Want au ra tshirt for my miqote
Alrighty, a few things I can quickly think of:
Dynamic bossfights instead of dances and patterns to be memorized.
Nerfed healing & possibly tank dmg mitigation to make speed runs and absurdly large pulls happen less. Preferably to such level that if a patrolling mob wanders in during a pull, crowd control (eg. sleep) or OHCRAP abilities would be necessary.
Absolutely no rewards/drops for unsynced stuff. It's so sad to see people with savage coil titles etc when they just unsynced the content. Very little effort deserves very little reward. Maybe even so that the unsync option won't be available before clearing the content properly first? I'd rather see the whole unsync option go away but I know that definitely won't happen.
Bind on pickup craftable stuff. I really don't understand why people can just skip the whole crafting/gathering end game with gil. IMHO in the crafting game, you should craft your superduper items yourself. Raiders can't buy their savage gear from the market, can they?
I would love race specific idle weapon drawn stances, battle stances, and vposes, but I'm aware of how much work that would be. So, if that's out of the question, can we at least get rid of gender specific poses? You're telling me that the women are strong enough to wield these weapons, but instead of holding them like this:
http://cetraconnection.net/wp-conten...ark-Knight.jpg
...we have to hold them like this?
https://nomadicgamer.files.wordpress...015_015359.jpg
Why? What's the point? Some of us are aiming for a very specific look and feel to our characters and some of these poses clash very hard with what we have in mind. For example, in my opinion, a lot of the poses for women (I would argue almost all of them tbh...) are designed to be cute, but I'm not trying to make a cute character. Just give us a choice. That's all I'm asking.
Also, I know I said new animations would be a lot of work, but can you please change the femroe running animation? It has always looked incredibly awkward.
More character customization options, specifically, more hair choices. Ideally, I would want this from the hair design contest that went on a while back:
http://www.finalfantasyxiv.com/haird...015/F_02_s.jpg
but I'll take anything at this point.
Why don't we have an achievement tracker? We have a quest tracker. Give me an achievement tracker. :(
More housing items, and outdoor furnishings, give me a damn swimming pool in my back yard lol and a slide ha.
more hairstyles, a more defined colour palette for skin change and hair colour change eye colour etc.
better customisation allow us to change certain parts of our face and body dont just give us 4 face options give us 10 lol :)
Sea Battles
Lets see: Lets do away with the prism system and the quest so we can start glaming from level 1 to 60, more glam items, and weapon dyable items. Let us start doing dungeons with our squadrons, because lets be honest hw will be inconvenient for newer players trying to do certain things if they want a real sync experience , instead of face rolling the content if anyone wants a challenge. Music sample previews would be nice, pet sample previews, as well as furniture previews, the disappointment is real when you buy a song thik its gona be cool and u find out it sucks. Story wise Id like for them to explain better on how our character can play ever class on one and allow it to make sense , ha because I refuse to play some classes on my main because it doesn't really fit to me. Another companion other than your chocbo ha that would be awesome to fight with something else even tho I love mine. Barding for other popular mounts just even a few items would be nice.
Please. Just let me trade in 99 fiend totems for a warring lanner. Pls. Pls. Pls. Pls. I have over 160 Sephirot clears and it's impossible to farm for this now. No one goes for more than five clears anymore. I'm so bitter about this.
I do a lot of EX's from PF for WT but I never see people running Coils for it, even unsynced. I've been trying to coerce my friends into running it unsynced with me so I can experience it. But I mean for current content as well as older content. I would like to see a version of Alexander that can be done by any party size and the intention is just to let you experience the story. FF is better about not locking lore behind group or raid only content that many other MMOs, but they still have little things like this. There is enough reward in the challenge and the gear obtained so losing exclusive access to the lore wouldn't make running the other versions unpopular.
Some cool ideas, I'll make some additions here if I may...
Level and ilevel sync are big disappointments for me in this game, they are ideal instruments to maintain content relevance, by reducing over-gearing.So definitely make better use of it across the board to level the playing field. Also, I'd go one better. I'd like to see a second mode to all the older dungeons, an actual high difficulty version (the name 'hard mode' is already taken), in addition to the alternate map revisions we already have. The 'twist' would be to scale the monsters and bosses in the dungeon up, in the same way that level sync scales us down, removing the leash on mobs, oh, and adding respawning roaming monsters. That way you can do an unsync'd run, a properly level sync'd run or a high difficulty run where you keep your levels and gear, but the mobs are sync'd up to your level as described. The intention is not to replace new content, but add a wrinkle to older content. I ahree with the rewards ideas you proposed.
Helps players level, fun duo PvP, end game rewards
Indeed. Someone please tell me why there are no gladiatorial games in Uld'ah? They are referenced many times, but we get nothing. This was crying out for use as a battle arena. Since we already have PVP duals and such, I'd like to see the Gladiatorial arena in Uld'ah ised as a PvE battle arena - with spectators as well.
Materia slots, and/or a "upgrade" tree.
This may be coming in some form via Eureka, based on Yoshi comments in interviews given after FanFest in LA.
The story fights such as "This little sword of mine" Paladin quest fight could easily be reused.
This is a cool idea, but in a sense this points towards another concept which is the Guildhests. They are little more than an afterthought. I'd like to see them expanded considerably with open world missions to suppress beast tribes, specific rampaging monsters, basically more of the open world 'short dungeons' similar to some of the ones we already have, but more of them and higher level ones at that. Oh, apply strict level sync for these as well, and implement the high difficulty mode like for older dungeons.
There should be multiple ways to obtaining 20 item levels below cap gear, and it shouldnt be locked. Thats just me though.
Indeed.
Reason it is the way it is now is because "easy travel." The game is more than easy enough
I agree with this, but can I make a small plea? I feel this needs to be carefully handled to prevent the game becoming accessible for lower level players on lower level MSQs, class/job quests, leve quests, or just gathering.
Completely agreed. Please create a second gear combination within each gear set we create. One combination for the actual gear, and the other for glamour. Store this data server side to prevent abuse. Use prisms to set a piece in each slot, if you change the actual gear piece the corresponding glamour slot clears and must be reset.
Grrr I should never have deleted that other post to consolidate, now I am out of posts...
Doesn't need to happen, would make the game just another twitch action combat game.
Indeed, can we also throw in removing the invisible walls and allowing flight in the ARR maps, along with swimming and boating? Triple the budget should mean something... :)
They sort of can by glamouring with the Emperors new items, but I suspect you want a character option to turn accessories all on or off at once. Agreed.
Of course! My sun-kitty wants round eyes and fangs, and...curves.
OK, it just seems a shame to have this in the stated lore in game and then ignore it, it makes little sense to me from that point of view, but I see the practicality of it.
It's almost definitely because SE does not want Ul'dah to return to the bad old days of 1.0 as the extremely laggy central meeting place (read: player idling location) for the game - having such content accessed only from there would only lead to even more players idling around the GLA's Guild and the resulting lag and server problems that brings. This is why the PvP battle arena (Wolves' Den) was created as an entirely new location completely separate from the rest of Eorzea.
Don't get me wrong though, I would love to once again fight in the Colosseum, 1.0's GLA class quests actually had you indeed fighting there (albeit instanced), so I was disappointed ARR's GLA class quests did not do that, but I'm also realistic to understand why this probably will not happen I'm sorry.
Please, let us take our Chocobos with us into all floors of PotD, and dungeons.
I have a great idea. Use the ideas the trained and enthusiastic developers come up with and ignore the ideas the idle-fingered forum posters in games like to come up with...so they seem, uh...SMART.
Yeah. That's the ticket.
You "seem smart" right now.
I know one idle-fingered forum poster they should ignore.
I'd like to see new pots, that are more interesting than mainstat +%
and gear with more interesting abilities. even if it's just a small percentage of something happening, ie it couldn't be relied upon, and wouldn't be something you need to proc during a fight, but if it did it would be fun. Maybe a piece of gear could give me the ability that every time I cast fire IV there is a 1% chance I will gain "triple" status buff and my next cast automatically hits three times
I want bards to regain their freedom of movement. I have far more fun when I do duty trials than any main content on my bard because of the freedom bards had.
A setting similar to FF7/FF8/FF15 involving modern things like cars and cellphones.
Then I am sorry to say that you are playing the wrong game - FFXIV's setting is a low-tech neo-medieval world just on the cusp of an industrial revolution and always will be. Modern things like cars and cellphones do not fit it and thus will never appear here I'm afraid.
I would like them to remove the duty timer in pre made group / raid
Why can't we try as long a we want on bosses and are forced to do trash again when re-entering ? :/
If jump potion is added then new player must go through an intermediate hall to proceed with the game.
As insignificant as it may be but perhaps a housing item to display your favorite sets of armour. Like a mannequin or something similar.
Housing Partitions that take on your wallpaper.
I would like the ability to re-arrange my linkshells. I'm sure this is a QoL thing that will be put in eventually.
1) make dungeons appear on the world map so you can explore them for the people who don't want to play this game like a Theme Park. At the same time same time still using Durty Finder for people that want to use the normal dungeons.
2) Please can summoner Be reworked as a job so it is more pet focused.
3) More things todo outside the city's.
Exactly - in fact, Cid explained back in the 2.0 story that they're actually radio devices (they use electromagnetic waves, as in, radio waves), and the clincher is the cellphone ringtone-like chirp they make in cutscenes when an npc receives a call. ;) So yes you are definitely right that linkshells are basically a cellphone in all but shape and name. :)
Make me want to bother getting nice stuff by turning progression horizontal instead of out-dating it every 3 months.
It has the added benefit of creating an end-game, which is as non-existent today as it was 3 years ago.
oh wait, i forgot, Glamor is the TRUE endgame...-_-
I'd also like to see the language of the MSQ a bit easier to understand. The story is always a big part of any FF game, but I sometimes lose the thread of whats actually going on, with everything everyone says being so hard to understand. Used to just be Urianger, now its everyone lol
Alphinaud: "We needs must blah blah"
Tataru: u wot m8
there's a small chance thisll actually happen but i have my doubts.
id love the complete and utter removal or even better, alteration of unused and ineffective skills. either retool tempered will and also allow it to work in ANY situation with knockback or give it the axe. increase the potency of freeze and make it non aimable or axe it along with blizzard 2 and aetherial manipulation. re tool Jump, Spineshatter, and Dragonfire to make them actually go OVER terrain and stuff on that terrain. the fact that i triggered mines in fractal and other instances with jumping abilities annoys me to no end. increase the effect time of miasma 2 and its potency. doesnt have to be by much but at the potency and timing it has now its only useful in braflox hard
id name other examples but those are the big ones i have issue with off the top of my head
Not a fan of the localization either. Luckily I know Japanese so I can just listen to the voiced cutscenes but reading them is a whole different story.
The infamous Midgardsomr cutscene comes to mind, I appreciate they tried to add flavor but the "Pray seeketh for succor, is aught amiss? Soothe our humours!" speak kills it.
I wish I could switch the text to Japanese.

Memes aside, Aetherial Manipulation is an important part of a Black Mage's repertoire in movement-heavy fights to squeeze out additional spells. I'd wager many other high-skill BLMs use Aetherial Manipulation a lot and would object to its removal.
I would like to see a right click report name added to combat the latest RMT tactic of making a character with their website name and then spam inviting people to parties to advertise via the name popping up in the invite.
I guess it's just a personal thing then. I've never found a.m to be effective enough nor cool looking enough to justify its use. it's an elusive jump with worse animation and less utility. in the time it takes to target a party member and click the skill I could have just stepped outside the aoe. knowing the fight and knowing where to stand, for me, nullifies any use a.m has
