Well, at least the new Alex:C sets look beautiful.
Would've preferred a set of the DoL/DoH-only Ironworks/Carbonweave for all classes to wear than anything I'm seeing so far.
I need the poncho in my life.
This just occurred to me, but has there always been a catgirl posing for the new sets?
Looks like crafters are going to make some serious bank in 3.4 if that mage outfit is from crafting, cause that scripture is rather.... yuck...
I think they both look ace!
I don't like the scripture and dungeon gear either, but i respect the developer for what they've done. Because designing gear for fun without any restrictions is, if you can draw easy, but doing it with restrictions is much harder. I don't know what they at Square have to deal with, but seeing their gear and one comment about polygon count on the community gear makes me think, they probably have to design gear, which...
- fits the theme
- fits the other gear of the same set
- fits into the polygon budget of the gear and looks great after the designer put it into the game
- fits the class/jobs
and more.
I really liked the community effort for the tank gear. Some great additions, but a lot of them didn't even looked like tank gear or fit into the world at all. Keep in mind that the only real restriction for them was to design tank gear. No offense to them, but they probably would have a hard time working anywhere as a designer when they can't even meet this requirement.
Of course everyone has different taste and opinions on the gear or anything else. I really liked the healer midan gear set for example and this time only the crafter healer set looks good to me. Dunno about the healer alex 3 set yet, but imo we should respect developers more for their work they are doing week and week out under conditions designer, which are doing this as a hobby haven't to deal with. Doing something as a hobby is easy, but doing it as work is much harder imo.
