New Korean exclusive outfits

Tbh looks GREAT in concept art but the ingame models look heavy and dull, I'm sure they'd look better than they do there but maybe with the whole new upgrade XIV is getting with 4.0 it will look good and they can do more with clothing/armour.

I don't think you can count those as NA/EU exclusive. Since they were originally available in Japan as part of a 7/11 promotion, and then brought over to NA, and finally EU. But they weren't developed solely for NA/EU players like the Korean and Chinese outfits are for their respective player base.

I wished we could just get the glamour restriction off (as long as you have the jobs on that level you can glam it on any job) but I am afraid we might have to pay for it too.

And I wont lie, I would buy a few of those sets probably because it was a long wish for me to glam and mix those sets with my main DoW job. It just feels stupid to pay for something which is already ingame.
I wonder if they will sell the pvp Animal Sets without restiriction too?

But why? Pvp is already ingame, what sucks is the queue speed, but solo feast tends to be fastest, particularly if you're a healer. (If you do go in as a healer know that you need to practically be in melee range of teammates to not lose line of sight and therefore actually be able to heal.)

What do you mean?
You cant glamour pvp DoW/DoM or the af DoM/DoW on any job either.
Same as with the outfits I posted, they are restricted to the jobs they are made for but the glamour you can buy unlocks them for any job.

They are exclusive to our version of FF XIV, which the japanese are part of it.

It is in the cash shop of the chinese version and the korean version. It will be in our cash shop if we get it.

Good for them I am happy they get some outfits. Just like at times we get exclusive ones;]

This is seriously f2p game-levels of BS. The armor is already in the game, and we're going to let them sell it to us for extra money instead of demanding they adjust their in-game system so that these items can be used more broadly??

We have to wait really long for glamours like the male version of the bunny set and the Edda costume and yet here they get another exclusive outfit..

And its kinda funny how beautiful everything always looks in the concept art and how bad it often looks ingame.

I really like it, it's a lot prettier than the previous set IMO. I'd love the female version for my Au Ra, it actually looks like it would suit her (and lord knows finding nice glamour with a matching head-piece that doesn't look ridiculous is a challenge for those of us with large horns.)

I hope we see this in-game someday!

They are not and have never been exclusive, it was a staggered release, they said even before Japan got it that all regions would get them, but it would take time due to needing negotiations with 3rd parties. Right now even China and Korea have them and not because people begged for them, it was because it was part of the staggered release plan.

They were never designed/created for the sole purpose of being released in one exclusive region or country, though. Therefore, not region exclusive. Regardless if JP/NA/EU players all play the same client, they aren't just exclusive to one country, or region. So, they aren't the same as these outfits that are initially designed with the intent of only being sold to the Chinese player base, or the Korean player base.

They would be exclusive if, say, they were designed just for those players that played in Japan/held a Japanese account. Because, if a code is intended for just a specific region's server account, you can't use it if your account isn't from that region. But they weren't designed that way. They were RELEASED that way (i.e., if you tried to register the maid outfit purchased during the NA Amazon promo, it only worked if you held an NA service account), but weren't designed exclusively for just one region, just the release was staggered.

Please, I can get these with the hairstyles on almost any f2p Korean mmo in multiple styles. I don't see a reason to give it hype.

Let me know when another country gets FF specific outfits like Yuffie's AC outfit or Squall's academy uniform. Then I'll be mad.

I think you're looking for a fight where there isn't one.

If something on these forums is worth arguing over, argue away. But don't look for fights where they don't exist :3

Those actually look very nice

These outfits are really nice, the female's set includes really nice boots (similar to the bard's af3 ones) and an adorable pleated skirt with ribbons on the hips. It's been MONTHS and I don't want to give up hope that this will come to the store.

I am also waiting for these outfits. It makes me feel so disappointed and that no one takes us into account, the fact that China is getting the Korean outfits (and Korea receives the Chinese outfits) and we receive absolutely nothing of this.

I would really love to get all of the region exclusive outfits in the mog station. They were a smashing success when they put them in last time, I really hope they put them in the mog station soon!

i'm sure this has been said within the 6 pages of this thread, but are none of y'all taking into account the amount of stuff that we have that china/korea does not get at all, like the entirety of the gold saucer ? we're lucky they gave us the qipao and hanboks in the first place. let the other servers have some server exclusive stuff for once without whining, yeah ?

The in game armors are ok I guess.. tbh though doesn't the female one just look like a recolor of the bardum dungeon's striking coat? But we know most armors are just rehashes of assets anyway. It's just kind of depressing when you look at something and can be like: "Ok, that shoulder armor piece is from that 24man raid, and the sleeves are from that one dungeon oh and the front, the ruffles are from that other glamour..!" I mean there are some ones that are totally different but some are obviously slight tweaks with some new pattern/texture added and then BOOM, cash shop gloriousness/exclusivity!

The armors that have new objects added that we've never see are kind of rare... Usually those are the relic armors that we get once an expansion or some kind of special raid armor for the final set of bosses.

Simply requesting something isn't "whining". A quick Google search shows that China and Korea do in fact have the Gold Saucer. Regardless, it's not- nor was it ever intended to be- a trade off. Imo it has more to do with the fact that Chinese/Korean MMOs have a heavy emphasis on micro-transactions for cosmetic items.

Proof that this is wrong. While I respect and understand they are limited by their governments, what you said was incorrect. That being said, they are getting these from exclusive events. I am more than willing to shell out real life money to support the people who created them for these servers who have had them exclusive for 7+ months.

We all know there gauging demand to determine which to add next. They are also trying to set the price, they need enough to cover the mogststion and dev costs but also have enough to pay the Korean or Chinese partners for their assets. With that said, I'd tolerate $20.00 for each set. Most of that outfit does nothing for me but that skirt and hair ribbons... my weak spot...

I have to agree, that these have a lot of items to the set, making it very worth while in terms of mixing and matching as well as being able to be used on cross class glamours. They are well made and unique, something I'm happy to financially support.

Still doesn't make it okay. I think everyone should have the same access to cosmetic items.

Just wish we could have them AND the events instead of adding them to kupo $shop.
Giving us more event would make the game a little more interesting and living :/

im really sad, what se is doing these days with their game, ff isnt a free2play generic mmo but every event, every skin or hairstyle in the last time is lazy and something you see before (skns and hair for example).
at the beginning i really loved this game and yoshi, how much he belived in his game but nowdays it seems like he only want as much money as he can get from the players.
sure everyone wats money for work but this isnt the same game as ARR.

I wish they had 5 million active subscriptions, sadly is more like 500,000. So while selling the boxed software and subscriptions will keep the lights on, the mogststion helps pay for the nice things. We get plenty of free glams, the paid glams helps cover the costs of the feee stuff.
