Also unable to get the servers to connect properly, over in Balmung.
Why hasn't SE posted about this yet. >.> Literally been almost an hour of people having issues and being booted from Aether and Primal. Yet... nothing.
I tried to randomly collect to Chaos data center and still got 2002 error.
And then every time I have to re-sign in to the client, my PS4 tells me it's unable to complete the version check at least twice before I can successfully sign back in. I know this isn't just PS4/PS3 players affected, but, thought I would throw that little detail in here.
I am also unable to connect to Excalibur (Primal).
Yep same happened on Midgardsormr. Loading screen cuts me off with this error.I was in Churning Mist when it happened.:(
I was just standing in limsa going through the market
Dead as a doornail, hailing from Lamia. Odd that the server statuses are all still showing as 'Online'.
Update: Just successfully logged on and disconnected within 30 seconds. It is giving me the same errors again now.
Midgardsormr may be back up.Will post if I get cut off again.
update: so far so good 1:41am
I made it into the game a 2nd time, this time I was able to type in chats... but then I got dc again.
btw, no one responded to me
and to clarify, the first time I made it in, I wasn't able to switch to any chats (/fc, /l1, etc did not work). This time I was able to switch to a link chat and type some lines... but yah...
Over an hour, nothing from SE.
Still haven't managed to make it past the starting screen
I was just fighting then it froze and poof. Never been able to get past the main menu since. I'd just got to level 30 and was on my way to get Ninja too :((
Matheus server
I just recently received this same error around 4:05 AM GMT (+00). I am going to start a thread asking if their is a better way rather then relying on error codes, because I feel like Error 10105 (my case), Error 2002, then Error 9001, then Error 9002 do not really explain the situation. A lot of the "help" on these errors feels like hearsay or rumor rather than constructive help on what to do.(*)
Personally in my case its all 4 errors above in a cycle to the point, I really wish their was a way to manually ping the server, so I generate actual data or information rather then relying on FFXIV software having to guess what the problem is.
*For example, people talking about a server issue well... what should then one do in that case? Or the more often case if its an ISP side issue, what is the costumer supposed to do with that information? I means its not like one can generate an automated report to the isp like google or netflicks does when this stuff happens.
Myself and an FC member are on two different platforms. I am a Pc player and he is an PSN player, he says the entirety of the psn network is down for him but was able to log in a couple times but not do anything as if his character was frozen. I never get past the "data center" page on the PC. So either way, this is a big mess and I would REALLY like to get back to my friends or at least know what's going on. This is a bit ridiculous for S.E. for all things holy and unholy my roommate is playing World of Warcrack right now with no issues!!!! - Famfrit server!
Getting the same issues. since 1am. I got d/c with a 90006 then when at the title screen and trying to connect to the Data Center I got a error 2002
Aether - Balmung
I keep getting the 2002 - The Lobby Server connection has encountered an error.
Tried:
Elemental - worked to charcter selection
Chaos - worked to charcter selection
Coming close to two hours now -___-
Myself and another friend play on PS4. If PSN was down, it wouldn't let you sign into the PS4/PS3 client for FFXIV. I can sign into the client just fine, and even make it to the Character Selection screen. I just can't make it in game--always get the 90002 or 2002 error.
It's not PSN. I'm in a Party chat with friends on PS4, and if PSN was down, the party chat function wouldn't be available.
How is it that SE hasn't noticed the issue?
Having more luck than me lol. I try to switch data centers and I get 2002 error lol.
If you could get back in-game, I'd say try sending a Support message directly to the GMs, but I'm not sure how well that would work. :x
Devs do check the forums--they sometimes even reply to threads.
I with the OP--it's strange that this issue started well over an hour--almost two--and no acknowledgment on the Lodestone about it. :/
I'm also on PS4, not having any PSN issues.
As I've stated... I've made it into the game twice now... but then quickly disconnected again.
I had joined a party in the PF before all this started happening, a player was looking for help doing coil t1-13 unsync... I wanted the bonuses for WT, so I joined up. We completed t1, then everything went crayzah right before we took on t2 final boss.
I mention that because each time I got back in the game, I was still in the same party. So the other 7 random ppl that joined in PF are apparently all having the same issue as far as I can tell...
The game has begun teasing me. I'll get as far as the loading screen to actually get -into- the game, hoping that the little mail moogle will deliver some good news, then I'll get kicked back to the lobby.
Just got back in for 15 seconds. Same thing loaded in Quarrymill. People frozen. Couldn't access FC menu as if I were in a duty.
Update: got in again. Was able to talk to a fc friend but then disconnected again after 30 seconds.
At this point I don't care about getting in, I just want someone to let us know what the issue is, whether it be ISPs or an issue with the actual servers.
My friend has got booted three times and managed to get back in each time. I can't make it past the start menu most of the time. -___-
I was trying to help her catch up on the new content since she's been on a 2-month long break. We were going to get her her Seph HM clear so she could do Sophia, but so much for that now. T^T
I've been trying for an hour. Once I got to the character screen, but still never connected. This feels suspiciously like a DDoS attack. Like someone got bored or butt-hurt and we're all paying the price. Maybe we can narrow down the affected areas--geographically. I'm in Texas. My friends in Tennessee and South Carolina are fine.
What about the rest of you? (Eastern Seaboard? Southern US? West Coast? -Who's getting the brunt of this?)
Tennessee. ISP is AT&T (wonder, if it is a DDOS, if it would be affecting certain ISPs?).
My other friends that were kicked are from Rhode Island, California, and Florida.
EDIT: Got back in. Managed to teleport to FC house. Instantly disconnected after I zoned.
