The gear reminds me of goblins. :) Think it looks cool!

This might be some of the most fantastic looking gearsets i've seen in quite a while. Way too much gear looks clean and shiny, finally some gritty, dark and dirty equipment. Especially loving the ones the femroe, male hyur and manqo'te are wearing.

Kudos SE, keep this quality up.

The vintage military look is a different approach. I'm not sure if it fits FF XIV's niche, people who are into the tactical shooter thing are probably playing other MMOs like The Division. It's kind of an odd look for a high fantasy RPG. But thumbs up for trying something new at least. I do like the gas masks.

Some of that gear makes me want to play a modern military shooter for some reason. Wish I liked MCH, would have an interesting time with glamour.

His opinion is subjective, just because he thinks the gear is ugly as hell, doesn't mean he don't appreciate art. In my opinion I would run around in chocobo headpiece which in all honesty defeats these rather recycled designs.

Wonder if the different colored carbuncles are going to be exclusive to each type of pet. If that's the case, we're only really getting one glamour. Lmao. Emerald is as good as Ruby to me, though.

The new gear kinda remains me to Metro, I'm all for it. Also gas masks are lovely <3

Getting a very Fallout vibe from that gear. I like it! That coat on the right though.. really...stands out.. and not in a good way. Maybe it's dyable.

I like the idea of the gear but the 3rd one (Miquote in red beret) makes me think either Ocelot from MGS3 or Krauser from RE4. As for the egi glamour, it makes me think this is another Gauss Barrel fix in because its a /egimirage command. So makes me wonder, will WE see a carbuncle but everyone else sees Garuda/Ifrit/Titan?

The gear looks pretty great - definitely has a 'Garlean' vibe to me. I don't like the gas-mask-with-a-hat set but everything else is brilliant.

I like the gear, though the one thing I don't like is the gas mask on the one with the yellow coat. Just looks weird. But then that's what "hide headgear" is for. :) I'd love to see some steampunk stuff or gear that takes inspiration from Scottish highland clothing. Been watching Outlander so...... Yeah. :D

Would rock the red beret outfit if it's brd/mch (who am i kidding, it's probably a dirty ninja).
I do very much like how the "color swaps" only share the base model for the chest and have elements to differentiate them (waist jacket for the roe, skirting for the au ra, trim and belts for the coats etc.) Only pieces that look similar at a glance are the caster/healer(?) and mnk/drg(?) gloves
Aside from the gas masks and such it does look like sky pirate gear v.2 though, probably the same designer? The yellow outfit hurts to look at but I like the rest of the outfits seem quite nice. Would bet on gas mask being visorable too.

Also I love this hoodie on the left, though I wish the friggen bald caps can be removed. Alot of it looks like homage to MGS like Mr. Happy said, and I'm cool with it. Eorzea doesn't really have a set style and I'm all for bags and sathels on my gear, gives that adventurer feel.

The gear looks hideous.

But, I'm soooooo excited to have the adorable carbuncles back! I just love them.

Those gears are pretty cool, and for once it looks like it was thought for guys and not girl/gender neutral. (tank lore stuff was clearly not thought for you guys D: )
