By far and away one of my favorite events so far! Well done, SE. Please do more events like this and less involving FATEs.
I love it. Halloween's my favorite holiday and I've never participated in an All Saint's Wake Event before, so I've been really looking forward to it. I like how the puzzles change each time, so it doesn't feel repetitive, either.
Can we get a minion next year that looks like the "black cat" moogle decoration in the manor?
Thank so very much SE! I'm in absolute love with this event! This has to be THE BEST holiday event I've ever done on ANY MMO I've ever played on. This includes FFXI as well! I just have so much fun every time I go in the lil' dungeon, even with randoms for now! I can't wait to actually have some friends/FC mates log on and go in with them. I'm sure it'll be even more fun! This just blows all events so far out of the water! I'm having such a wonderful October, and this just helped amped that up! Thank you again DEVs and SE!
I agree wholeheartedly. Today was the first time in a long time that I did a content for the fun I was having and not the rewards.
I had so much fun! This almost tops the 2014 event where we could glamour ourselves to be NPCs. Make more instanced content like this!
That's the only thing that bugs me. Don't get me wrong I'm happy for all your female characters but once again SE finds a way to give female characters something new, originally male-exclusive, but for the male characters is just the same thing with a cape.
I like the idea but SE can do better than that when it comes to vanity rewards, for sure.
As for the event itself, I loved the dungeon. Was a nice idea and I'm looking forward to see more events like that in the future.
Yes! Great work SE! *claps*
I had fun with this year's All Saint's Wake because it was totally unexpected. When I learned that this event will have a haunted house, I was thinking that we were just going to walk through it and random NPCs would try to scare us XDD The instance was actually pretty challenging because dodging the creatures wasn't easy; I got trapped at a certain point that I had to wait until someone casts the invisibility spell lol.
This event was definitely a step in the right direction in how to do events. Some events are alright to have 1-2 FATEs but not every single event. Doesn't hurt to mix it up and keep it fresh. Good job Dev Team.
I'm not really a fan of stealth game play, so I didn't find it much fun. With that said, however, I still think this haunted house was implemented well and a lot better than fates again. I'm glad others enjoyed it.
I had sooo much fun with this event! <3 I'm loving it!!
Hello, everyone!
As Anzaman pointed out, the chair-styled mount that was shown during the Letter from the Producer Live in Las Vegas is planned for implementation post Patch 3.5.
Sorry for the confusion that arose! We hope you're all looking forward to it~!!
The event was indeed fun, ty se and especially for making the cape able to dye, I thought it wasn't so hats off for that! :p
That was a question - I would be thrilled to see it in the Gold Saucer or as drop from gubal HM or anything but the cash shop... but seeing how they've fixed us on with cool items like this in the past and where they ended up... I dont wanna get my hopes up
This is my first All Saints' Wake and I'm loving it. Able to get a lot of fun screenshots too.
Sharing this from the Miqo'te thread because I didn't see this thread first. lol.

Secret to a successful All Saints' Wake.
Step 1: To become spoopy, you must first be bit by a spoopy monster.

Step 2: Wait a small amount of time and spoopy process begins!

Definitely appreciate how they did things this way instead of giving us more FATEs. I guess they knew people would still be sore after all the Yokai grinding. Don't have to run it very many times to get all the minion/music, either.
After realizing how forgiving it was with how many times you could be caught, I usually just ran through and aggroed things if it would get me through a hall faster. The limit only really comes into play if you have trolls intentionally trying to screw up the run.Quote:
It's nice to have variety, but I didn't like that season instance.
I felt like camping in certain rooms since I had no idea how large cone or range enemy units had, and didn't want to penalize my party by experimenting.
i love the event. One thing I didnt like is when getting hit you are at the mercy of a sanity bar when depleted its game over. On the flip side there is more risk but why not reset the gauge after each task is completed.
What i really loved about the sanity bar is that it made the group talk to each other and build a strategy to complete each stage. For example if find a invisibility marker you can ask the group when they need it instead of just grabbing it so we can get to each marker a lot easier. Also i thought it was cool to give some clues where each marker could be which made the group brain-storm if you will so we were more successful.
I hope they implement this into normal dungeons and PoTD as well. It is so much fun when we actually talk with each other in a dungeon environment... It made things a lot more interesting and so much more fun.
5 out of 5 will run this again on my alts.
I thought this event was pretty much the best All Saint's Wake we've had, I'm a big Halloween fan so I was super happy with it, the whole thing of mini games in the Manor was great~! Really glad it wasn't just another fate grind fest, hopefully we'll see more variety too with other events, gg SE! (here's hoping for Xmas)
You guys are really hard to please lol. This was something different. The community had always wanted them to break the monotony and venture into new things which I think this event delivered, though I wish there would've been more glamours aside from just the shirt. Would you rather do yokai?..
I did it with both the pubs and my friends, we had fun. Just because you had one bad run you decide this isn't a good event, give constructive criticism on why it is bad.
So nice to see them coming up with something new! Even has aspects which forces party members to talk and communicate! Best of all, it's not a "go zerg some fates" event, this is a wonderful change! Well done SE!
Ayame had fun with it, cleared it on the second try because everyone talked through the entire event. My only complaint is that the event is so much shorter than last time, i heard a lot of people afterwards shouting "wait is that it?" when they finished.
i like storyline cutscenes so i was kind of sad about that. it was nice to see the miqo'kitten and her mom back from last year though~
I will say that i can see how the actual reward has gotten mixed reviews since there was that flying broom /and/ costume last time but i was ok with the vest, now if only i was a moon kitty for the fangs it would be perfect.
I just did this, but boy it is HILARIOUS. This is the best event this games had for me.
I'm so glad they took our advice with adding Instanced events. xD My friends are screaming and cursing
and failing it's funny. xD
Great job SE for this!
I was kind of exited with the event, finally a dungeon to have fun in. Then it hit me, its was a stealth based quest which i utterly despise. I just cant do them, in the end i just sat in a safe corner and let the other people do them or we would have been kicked out, my mood got so bad that i could have trown my controller right through my television. And to my despair, i need to do it 3 more times to get the minion and music.
Please SE, next time yes do a dungeon but never ever make it stealth based again!
It's not too bad once you get used to it. Just hug the opposite wall for the flying eyes(they can only see directly in front of them and won't see anything on the other side unless they're turning to face you) and give yourself some space from the wisps (can see all around themselves). If you still have issues with it then just dive in with 3 friends that understand you're having an issue and run around the monster free area looking for charms to set off for them.
I was lucky enough to run it with my wife to be, and the others didnt object so at least it got completed, but i know i'm not coming back as soon as i have my items.
There was only one event i absolutely liked and that was the one where we had to do treasure maps. :)
This was definitely more enjoyable than grinding FATEs. Despite it being a reused Haukke (which naturally fit the theme), I do like the fact that it wasn't battle based, and that each run the objective is random. More events like this, possibly with unique assets, as well as community-based participation events like the Little Ladies Day where mannequins were completed as more people participated are much more engaging.
I actually enjoyed this event, so i'm glad they did it. This is the kind of thing they need to add to PotD, the puzzles and such interest me a lot even if they are basically put 2 and 2 together.
I personally found it to be a fun challenge. Not being able to ninja stealth but sneak past everything made it interesting.
This event was great fun! I really enjoyed! Just wish I could have gotten the Broom Mount off the Mog Station. :(
It was cool and different.

It's available with $12 price.
Loved this event! I really liked the necessary player co-operation. It was complex enough to be fun, but not so complex as to be frustrating.
It was a little funny seeing my character act in shock at the Imps transformations. This is, what, the fourth time he's seen it? You'd think he'd be used to it by now!
I haven't done this yet but to those who are encountering deliberate trolls in the instance may I suggest that you report them. It's Halloween, everyone should be getting sweets, not sours - let them understand that trolls get tricks, not treats.
Awesome event, really easy to get the items you want as well. The variety you have in the seasonal instance, along with the stealth mechanics makes it a blast to play!
Way better than the last event I participated in (Ladies' Day). Still pissed I missed the super sentai event, I want those pose emotes >.>
I really enjoyed this event. I'll admit, the instance was a little bit confusing at first. My first party defiantly ran around in confusion as a group and we walked away with 40 or so sanity, but it was still really fun and I like that the puzzles aren't always the same every run. 10/10 team. \o/
Bravo SE. This was the first event that it was actually fun and different and required a party instead of the boring Fates or talk to X NPC. The only thing I have to complain about is the rewards. The rewards were underwhelming. Please SE make future events fun like this.
I absolutely love this event, it is my favorite so far. <3 Finally no fate farming and something new too. Hopefully they will do more such things in the future. Its kinda funny to be turned into a pumpkin and sometimes you have really nice people too.
Some small points: Would be nice to do those with only two people. The timer should be way enough and this might help later if not a lot of people are doing it anymore. And it would be nice to at least get a cookie for each task that you manage to solve. So if you have one tasks done you will get 1 and so on..the four will be the best price by completing the whole thing. Because it is a little frustrating to get nothing, because people are not able to take it slowly or wait for the hints..
The negative thing (but also only small): The vest instantly went into the chest. It was not that special and it came without any trousers. Nice to have one and better than nothing but maybe at least give us a whole costume set. (Or a funny hat or something) But I do love the fireworks. Got over 99 already and will get more. :D
So in the end its really a nice, funny event with only some really really small negative points.
