Encyclopedia Eorzea not spotted in NA Square Enix Store

My order finally processed and was validated (why did I have to go through this? I literally just bought something from them Friday >.>), and it is saying it is in pre-order status. But I'll be damned if I cancel and try to reorder after hearing it's already out of stock!

I really hope this all gets sorted out soon. Maybe the store is overrun by people wanting the item...

I don't know if this was linked yet. Mine still says it's a preorder, but this should calm some nerves.

Just tried to order it a few minutes ago and yeah, out of stock. I'm surprised that showed up after being available for 30min. Literally, I hope there's an error. Or is this common on the SE store?

Mine says the same. I am not worried, I'm sure it will get sorted out. I feel really bad for everyone that didn't get one though, I did not expect them to sell out in 30 mins. I was going to give it at least an hour @.@

Sold out in the middle of checkout. Really?

The book is a hot ticket item.

A lot of people at fanfest itself didn't get one, so I suspect many of them were camping the store. Plus the ones who couldn't go and wanted it were also after it. I'm not surprised it sold out so fast, even with a 1 per order cap. I don't think they were aware of the demand, to be honest.

I don't know, but if it is out of stock after being available for approximately 40 minutes, I hope SE has a whole warehouse full of them. Otherwise I'd have to question their sanity as to why they advertised it so much during the FanFest, especially the Lore panel.

I just hope that more copies get re-printed quick! Or maybe even an e-book version. 30 minute sellout is going to make alot of people disappointed.

Yeah, ouch - I wasn't expecting it to sell out THAT fast. I figured if it went up at 10AM then 10:45 would be plenty early to get one, but nope. Hopefully they restock soon - clearly the demand for this thing is high!

Somehow I get the impression that the team wasn't aware just how many people actually took the lore seriously enough to warrant such massive demand for the book.

Even I'm considering buying one, and I never buy game merchandise at all.

(I had a friend that went to fanfest that had the lore book get sold out when she was in line behind 5 other people at the stall, and now she's missed this opportunity too, being shoved to the preorder list.)

This happens all the time and it's ridiculous. When will SE learn? Should have allowed Pre-Orders months ago so they'd know how many to make.

This is kind of depressing. Ever since I first heard about the Encyclopedia, literally months before FanFest, I was already sold on the product. I'm bordering on sheer, utter disbelief at how they could not have expected a high demand for it. Just because we've broken into the techno age and a lot of us spend plenty of time playing video games, it doesn't mean we don't know or appreciate what a book is, for crying out loud. Especially if it's on a game we care about. Oy vey.

I think my order got lost since I tried to cancel and order it as a normal one when it came up as a pre-order. If I lose out on this due to a clerical error, I'm gonna be pissed.

Let them know! Not just here, but on twitter, on Facebook, every social site they have let everyone know how popular this really is! It won't stay sold out, more will be made, but spreading the word may help get more sooner.

Even if it gets restocked, it will prob sell out within 30min of being re-posted. That's what happened with cait sith.

Since the book sold out so quickly I was wondering if anyone got told they got back ordered?

II hope they print more, I want one and I missed it earlier.

I'm still not even home from fanfest yet, and nearly cried when I heard they had already sold out. Glad to see theyre making more...hopefully it's actually enough. (Doubtful though) I'm on the waiting list, would be nice if they actually took preorders so that they could get an even better idea on how many people want this. I was so close to the registers when they sold out...SO CLOSE! T_T

Ordered it while it was still a preorder. I got a pre-order confirmation but nothing saying it is being shipped yet.

Well, on the bright side, maybe they'll take the opportunity to correct some of the "Bugs" people have found and listed in Anonymoose's thread?

I'm in the exact same boat. Mine is still listed as a "preorder" on my account because I ordered during the error. Sent a report to customer service asking whether this is just a lingering clerical error and the book will still be shipped to me soon, but I haven't heard anything back from them at all. D;

Edit: They just got back to me and changed the status of my order to validated. Good luck to everyone else who ordered during the pre-order error!

Same here. I imagine they're swamped with us right now, haha.

My order status has also changed from pre order to validated. Delivery status has changed to Preparing order as well.

Confirming. Sent a note to customer support and my order changed from Pre-Order to Validated and Preparing Order.

Thanks I submitted a ticket and my status has been changed. Yay. :)

My status changed to Validated as well. I didn't have to send in a ticket or anything. It appears they're just working their way through the orders.

Yeah I didn't have to send any kind of ticket in. It just did this naturally. They are deffo just working through orders bit by bit.
