but as the story goes on with Sharlayan it seems like something bad may happen to it that may wipe it out from the face of the planet considering what happened in 2.X when a good part of Sharlayan was basicalled "Nuked" due to something they did. Though I would not be surprised if they combine both Sharlayan and Garlean Empire considering how small the Garlean Empire map is on the current Map. Maybe set up a good chunck of the Capital of the Garlean Empire as the Final Dungeon for 5.0 with the final Dungeon being the Main Castle where the Emperor is while setting up Sharlayan as the Main battle ground for the War in 5.0 and then as the story progress we see the Garleans Being push back into the Garlean Empire thus begins the final part of 5.0 being a invasion into the Garlean's Capital City.

it would give 5.X a good setup to explore what becomes of the Garlean Empire and Sharlayan since both sides took the majority of the damage from the War along with tension between two City States and the consequence of winning and losing a war.

I'm hoping for either BLU or SAM, really. Win-win scenario. But the other theory out there about how it relates to his powers being obtained from a spider (aka mob) seems a little more plausible to me that BLU could actually be coming.

Will be nice when the Frankfurt Fan Festival happens and all these rumors are put to rest when they make the official announcement of what the next job will be.

What if the dev team are going to mesh Samurai and Blue Mage together? Tachi: 1000 needles anyone? Would make for a unique twist on both jobs at the same time.

The logic works, what doesn't work is the discussion that Yoshi P had at (one of?) the fan fests questioning how BLU would be implemented, saying that it didn't really fit the gameplay. Red herring perhaps, but I agree with him in that it is the only job that I cannot make gameplay predicitions on that are not stupid (hell I have two for SAM depending on whether it is tank or dps)

Doesn't even have to be a red herring. This is something he said ages ago, and he may have since thought of a solution, or simply changed his mind about it. Folks change their minds all the time, and Yoshi P in particular has a few rather infamous flip flops under his belt already. ("Player housing will be separate from FC housing and much more affordable," anyone?)

Don't forget he once said RDM wouldn't be added because it wouldn't fit into the game with the existing Role System, that it'd break the spirit of the class.

Because that would be a significant waste of 2 iconic Final fantasy jobs that on their own can make for strong marketing pull as separate jobs rather than some wonky amalgamation. They have always been focused on delivery of Final fantasy nostalgia, and mashing two iconic jobs together (for absolutely no logical reason) is a terrible idea.

Except he literally said pretty much the exact same thing about Blue Mage during the second day of the JP fanfest last month, during his Naoki's Room segment. So if they are implementing it next, it's either going to be as he described it as a terrible idea of a non-group content monster ability collecting mini game essentially, or he just straight up lied on stage 2 months before it's reveal.

This isn't a hint towards a job at all, merely the folder for his work on the Square Enix game Samurai Rising, of which he did all the music for.
