Glamour Gear Request Megathread

I'd really like the Fusilier's set to be available for more classes, and dyeable.

The funny thing is, in the 50-60 NIN job quests, one of the ( rather lame ) antagonists wears it.

Given how they handled leveling gear for Heavensward expansion ( Recycled dungeon / tome gear recolors! ) I'd really like to see this set turn up in Stormblood. It has a great adventurer look to it. My only request is that you remove the clunky piece that hangs off the front. I'm all for making gear detailed...but nothing should hang off a chest piece that much.

I don't recall if the Scholastic outfits are available, but if not, can we have those, too?

Oh I have always called her 'Aeris' out of habit since FFVII first came out - even then there was plenty of artwork and merchandise around that had her name written in Romanji in various ways ('Earisu', 'Aerisu', 'Aerith'), so I just went with Square's original English spelling out of habit. Only when the Compilation was released did SE seem to finally settle on retconning her name officially in English as 'Aerith'. But I'm stubborn and continue to call her 'Aeris' as I always have (I find it a much prettier name than 'Aerith' to be honest). It's just a personal thing. ;) But I digress..

Getting back to FFXIV glamour, it's already been mentioned by others but I'll mention it again: I would love to have more high heeled shoes and boots! The Archeoskin Boots were simply the beginning - we need more shoes and boots with heels! And it should go without saying that they should be able to be dyed. ;) Please SE! :D

A DoW / All classes version of the Darklight gloves of Casting / Healing or an alternate version of it that looks like and is wearable by all classes~
Same for the High Allagan gloves of Casting (unless there's some other gloves with metal at the fingertips that I am missing and I could be using for my tank, these would be awesome )

Was there any reason they opted for Fenrir AC clothing for the 720 Veteran reward and not Cloud's Soldier 1st uniform? Thought the latter is a bit more iconic and can still be gender neutral.

The Darklight Caster Gloves were reused for the Wyvernskin Gloves of Maiming/Striking, so DRGs and MNKs can wear that same style, just to say.
Can't think of anything similar for Aiming or Tanking classes though.

They gave us the head and Halicarnassus weapon, why not the oufit?

Moving on...would love to see Kirin's Osode and the Twilight Armors from 11 pulled over, especially since we already got other gear from there. Being able to glam crafting gear onto DoW/M would also be nice (running around with the blacksmith or weaver stuff slicing enemies~ woo.)

Really, just drop all restrictions for class/gender. And please give us a book where, if a certain armor has been in your armor crate just once, it goes in the book (hell..could even have some fun with it as a side perk of spirit bonding to 100%)

Wasn't calling them out on anything, scroll down a bit more and read the spoiler tag, was actually interesting to see some people call her Aeris. I'm not gonna sperg out over it. Heck FFVII was my first game, my first video game period even. I grew up with calling her Aeris myself.

I don't mean to sound nasty here (and if so, I am really sorry!), but Yasuhiro was not calling me out on anything, but simply calmly stating a known fact about Aeris's name and wanting clarification, which I replied with and Yasuhiro accepted. I did not see any further need to add to it so I did not reply further, regarding it as completed. Again, this is not an attack on you Vaeria, so if it seems like I'm really sorry! I just couldn't let Yasuhiro be unfairly called out like that (especially over something I said).

Anyway, back to glamour end-gaming! ;)

The trouble with this is that SE has already repeatedly been asked this and constantly replied that it simply is not possible due to technical reasons. I'll go looking for some of the more recent replies on the subject and post them here. The point is, they are aware of this and know it is a much requested change, but that they are not in a position to implement it sadly.

No actually. At least, not according to this thread, where Yoshi and Lead UI designer Hiroshi Minagawa describe how item glamours actually work programming wise and also why it's not possible from a technical side to allow Job-restricted glamour on any class:

Of course Yoshi actually admitted that it there is a chance they might add it still (and that he did not specifically state a glamour log system), but was still quick to point out the complexity of it, thus it's highly likely this probably won't happen sadly.

-Barefoot.
-More casual and/or elegant clothing for male and female.
-Could already "release" the exclusive clothing of each race, for all.
-Separate each version of the Hempen Undershirt/Camise and Hempen Underpants/Pantalettes to be able to use all versions in all races.

-Valkyrie glamour (With a version for men also)
-Lightning outfit (from LR) for female.
-Caius Ballad outfit for male.
-FF Type-0 glamour.
-Cecil Harvey (Paladin), Locke Cole, Vaan (from FFT A2:GotR) and Feolthanos outfits for male.
-Rosa Joanna Farrell, Terra Branford, Penelo (from FFT A2:GotR) and Mydia outfits for females.

My wishlist:
Plain long sleeve shirt
Plain long sleeve shirt with black(white version too) accent collar/sleeve ends.
White(black version too)/dyable color Striped long & short sleeved shirts.
White(black version too)/dyable color Striped beanie.

Edea's sorceress outfit from FFVIII would be nice. We have alot of loose fitting poofy dresses but none that are more form-fitting. More/Varied heeled shoes would be nice as well.

Since we sort of get capes now sometimes, ie the Berserker gear, how about this as a tank armor.

Vastly expanded inventory in 4.0 kinda suggests that we'll either be able to keep all the pieces we need or that they will take advantage of the increased space to fix the issues you were discussing.

There are gear pieces for every piece of equipment that are invisible called "The Emperors New Bracelet (or anything else) that can be glamoured to for an invisible hidden piece.

I want some Sith looking attire in FFXIV. The closest thing we got was the Far Eastern Patriarch's Tunic which looks like something a Sith Inquisitor would wear, the design is slightly akin to Revan's outfit.

Not an outfit or something already in-game, but I'd like to throw in a request for a few dyeable, non-boot heels. Ankle straps, wedges, pumps, open toe, closed toe, anything. We've got boots covered pretty well, and a selection of sandals, but I've been using my Patrician's Gaiters for years now and a little more variety in the subtle but stylish shoes department would be really nice.

Or if nothing else, maybe a new version of the Bunny Chief Pumps without the fishnet and little bows? They're cute, but difficult to use.

Edit: The Housemaid's Pumps are almost perfect as well but only the shoe dyes, not the stocking in it.

Requesting armor that only covers one arm or one leg. Requesting that this gear also applies to all classes and not just dps.

I'd love to see some of the western fashion added in as dyeable glamour. It feels like we have a lot of eastern and fantasy stuff, but not much in the way of western stuff.

Didn't want to make a new thread but does anyone know if a similiar glamour can be done with any other class? If I have to level up Bard and Machninist for it then so be it but I've been digging this glamour I found based on the new Nier game
